Happy MEOW-LOWEEN
by Lisa Elton

Have you seen the latest Halloween release? There are some adorable "too cute to spook" items available! I've created a scene featuring the sweetest little trio of Ghostly Cats for you today. Take a look...

24 0920 000 copyHow cute are they? This scene came together so easily and quickly. Let me show you my steps.

24 0916 002 copyI started by inking a big harvest moon onto a white panel. Then I masked off the moon and inked a dusky evening sky. The sentiment from the Bugs and Hisses stamp set was stamped on the moon using black ink. I backed this panel with a black mat then popped them onto a tent fold card base.

24 0916 007 copyI gathered my dies (Ghostly Cats & Dainty Mushrooms) and some Memory Box plaid paper.

24 0916 006 copyAfter cutting all of my pieces, I played around with placement, then glued everything together. The ghostly overlay on the cats was cut from vellum.

24 0920 002 copyI centered this cluster under the harvest moon then added a few Autumn Fairy Jewels.

These cutie little mushrooms aren't just a fall die. They can be dressed up any way you like for whatever season! I thought these rusty orange plaid tops were cute for Halloween. The spiders are included in the Bugs and Hisses stamps set. They added just the right amount of creepy fun!

24 0920 000 copyJust imagine all of the incredible things you could create with these goodies in your collection! I wish you a Happy MEOW-LOWEEN!

Hi friends! It's Rachel here sharing a charming monochromatic mushroom card. It's something a little delicate and yet cute too! As we head into the fall season, lots of mushroom hunting abounds and the images of these fungi are everywhere. The Poppystamps "Dainty Mushrooms" are super sweet and full of happy vibes!IMG_6456

To create this card, I began with a creme cardfront measuring approximately 4" x 5 1/4". I centered the Poppystamps "Nordic Bloom" craft stencil over it. Next I lightly ink blended tea dye distress ink on it.

I cut an oval shape from heavy vellum and glued the center point down on the stenciled pattern. Then I chose an Open Studio greeting tab and adhered it to the center, this also acts as a cover to disguise the glue under the vellum.

I die cut the caps of the "Dainty Mushrooms" in gold glitter cardstock from the Festive Glitter Pad (see below). Then I die cut the bases in watercolor paper. Brown hues of paint loosely applied to the bases create character. I applied strips of black underneath to make the eyes stand out. I glued the mushrooms together and then to the cardfront, careful to overlap the vellum to help hide additional glue under the vellum.

Pastel Fairy Jewels adorn the card with sparkling accents. I placed the upper two jewels on the vellum edge to adhese the edges in these areas.

Finally, silver metallic thread triple wrapped around the upper portion of the card gives the finishing touch of flair. I also gave the bow extra loops to add bulk as the thread is so fine it can get lost on the card.
IMG_6449A close-up look at the fun metallic pieces lending an extra special touch to the card design. The sentiment is a definite nod to the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday!

Thankful for you always! Have a wonderful day and can't wait to share more cards soon. Please take a look at the new Poppystamps release. The new dies are incredible and the possibilities are endless! Until the next post, I will miss you MUSH!

Whimsical Hugs and Kisses
By Lisa Elton

24 0729 013 copyReady for a bit of whimsy? The new Large Mushroom House is filled with possibilities! I couldn't resist giving mine a red polka dot roof and a couple of furry friends.

24 0729 009 copyThe Mushroom house stem was die cut from kraft paper then shading was added with Copic Markers. Vellum was adhered to the back of each window with a golden yellow cardstock layered behind it for that magical glow. This polka dot red roof  just makes me happy! The house was added to the Harvest Oval Frame (currently on sale and worth every penny!) cut from Memory Box plaid paper. I snipped a few pieces from the top of the frame to let the mushroom complete the oval.

24 0729 012 copyEverything was added to a top fold marshmallow card base. I rounded the top corners with a punch to keep that oval flow going. A couple of Whittle Squirrels are frolicking about. I think they have their eye on that acorn!

24 0729 013 copyLittle Layered Asters were cut from white cardstock then colored with a Copic Marker to get the same blush tone of the polka dots on the roof.

24 0729 014 copy
I tucked in those pieces cut from the oval frame along with a few more polka dot berry branches (from the same frame) cut from roof scraps. The Sentimental Banners sentiment was positioned to follow the bottom curve of the house.

24 0729 013 copyToday is my late father-in-law's birthday. He used to enjoy sitting in his recliner watching the squirrels out his front window. I think he would have enjoyed a scene like this one. Hugs and kisses to you, dad and a happy heavenly birthday!

Warmest Wishes

IMG_5123

Hello! Tricia here with you today. I am sharing a wintery card using the new Nordic Wonderland release!  I am sharing the new Nordic Forest Gnome and Large Mushroom House.   How cute is this gnome? He looks like Santa to me!  I love working with die cuts and adding details with a mix of markers and ink blending.  I started out by trimming a card panel using some patterned paper from the Yuletide Plaid paper pack.  I ink blended onto the top of the panel with dark blue ink.  I trimmed the panel done to 4 by 5.25 inches.

I die cut the Nordic Forest Gnome and Large Mushroom House from colored cardstock.  I used a small blender brush and added ink to the edges.  For the Gnomes face, I used my alcohol markers.  I added some additional details with a white gel pen.   The grassy border was made with the new Nordic Wintertide Border set.

To add to the wintery scene, I die cut a Wide Pine Needle Shoots tree from several different colors of green cardstock.  I stamped a greeting from the Holiday Banners Clear stamp and die set.  I finished off the card with some Christmas Fairy Jewels.  I hope you have a wonderful day!
