Split Birthday Wishes
by Marybeth Lopez

Hi there! Marybeth Lopez here, with a Flower Challenge Reminder! All you need to do is make a card with a flower , one random winner will win a $20 certificate to the Poppystamps store. I used this beautiful Peony Bouquet clear stamp from Poppystamps .

I could have stamped my flower then split it, I think next time that's what I will do so I don't lose any of the flower. I did it the way its pictured above then removed the tape . I forgot to take the picture, so this one is stamped already.

I split the stamped image and added foam tape to the back .

I heat embossed my image and watercolored it in with Zig pens. After stamping the Birthday wish I then adhered the two cut panels to my card base.

Because the panels are raised you can add embellishments  without causing a bump to you card . Easy mailing with the bump flush within the card.

Hope to see you play along for a chance to win!  Had a hard time with pictures due to the very cloudy day when I took these, sorry!

Hope you have a great week!

Garden Rabbit
by Marybeth Lopez

Hello and happy March to you all! Marybeth here today with a sweet Whittle Cutie Rabbit, from Poppystamps . This was a really easy card to make because the background  was basically already created because I used the : Cottage Meadow patterned paper . I cut it down to 5 1/4 by 4 then added foam to the back.

I wanted to shade my rabbit but you could just use colored card stock if you wanted to. The first one was a little darker than I wanted so I made a second one just a bit lighter. I glued three rabbits together so the rabbit would be prominent on the card.

I cut some grass using the Poppystamps Hill and Valley Grass Border, then shaded it in . I cut it down to the same size as the panel .

I love this Point Picket Double Gate its two pieces and it fits the panel perfectly!!!! Love that ! I also added two layers to the Grosgrain Bow.

I added some foam ( pictured above) to the grass, because it was the perfect size but you can cut your own, if you want. I wanted the grass raised so it looks like the rabbit is sitting ing the grass with flowers.

The sentiment is from Birch Press Design : Blooming Spring.

TIP :I recommend stamping your sentiment before adding the foam to the back, it was a little thick in the MISTI because I forgot to take out the foam

Thank you so much for the visit today ! Poppystamps has so many new products in the new Spring line, this is just a tiny sampling of all the amazing new goodies. Happy Shopping!

Birthday Money Envelopes
by Marybeth Lopez

Hello! Marybeth here this weekend sharing an easy card to make with Poppystamp's Stitched Envelope craft die. The sentiment is also from Poppystamps: Peony Bouquet stamps set.

I used white cardstock and then blended Distress Oxide ink . I used heavyweight 110 lb. cardstock. for the envelopes but next time I will use one not so heavy, because it won't be as bulky once the money is tucked in. No need for such heavyweight anyway. I found because of the oxide inks glue didn't adhere as well so I used very thin score tape. If you choose to just used colored paper no worry , you can use glue or tape.

I folded the money and used a bone folder to help make it flatter. You can fold it, in a way that shows the amount but I had random amounts for the photo so I didn't chose to show the amount.

I am not sure why the photo above is so faded and bright, on my phone and computer it's not. Sorry about that.

This card will most likely go to my grandson, born on Leap year. Since this is a leap year and he is 16, he gets one envelope filled with money for each real birthday. Sometimes he says this will be his 4th birthday :)

Thank you for the visit today and I hope you have a wonderful week filled with many blessing.

Love and Hearts
by Marybeth Lopez

Hi there, Marybeth here today with a Pink Valentine card. I used Poppystamps Love die , the beautiful memory box 3D embossing folder, ( love this folder and I use it on many envelopes too! I also used some leftover hearts from one of my other cards , using the Banded Heart die and the tiny hearts are from the Heartscape Hill die.

Jumping ahead, this card shows how I added shimmer ink all over the hearts and panel. You might see I stamped the heart on the O and then decided not to add anything to it, I covered it up with another layer of heart.

I used all white paper for my card, all color comes from ink blending . I used the lighter pink for the large layer and the darker pink for the letters that go on top.

Above is my card base, I wanted it to match the color die cuts, so I ink blended the outer edges only ( center won't show). I then placed the embossed panel on top of this base.

I added a few drop of my favorite glue to adhere the top layer of the dies to the large outline.  I love these two soft pinks together! Don't you just love the LOVE outline die!!!

I simply embossed my panel using the 3D folder then added all the beautiful Poppystamps dies .See how the panel looks like colored cardstock! Just ink blended around the edges.

I think this will be a St. Valentine card but it could be used for many occasions. The card above this one shows more of how pretty the shimmer is. Thank you for the visit today , I hope you are enjoying a beautiful week .

God bless you .

Sending Hugs and Kisses
by Marybeth Lopez

Hello and Happy Weekend to you all! Marybeth here today with a card sending Hugs and Kisses ( this will go to on of my granddaughters ) I used the new Poppystamps Floral Lace Heart Split Border craft die along with Poppystamps  Valentine's Fun clear stamp.

I blended ink just behind the heart, I kinda made a mask with the negative of this die , as you can see on the right side of the heart. When taken away, the only blended ink will be under the delicate heart, simply done with out making a mask. On the left side you don't have to worry because it will be covered up with the Floral Lace Heart Split Border

See above, when the negative of the die is taken away all you see is the original watercolored panel.

I love this 3D Embossing Folder from memory box called :Heart Bouquet EF1006 Heart Bouquet  . It's so easy to use ... place envelope in folder on top of one plate and run it through your die machine.

After I was almost done with my card I decided to add two more layers to the top of my card, for more dimension.

You cant really see in the photo but I also went over the lacy part of the heart and used a shimmer pen.

I layered two sentiments on top of each other to create this , I wanted it to fill up the lower portion of the panel.

Thanks for the visit to day and God bless you.

Blog Blitz Continues
by Marybeth Lopez

Happy New Year friends of Poppystamps and more! Welcome to the Poppystamps Blog Blitz , where you have a chance to win this : Banded Hearts craft die just by leaving a comment here on this post.

I cut many layers in quite a few colors to see what I wanted to use.

I wanted to show you the fun leftovers of this die great for confetti and for shaker cards.

It's very simple to add a few dots on the back of the die to adhere to the base of your card.

I layered my card base with a few colors adhered just a bit down from the layer before.

I think this would be beautiful in all white as well for an anniversary card etc.

The card above it the one that I layered three times , then added some Martha Stewart glitter to the centers. So many options for this beautiful Poppystamps die. The sentiment is from  Memory box : Valentine Fun CL489  I used the same stamp set for both cards.

This card above it a bit more simple and so easy to make. One layer with a simple envelope using Poppystamps :Stitched Envelope craft die. I cut a piece of paper to fit inside then stamped the Hugs sentiments using Memory box clear stamp called: Valentine Fun Cl489

Here is a photo showing both side by side. Don't forget , all you have to do is leave a comment on this post for a chance to win Poppystamps Banded Hearts craft die.

Noel by
by Marybeth Lopez

Hello! Are you all ready for Christmas.... Not me!!!  I think I will have most of my cards mailed by the time this post. I really needed a few more flat cards to mail , so I created this one using Poppystamps beautiful Festive Noel craft die.

I had a hard deciding whether I wanted all white Noel or all red. I cut a few of the Noel die and played around with it. I thought I wanted all white but because of the stripes I felt like it needed the red to help ground it.

It didn't take up much time to decide so still a fast card to get out before Christmas. Next year I have to make more cards that don't take up extra postage, this one will be perfect. I added some Glossy Accents to the red berries for a bit of extra dimension.

I love using this memory box patterned paper . As you can see above this one die packs a bunch all into one.

This is what I stamped on the inside of most of my cards.  I combined the stamps from Christmas Time I love the simple elegant way it fills the inside with a beautiful message.

I wanted to thank you all for your comments so often on my/our post, your kindness is heartwarming and I thank you.

Thank you so much for the visit today. I hope you all have a beautiful Christmas ( if you celebrate) and a Peaceful New Year.  God Bless.

A Child is Born
by Marybeth Lopez

Hi there ! Marybeth here today with an ink blended Christmas card from Poppystamps and using a Merry Christmas stencil from Memory box . The Stencil is called: Christmas Cursive Merry. I thought is was from last year but I was wrong sorry it's from 2014  #88578 You can make this card using any Christmas stencil you have .

I sprayed the back side of my stencil with : Pixie Spray I think I bought mine on Amazon but many places sell it. I started out ink blending with Candied Apple and wanted a deeper red.

I went over my stencil a second time using : Festive Berries

Then one last time did the trick using Ruby red. I love that you can add to the card base with any color. This stencil is very detailed and so easy to do with a blending brush as pictured above. Now the fun part......

Taking the stencil off! Without the spray to hold such a detailed stencil in place , it would be hard to have such a clean white image , I love how this turned out. I couldn't decide what color to frame my sentiment ( using the snow globe ) so the frame is cut 3 times and glued together. Then I added a bit of glue to add my two layer dove and olive branch .

My new and very favorite craft glue is : Art Glitter Adhesive.... It comes with a stainless tip and pin to keep the adhesive flowing freely and the tip is so fine . I love how precise this glue is. Many places sell that too , pretty sure I bought mine on amazon . No glitter in it it's just what it called.  I will share a picture of it on my blog. Here

I used the Snowglobe ,Christmas Time Stamps and Dove and Olive Branch from Poppystamps the patterned paper around the frame is from memory box Dashing Stripes and Dots.

Thank you so much for the visit today.  Hope I have inspired you in some small way and I hope you have a beautiful weekend.
