Calendar Tab 2021. Christmas Easel Card.
by Pam Simpson

Hello Everyone, Have you seen this gorgeous scene on Memory Box embossing folder "Snowy Forest" ..makes a quick card. I decided to create calendar tab easel cards for Christmas.

I have used white pearl card..

I cut a rectangle using Memory Box Basic Rectangle dies. Embossing folder/green ink & Brayer ..I find this gives a better coverage of ink.

I have inked the embossing folder, smooth side, when you run your fingers over the folder, you`ll know which side this is, the other is really prominent raised pattern.

This is how my rectangle embossed! I love the speckle effect, give a lovely soft look. (Hope you agree)

This is serving two purpose. frame for my embossing panel and fancy  panel for the inside of the easel. used the Rectangle and fancy die from Easel card die.

thin white card, added Washi tape to both sides, covers for my Calendars.

These were so quick to make ..I have made Three  to send out for Christmas cards. Sentiment Poppystamps "Christmas Quotes" cut with stitch circles Memory Box, you do get dies with these stamps, but wanted a smaller circle, decoration, Memory Box "Fairy Sugar" glitter card.  Poppystamp Garden Berries / Grosgrain Bow.

Hope you`ll have a go at these quick makes...Thank you for stopping by Pam x.

Winter House With Lights.
by Pam Simpson

Hello everyone, I had to have a go at a light up "Winter House Pop Up Easel"  as one of my Christmas Decoration! perfect for my mantel piece this Christmas. Hope you can understand this how to, with pictures.

I started by die cutting White card, what I need to make the card, the bright yellow is heavy velum. these are the light`s I will be using.. I`m in the UK, I purchased these from Amazon LED Fairy Lights- outdoor-indoor decorations.. showing you them light up above.

Using double sided tape/pva glue adhere velum to the top section, then using scissors trim away the velum.

Adhere windows/ roof/ snow cutouts as shown, card shape on the left if for the main card to adhere to..this will be the main card shape for the easel card, shown above.

wrong side attach the battery with double sided tape (This is the side you attach to your easel) punch a hole and thread the lights through to the right side.

Using strips of foam tape adhered to the velum, then the  lights, these I twisted together (Was A Long length)..as shown! Hope your following this lol.

Check the lights are working ..Before attaching to the main panel.

Adhere the two panels together.

Attach these panel to the easel, along the fold line.

Got to have fake snow, this is what I used Viva.

Next has to have sparkle and snow look.

I used the tiny holly leaves from "Merry Christmas" red pearls, and a double gingham bow... Basic Rectangles Memory Box, perfect size for the "Merry Christmas" as a Stopper for Easel.

I hope you manage to follow and understand my write up and hope the pictures help..hope you have a go at a light up decoration. Should say the On /Of switch for the Lights is inside the easel, so easy to get too.

By Pam Simpson

Hello everyone, another take of this fabulous Poppystamps "Birdhouse Pop Up Easel Die", can be used for so many occasions, mine could be Christmas/Anniversary/birthday/New home celebration, list is endless..

I have used Kraft card and dark green card, red for these cardinals.

I cut another from the easel shape, rather than just use the next layer up.

This is how I layered up, used a pencil to add a bit of detail to the roof! Also along the wood lines in the green card. just ready to add a sentiment and glitter.

I wanted a green edging for the inside,

think it finish`s of the inside, when I have added my sentiment, I have place for my insert.

I wanted just Celebrate, so us tape to mask of, ink up then remove the tape.

Memory Box Glitters to add to the foliage.

If I had used this Easel card for Christmas, I would have added some snow detail.

Peace Love and Merry Christmas..
By Pam Simpson

Hello Everyone,  I wanted the main focal point on this card to be  "Merry Christmas" sentiment from poppystamp,  I have used the Poppystamps "Lamplight Pathway as a background for this die.

I cut in white card Lamplight Pathway, using low tack tape, roughly taped where I wanted the light to shin.

Using a brush I inked the background with Distress Oxide ink."faded Jeans", for a night sky.

I sprayed using water and left to dry.

To create a frame, I have used  2 largest Memory Box "Wrapped Stitched Rectangles"

Disregard the center, I only used the outer frame, I also inked the edges.

Background nearly finished, just to add some Aleens Glitter Snow..this is a paste I use.

For the "Merry Christmas" I have used Memory Box 6x6 papers pads..Glitter Pages Red..Frosted Glitter Black.. cut the read first and double sided sticky tape to hold the Merry in place,  I cut away the black Christmas, then adhered to the red Merry ..black to create an outline. The frame has 3 D foam tape, adhered to a slight bigger mat of black card .

Decorated with Snowflakes, these I cut apart from "Snowflake Tall Curve Border. clear droplets gems. Peace, Love And ..old Poppystamps  "Tidings Of Joy" clear stamps.. This card is flat for shipping/posting ..Finished card 5.1/2 inches x 6.1/2 inches ..

Happy Birthday!.
Pam Simpson

Hello everyone, do you ever see a die shape and know just what your going to do with it! This is the case when Poppystamps fetched out this "Echo Blossoms" die set..said to me Flower Foam..have you ever tried this foam!, love the natural look you can create using dies and Flower Foam.

Here`s how I did these beautiful looking flowers..so easy!

I have used one above the smallest die in the set and 2 above, you can cut many layers of the flower foam together, with a die, I did 3 layers of white.

Scribbled a touch of colour, believe me you do not have to be careful! cheap oil pastels, you can use lots of colouring mediums.

gather the tops and scrunch up as shown.

unroll the petals.

I use a hot glue gun to layer these petals up.

My topper for the flowers..Cream and soft green card.

I used hot glue, to place the foam flowers and Orchard Leaves. I did a bit more scrunching up bottom of the flowers, before placing in the hot glue.

Would you have thought you could create beautiful flowers from these dies..

Finished card 6.1/4 inches x 7. 1/2 inches.. alternately you could make a smaller card around 5.1/4 inches x 6.1/4 inches ..I like a large card for our UK designs.

The Flower Foam I used.. can be easily be moulded with your fingers, sometimes I`ll use a travel iron, this tends to shrink the foam...I do use both methods.
