Holiday Place Cards
by Robin Tharaldson

Holiday Place Card Full With

I'm not sure how many of you set your holiday table with place cards but my mom and grandmom ALWAYS had place cards! Hopefully it's not another  tradition falling by the wayside. I still use place cards; because I know not to have my Aunt sit next to a certain cousin...not going there!!! I made these super simple place cards using Poppystamps Double Stitch Tags, Tree Line Hill die and Memory Box Open Studio Pinpoint Scalloped Circles!

Holiday Place Card CU1 With

I cut two, of the Pinpoint Scalloped Circles, from white card stock to create the base of my place card. The little piercings around the edge are so pretty!

Holiday Place Card CU2 With

I added a little snow to the Tree Line Hill die cut using Simply White  Nuvo Crystal Drops; just needed a little something. I used the smallest of the Double Stitch Tags dies to create the name tag that slips behind the trees! I added the name using a thick white gel pen!

Holiday Place Card CU3 With

Here's a side view to show you how the place card stands up; you could even put a few chocolates inside!!  The following video shows how to assemble the Holiday Place Card!!

I hope you give this simple project a try; I think it would look great using kraft card stock as the background for a more rustic feel!! Thanks for stopping by and check out the Poppystamps Blog for more holiday project ideas!

Holiday Shaker Gift Card Tag
by Robin Tharaldson

Holiday Tags Full With

Well it's official, the Holidays are here, whether we are ready for them or not!!  My super easy shaker tag is great for those last minute, I need a gift now situations!! I'm using the Double Stitch Tags set to create my gift card holder, which could double as a card base; you need to watch my video to see how the inside is put together!!

Holiday Tags With CU1

For the shaker panel I used Simple Pinpoint Snowflake Frame, clear acetate and 1/8" foam strips from Darice! These tiny foam strips made this shaker go together FAST! No more cutting minute foam strips...

Holiday Tags CU2 With

My sentiment, from the Christmas Time stamp set, is inside and holds the gift card!!  The following video will show you just how easy this tag card is to make AND it fits into an A2 envelope!

Fall Leaves
by Robin Tharaldson

Oct 26 Full With

There is a "hint" of Fall in the air here in SoCal!!!  Last week it was in the 90's, so who knows what is coming next, temperature wise!!  My project was inspired by a video from Sheri Carroll, she used her acrylic block as a "smusher" and applied watercolors to her paper.  I used the same technique to create my Fall leaves for my Grateful card along with products from Poppystamps Holiday Happenings Release! Click HERE to see the entire release!

Oct 26 CU1 No

I used Whittle Oak and Whittle Maple Leaf dies for my card; I just love all the detail in these die cuts!

Oct 26 CU3 With

The Triple Stitch Window die is the perfect frame for my Fall leaves. I popped up the leaf panel using foam tape for a bit of dimension!

Oct 26 CU2 With

My sentiment is from the Deco Frames and Phrases stamp set; just a perfect font for so many occasions!!  Be sure to watch my video to see how I created my Fall leaves!!

Simple Holiday Card
by Robin Tharaldson

Simple Holiday Card Sept29 Full With

Not much goes according to plan in life and that's where I am with having all my holiday cards done by now! Our home renovation is going to take much longer than planned so I don't have much room to craft and I realize I was totally spoiled with my old craft room. Seed Snowflake Joy die to the rescue!! This die, from Poppystamps 2018 Holiday, has made my card making a snap!

Simple Holiday Card Sept29 CU3 With

The die is one piece so it's EASY to use and cuts like butter! Not to mention the snowflake is beautiful! I can see using this die as a shaker (if you have time) or perhaps using silver glitter card stock behind; which is what I wanted to use but could not find my silver paper...magine that!

Simple Holiday Card Sept29 CU2 With

The following video will show you how easy and quick this card was to put together!

Merry Tags Card
by Robin Tharaldson

Sept22 Merry Full With

My project for today is featuring more products from Poppystamps 2018 Holiday release! If you haven't checked out the new dies and stamps just click HERE! For my tags I used the stencil that comes with Pinpoint Snowflake Sidekick Frame die set! What a great addition and so many uses!! My tags are framed using the smallest die from Stitchwork Rectangle Frames die set.

Sept22 Merry CU2 NO

I have once again created a card that uses an A-10 (business) format; just a different look and still uses a first class stamp! As long as it isn't too heavy or exceeds 1/4" thick, lol! This size lets you be really creative with composition and design!

Sept22 Merry CU1 With

To finish my card I used Liquid Pearls to create the look of falling snow; I would much rather have just flicked some white paint, but we are still in the middle of a remodel and I can't find my white paint...along with a few other crafting necessities!

The following video will show you how this card goes together!

Holiday Blog Blitz! Joy to the World
by Robin Tharaldson

BlogBlitzAug3 Full NO

Can you believe it's August already?!!??? It is definitely time to start thinking about making your holiday cards and projects! AND what a better way than Poppystamps Holiday 2018 Release! Not to mention a Blog Blitz where you could be the winner of one of the NEW dies from the release!

I decided to use a #10 envelope for my cards this year! It's still first class postage but has that different look! The #10 envelopes I am using are from Paper Source and are much heavier than a standard office supply envelope.

BlogBlitzAug3 CU1 With

My Joy to The World card features several of the dies from the Holiday Release! For the background of the ornaments I used the largest of the Retro Ornaments dies and then embossed them using a snowflake embossing folder.

BlogBlitzAug3 CU2 With

For my JOY I used the Joy Outline die set! I cut the outline three times from white cardstock, stacked together to create more dimension and then added a single layer of the red joy! The following video will show you how to create this card!

If you would like to win the Joy Outline die, please leave a comment!!  Here's all the important information about Poppystamps Holiday Release Blog Blitz!  The blog blitz runs from July 24 to August 4, 2018; Poppystamps is giving away a prize on every Blog Blitz post during this time.  You must leave a comment on ONLY the posts you wish to enter.  To enter ALL the posts during the Blog Blitz you need to leave a comment on EACH ONE.  One person will be chosen at random from each of the posts during the blog blitz. Summer Release Blog Blitz-To a Special Friend
by Robin Tharaldson

PS June 26 Full With

I hope you have seen the latest release from Poppystamps...no? Well here's the link to see all the new products Summer Release! PLUS, you could win the Daisy Frame die from the Summer Release, more information at the end of my post! The pretty background die on my card is the Daisy Frame!! This die is 4" square and is very versatile! For this card I cut the Daisy Frame three times, yes I know, I do that a lot, BUT I love how it looks!

PS June 26 CU1 With

Also new to this release is the Friend Folksy Script die; just a super fun font! I layered three together, he he he, for more dimension and used a sentiment from the Fairy Wishes stamp set. I cut one sentiment (Special Friend) apart and added it to another (To A), to create the exact wording I wanted on my card.

PS June 26 CU2 With

The dark grey cardstock I used was a nice compliment to the light pink cardstock. It's a nice contrast but much softer looking than black! The following video will show you how to put this card together!

If you would like to win the Daisy Frame die, please leave a comment!!  Here's all the important information about Poppystamps Summer Release Blog Blitz!  The blog blitz runs from June 19-29, 2018; Poppystamps is giving away a prize on every Blog Blitz post during this time.  You must leave a comment on ONLY the posts you wish to enter.  To enter ALL the posts during the Blog Blitz you need to leave a comment on EACH ONE.  One person will be chosen at random from each of the posts during the blog blitz. Bee-lieve in Yourself
by Robin Tharaldson

PS June 18 Full With

With graduations happening all over the city, I created a card to encourage any graduate!

PS June 18 CU1 With

For my background I used the Honeycomb Curve die on a panel of white cardstock. I then backed the panel with a honey colored panel.  I cut the Believe Loose Script die three times and stacked together to create a dimensional word. I also sponged a little Fossilized Amber to the bottom for more interest.

PS June 18 CU2 With

My little bees are from a blog hop Poppystamps had with Buttons Galore! The shanks, on the back of the buttons, are easily removed with wire snips. The following video will show you just how this card went together!

I hope you enjoyed my card and tutorial, thanks for stopping by and I'll see you next time!
