by Meghan Kennihan

Final_3 (2)

Hi Crafty Friends,
I hope this card inspires you to plant some fresh herbs and embrace your green thumb. I used Poppy Stamps Flower Pots and Stems to create these cute little herb pots.

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: Do you grow herbs? Which ones?
A: Me? No, but my sister grows a ton of basil and rosemary

Final_5 (2)
I started my card by creating the background using Poppy Stamps Criss Cross Heart Stencil with Distress Oxide Mowed Lawn Ink and splattered with green and white paint.
Final_5 (2)

I mounted the Poppy Stamps Scalloped Stitched Frames in two different shades of green cardstock and then mounted the entire background on a kraft cardstock card base.
Final_5 (2)I layered the cute flower pots with just the leaf dies to look like herbs in the center of my card and finished with the darling sentiments from the Poppy Stamps Spring Banner Stamps & Dies.

Sunrise Butterflies
by Meghan Kennihan

Final_8 (2)Hi Crafty Friends,
Spring is on it's way and hopefully that means beautiful butterflies everywhere (however, since I'm in the Midwest it's probably going to be more cicadas than butterflies BOO!). This orange delight features Poppy Stamps Nordic Fanfare Butterfly and Nordic Lacey Plate.

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: Are you getting the 17 year or 13 year cicadas this year?
A: Me? YES! We are supposed to be where they overlap so TRILLIONS

Final_1 (3)I started my card by by putting together the butterflies. I layered three different shades of orange from the Sunrise 6x6 Paper Pad for the main Nordic Fanfare Butterfly and then two layers for the small butterflies.  Next, I mounted the Nordic Lacey Plate on a light shade of orange and framed it on glitter paper from the Poppy Stamps Majestic Hues 6x6 Paper Pad. Finally, I add the Thinking of You Banner Sentiment from the Sentimental Banners Stamp & Die Set.
