How to Create a DIY Ethnic Background
by Olga Direktorenko

Hi everyone!

Today I'd like to suggest a way to create your own unique background pattern with the dies that you might already have.

Having a large card size die/stamp/embossing folder is great but building up a pattern yourself makes you a true artist! Besides, it's a great way to add a bit more depth and a bit of color to it! And - it's just a lot of fun to do!

Watch the video below for a step by step guide! Thanks for visiting today!

Breakfast Card
by Olga Direktorenko

Hi, hope you are doing great!

The card I've made today was inspired by the picture of my breakfast (you can find the original picture in the video below). Don't be surprised it's just the eggs and not something breathtaking, big or "important". I actually find small everyday things like these much more inspiring because this is what life is made from.

I have re-purposed donut dies to make the eggs, circle border die was used to create peas and the dish is made with simple circles. Find a step by step video guide at the end of this post!

Thank you for visiting today, have a lovely weekend!

Fishbowl Card
by Olga Direktorenko

Hi and happy Easter!

Hope you are having wonderful time! The card I would like to show you today is goldfish themed. I used to have goldfish when I was little and I still lover their elegance and grace.

I used some very basic and simple mixed media techniques to create a variety of textures on this card. Watch the video tutorial below for step by step instructions.

Lantern Shaker Card
by Olga Direktorenko

Hi crafty people,

It's been a while since I last made a shaker card and I nearly forgot how much fun it is! This one has a shaped shaker window - a lantern with a bulb inside!

This project is quite simple but there are some little tips and tricks that I would like to share. Please find below a video tutorial and of course, some close up pictures of a card!

Spring Window
by Olga Direktorenko

Hello crafters and welcome to another post of the Blog Blitz. Today you have a chance to win the beautiful Garden Poppy Stitched Frame die from the new Poppystamps release. Just comment on this post by March 17. Winners will be announced on March 19!

Poppies

I have used this die as well as other Poppy dies to "create a window with a view" scene. I have simply stuck the poppy frame behind the potted flower frame, then added a couple of hills and the background. Finally I mounted the entire piece onto the embossed A2 card base.

March Serenade
by Olga Direktorenko

Hi crafty friends,

So many things are associated with the coming of spring, one of them being... cats! What are you thinking of as the spring approaches?

I have combined several different Poppystamps dies to create a March night scene. This card is simple to create and it's a lot of fun too. I have used inlay die cutting to create a cloudy sky background, some simple stamping for a sentiment and then just attached the die cut images (either with regular adhesive or mounting tape) to build up a little scene!
