A Fine and Delicate Christmas
by Rachel Duong

Just a few more sleeps and Christmas is here!  Hi, it's Rachel and I am here to share one more card with you before the special day arrives. I used the Poppystamps "Nordic Border Set" and the "Layered Holly Branch" dies for this soft and pretty creation.

I love the intricate detail of the background. It is just gorgeous with white on a white cardbase. I painted the holly in a mixed palette of green distress inks to give them depth and character.

Another look at the entire card before we go on.

The Poppystamps "Lavish Merry Christmas" sentiment is a beautiful font and pairs perfectly with the delicate lace. It also comes with a shadow but I chose not to use it on this card. I wanted each piece to be light and airy! A soft red cardstock was just the right fit from the Memory Box "Berry Red Collection".

For the finishing touch, I adhered Open Studio "Fairy Jewels" in a precious mauve hue!

I hope you love this card as much as I do.  The Poppystamps "Nordic Border Set" is so stunning,  it pretty much sets the stage for something magical to happen!

Wishing you peace and joy during  and throughout the season....

Letters for Santa
by Michele K. Henderson

Hello Friends,

Did you get your letter in to Santa? Christmas is only DAYS away, but Santa is still reading those joyful letters filled with holiday spirit and cheer. The new Large Stitched Envelope & Postage is the perfect way to send Santa a little love. Take a look!

I started with a beautiful pattern sheet of paper from the Garland paper pack. The dark background color and the cascade of wintery flowers really made my shiny white envelope pop. I added a shiny glitter gold frame, and cut three flowers from the Layered Petals. I cut three branches Leafy Branch Oval and added the berries from the Layered Holly Leaf Trio.

I added a shiny green Layered Holly Branch, and a few branches from the Nordic Foxes too! Tiny blue and white Flock of Birds sit joyfully on the leaves.Finish it off with a few Fairy Crystals and Gemstones and send it off to Santa!

From all of us to all of you, cheers for a happy and healthy holiday season!

PSC#111 Challenge Reminder - Cool Yule!
by Sphoorti

Hello Poppy Peeps!

It's Sphoorti with a gentle reminder of this month's challenge - PSC#111 - Cool Yule! The holidays are officially here! Outside you'll find displays and outdoor decorations, and inside everything is comfy cozy! All of us at Poppystamps are wishing you a Cool Yule and want to see how you celebrate and create for the holidays. Happiness is home made after all! Are you adding home made tags to your gifts and baked goods? Maybe you're making some extra special cards for friends and family. We'd love to see what you're up to!

Projects can be for any occasion, and you're not limited to making cards. We welcome home décor, page layouts, tags and everything in between! It's your choice, just be sure to use at least one Poppystamps die on your project! You must use a Poppystamps product to be eligible to win!

This was my take on the challenge, and such a quick and easy one - you can totally mass produce this for the holidays! Hope you like it!

I cut a panel of white card stock using the 2574 Scandinavian Snowflake Plate craft die. I took some perfect pearls in the gold and perfect pearl color and made a solution out of them with water and sprinkled it all over the panel. Honestly, you don't even need to do this - the die is SO beautiful, it can be used fully clean and still make a huge impact. I just love the extra sparkle and shine.

I cut out a panel of glitter card stock from the GP1006 Festive Glitter Pad and adhered it behind the 2574 Scandinavian Snowflake Plate craft die cut panel.

Using some silver mirror cardstock from the FP1003 Rainbow Reflections Mirror Pad 6x6 pack, I die cut the innermost scalloped frame from the 2474 Double Scalloped Stitched Frames craft die. I took a piece of vellum and adhered it to the back of the frame.

Then I used the 2475 Small Freestyle Merry Christmas craft die to cut a few merry die cuts out of white card stock. I adhered them all together for dimension and the chip-board like feel. I topped the layered merry with another merry that I cut out of the same glitter card stock I used behind the 2574 Scandinavian Snowflake Plate craft die cut panel from the GP1006 Festive Glitter Pad. I absolutely LOVE this color, don't you?!

And actually, that was it! So easy-peasy!

Now it's your turn to take on the Cool Yule challenge! Need a little more motivation? How about a prize? The winner (chosen at random) of this challenge will receive a $20 Gift Certificate to spend on their favorites from the store! Remember - projects can be for any occasion, and you're not limited to making cards. We welcome home décor, page layouts, tags and everything in between! It's your choice, just be sure to use at least one Poppystamps die on your project!

Cathedral Christmas Shaker
by Michele K. Henderson

Hello Friends,

Today I am sharing a popular card technique I never get tired of seeing, Shaker Cards! I used the beautiful new Arched Gothic Cathedral Window to create a very intricate looking window with dazzling sequins inside. Take a look!

I started with a crisp white hard card stock base, as I usually do with most of the cards I create. They survive very well in the mail with only a thin protector piece on top if I'm using a lot of intricate embellishments. Then I cut a background panel out of a memory Box Paper Pack, PP 1024, Pointsettia Garland. I love the delicate pink and gold embossing on this paper. Poinsettias always remind me of services during the holiday season.

I cut the Arched Gothic Cathedral Window in a shiny blue foil for the background die. The Arched Gothic Cathedral Window has two dies, which creates a pretty dimension to the window. I cut the first top piece in a hard card stock white, then cut the window piece again in craft foam, and stacked it all together. Now it's ready to start loading the sequins in the window sections.

I cut the top piece in a pretty paper of white and gold foil marble. In the photo, the gold looks a little dark, but in person, it's pretty and shiny, and very elegant. I added the clear acetate panel for the window, and then finished it with the top marble paper. My little sequins, on shades of blue, pink, turquoise, and a few stars, have a lot of room to move around and make that wonderful shaker sound.

I cut the Flock of Birds in white and the shiny blue foil paper, although in this photo they seem to have more of a purple tint, which looks nice with the Poinsettia Garland paper. These tiny birds are so unique they look great in every color!

Thank you so much for joining today!

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays
by Tricia Barber

Hello!  I am sharing a pastel pink and aqua Christmas card.   I used the Wide Pine Needles Shoots die for my focal image. I mixed white and glitter white cardstock from the Glitzy Glitter pad. I added a tree topper using the Flock of Birds die colored with a Copic marker with a light aqua wash.  To add some sparkle I added some aqua jewels from the Bright Jewels pack.

I added my tree to a snowglobe created with the Simple Rings Die along with the Snowglobe bases craft die.   The base was cut from the Vintage Pastel Mirror pack.   I layered this onto a kraft panel cut with the Scandinavian Snowflake Plate.   This was then layered onto a kraft card base.

The sentiment is from the Christmas Banners clear stamp and die.  Thank you for stopping by!

Gleeful Snow Globe
by Jyoti Adhikari

Hi this is Jyoti here today. A warm wintery welcome to all fellow crafters. Today we are diving into the joyous world of Christmas crafting with Poppy Stamps' latest release as we  craft a whimsical snow globe card. Using three enchanting products from our new collection, we'll bring a winter wonderland to life with glittering trees, a charming scene, and festive details.

Nordic Elegance: Glittering Trees

Our winter scene begins with the Nordic Whimsy Trees Craft Die and Nordic Tree Toppers Craft Die. With silver and green glitter card-stock from Glitzy Glitter Pack we fashion majestic trees. The foreground boasts two towering trees created with alternating colors of silver white and green card-stocks while the background is adorned with two smaller green ones.

Winter Wonderland: The Snow Globe Assembly

I meticulously brought these glistening trees to life within the confines of a snow globe. Using the Simple Rings Craft Die, I cut a background which is the sky, blending hues to perfection and splattering delicate snowflakes in white. The magic intensified as I delicately crafted an acetate globe, with a white ring of border around it. Layer by layer, the enchanting landscape materialized—first the background, then the glittering trees, followed by a snow bank, and on top goes the acetate globe. Then finally the snowglobe base created with the Snowglobe Bases Craft Die was added with a foam tape to complete the whole snow globe. With each element strategically placed, a mesmerizing winter spectacle emerged.

Plaid Perfection: The Background

The stage is set with a backdrop of plaid perfection, using a piece from the pretty pattern paper from Poinsettia Plaid Paper Pack. This pattern paper enhances the festive charm, creating a delightful contrast against the glittering trees and snowy globe.

Winter Greetings: Heat Embossed Sentiments

No Christmas card is complete without heartfelt sentiments. We stamp and emboss a "winter greetings" using the Christmas Banners Clear Stamp Set on the snow globe stand. The sentiment is embossed in white, adding a touch of elegance. To complete the card, shimmering stars cut from silver cardstock embellish our creation, adding a final flourish of festive magic.

This delightful Christmas card is a testament to the joy of crafting with Poppy Stamps. Join us in creating a whimsical winter scene that will enchant and delight anyone lucky enough to receive it. Happy crafting!!
