Birthday Wishes Deco Diamonds
by Meghan Kennihan

Final_5 (2)Hi Crafty Friends,
I am back with my new FAVORITE stencil, the Poppy Stamps Deco Diamond Stencil. I love layering stencils. Earlier this month I made an all pink card with this stencil and today I decided to make a monochromatic purple birthday card with a different shade of purple for each  layer of the stencil.

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: What is your favorite shade of purple?
A: Me? Bright, like Wilted Violet Distress Oxide

Final_4 (2)The Pointy Lattice Plate die fits perfectly with this stencil and makes such a cool textured pattern! I added the beautiful Birthday Wishes Script Die with Fairy Gems for the dots of the "i"s.

Bright Smile
by Michele K. Henderson

IMG_4289-1-wm

Hello Friends!

I have got a big, bright smile today because I have the opportunity to use a few brand new Poppystamps dies from the newest release! These big bold designs will make you smile too. Take a look!

IMG_4286-wm

I started with a pretty blue card base panel and cut the new Rainbow Arch is shades of vivid pinks and pale lavender. I thought it would look cool to try something a little different from the ROYGBIV rainbows. I like how fresh and modern this bright rainbow turned out.

Using the Rainbow Arch die is easy breezy. It cuts 7 crisp, even bands that fit together so perfectly! You can use 1 or 2 or all 7 to create perfect rainbows!

I finished the design with an array of hearts from Heart Jumble,  lilac Fairy Gemstone, and two bright pink Fairy Jewels.

Send this card to someone special and they will smile too!

Thinking of You
by Meghan Kennihan

Final_2 (5)
Hi Crafty Friends,
I love sending cards to friends for non-holidays just to know I'm thinking of them. I created this monochrome purple card for a friend going through a hard time so she knows I'm here for her.

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: Do you send "random" cards throughout the year?
A: Me? Yes! Monthly

Final_1

I created the background by splatter a piece of paper from the Vibrant Violets 6x6 Paper pad with Copic White Opaque paint and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink, then I die cut the hearts with the Heartfelt Pinpoint Frame die. I just love the quilted look. I used the Vintage Scalloped Heart die to frame my sentiment and added some Fairy Jewels for extra sparkle.

Challenge Reminder - Polar Bear Hugs
by Jeanne Jachna

Whittle Polar Bears-Poppystamps-Jeanne Jachna

Hi Friends!  I'm sharing my card today that I made for the February Poppystamps Challenge.  This month it's all about Me & You!   We're looking for projects (it doesn't have to be a card) for your special someone.  You can make a Valentine, or maybe a project sharing something that you love doing together like looking at the stars!

My card features the Whittle Polar Bears in a snowy scene that comes together quick with an ombre Distress Ink Background.  Here's how it came together...

I always start my cards by laying out the images on a piece of clear plastic the size of my card base.  I like that I can pick up the entire arrangement and lay it over different color backgrounds (and believe me I moved it several times) until I find one that I like best, commit, and adhere it in place.

I like to get the most I can out of my die cuts.  For the little hearts on the card I used the negative cut outs from two different background panels so I got a bunch of different size hearts.  For the "moon" I used a circle die - a punch would work just as well.   These are also great ways to use up some of your cardstock scraps.

I use a cosmetic brush to apply the Distress Ink - this time I used Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry.    I think this is the best way to blend, but you still might get some darker lines from the brush.  If you splatter the panel with water, some watered down darker shade of ink, and/or some white ink/or acrylic paint) these lines won't be noticeable at all.

I added "rosy" cheeks to the bears with a soft pink marker.  You could also color the nose and add a google eye if your feeling like you need more details.

I appreciate you stopping by to say hi!  I hope you find some time to make today!

A Box of Chocolates
by Rachel Duong

IMG_1931

Happy New Year!  I hope you are looking forward to good things in 2023.  This is me, Rachel, here to share with you a box of chocolates! I was absolutely thrilled when I saw the Poppystamps "Vintage Scalloped Heart" die. Immediately, a heart-shaped tin full of decadent chocolates came to mind.  I imagined rich, vibrant papers complete with sparkle and shine to create a delicious card.  Valentine's Day is just around the corner, here is my Valentine's Day card for you!

Steps to create this card.
1. Die cut the scalloped heart from the Poppystamps "Vintage Scalloped Heart" die from the Memory Box "Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad". The paper I chose is a pearl gold. It is gorgeous!
2. Die cut the heart with the sunburst accents using metallic red cardstock from the Memory Box "Rainbow Reflections Mirror Pad".
3. Die cut the Poppystamps "Sending Love Poe Script" sentiment in antique gold glitter paper from the Memory Box "Festive Glitter Pad". (Save the heart)

4. Using dark brown, die cut the Poppystamps "Heartfelt Pinpoint Frame" background die. (Save the little hearts for another card!)
5. Using a medium brown, cut an A2 size card front.
6. Finally, glue the pieces together. Don't forget the glitter heart!
7. Adhere to a black card base or any color of your choice!

Pictured are the amazing Poppystamps dies I used from the Valentine's release.

I hope you love this Valentine as much as I do. It reminds me so much of sweet memories involving chocolate surprises! Fabulous glitter and beautiful shiny red paired with two shades of rich chocolate brown are just enough to add a warm sentimental glow.

May you have a beautiful day today. See you very soon. Until then, sending much love your way!
