I only wanted to use two colors , red and green ( well.. white too). I love the shimmer of this card in person. It's clean and simple ( once you know what you are making:) Easy to mass produce.

Happy October to you all. Marybeth Lopez  here today, sharing a few new Poppystamps dies. These are Christmas dies turned into Halloween cards. I used Poppystamps new die called Snowman and Trees along with Layered House Globe all linked below.

I also used some of the new memory box Glitzy Glitter Pad and last years Halloween Ingredients set for the sentiment.

I cut out a few layers in each color so I could decide what color I wanted to use. I used the purple as the base of the house then layered the black glitter on top. I used the Earth Neutral paper pack for the door and roof.

Friendly Monsters
by Marybeth Lopez

6D76351D-5A52-4AB0-B40C-D23A6FAE2D31_1_201_a

Hello , Marybeth Lopez  here again today with some friendly monsters.  I jumped right into Halloween but still need to make fall cards. The monsters are all from Poppystamps : Whittle Monsters that you can add and change up a bit to your very own liking.

I had to add a bit of glitter to my monsters. I did keep it all blacks and whites but lots of different textures for the details.

In the picture above you can see I used the Wrapped Stitch Rectangles (negative space) for my cut out on this panel.  It made the perfect window to have all five of the Whittle Monsters fit on the front panel.

I raised the panel with foam tape so the monsters could fit inside the panel and not add too much bulk to my card.

I love the way this turned out, hope you do too. The background  panel is watercolor cardstock from Hobby Lobby .

I hope you have a wonderful week full of blessings. Have fun crafting.

I chose to use one of my favorite Poppystamps dies called Intricate Leaf Square Frame along with the Poppystamps ,Pinpoint Half Ring Plate.

I used this Beautiful Washi tape: Sunset Blush and put across the panel then place the die on top and cut the die. I love the detailed results .

Fall Hugs
by Marybeth Lopez

88FD8A9A-CA97-4B0B-A11D-809037F11E71_1_201_a

Hello , Marybeth Lopez  here today with a fall-ish hug card, using Poppystamps dies, and memory box papers.

8E8BAC71-C7E8-4E67-B824-317CE57FEB43_1_201_a

As you will see ,  pictured below I couldn't make up my mind on what colors I wanted to use.  I changed them as I went along and even glued on top of a color I did want. The different layers give lots of dimension in person.

EE5EAD65-B262-4C6E-897D-62A2C73BAB64_1_201_a

I ended up not using any of the yellow or orange. I glued everything on my watercolor cardstock .

The leaves are from , Maple Symphony and the hug is called Luscious Script Hugs.

DED9268C-FD27-4D31-9A0A-ED97D6859BE3_1_201_a

I used the plaid with gold,  patterned paper again called Madras Plaid Coral and Green all listed and linked below.

I placed the card on top of this mug / rug/ coaster that I made because the colors went well together.

I used the word ( Hugs) because this will post the day before  911  anniversary 20 years ago. I felt many might need a paper hug.

God bless and keep you all. Hope you get some crafty time in this weekend.

PSC#84 Wonderful Washi!   Washi tape is a decorative masking tape traditionally made of rice paper.  It comes in lots of different patterns and sizes for a host of creative ideas.  It's a great way to add a little color and interest to your designs and once you get started using it there's no going back!    Washi can be used to create a fun patterned background, you can stick it to paper and cut out the printed images or die cut your own.     The challenge is not limited to cards - we'd love to see your page layouts, home decor, tags, and mixed media.   It's your choice, just be sure to use at least one Poppystamps image (stamp or die) on your project!

Need a little inspiration?  Here are some samples from our design team.  Want a closer look?   No worries.. we'll be featuring these projects on Wednesdays throughout the month, so you can see how each project was created.

We're trying something new this month !  We've asked a guest designer to join us to share even more creative ways to use your dies.  Please welcome our very first guest, Tenia Nelson.  When the Wonderful Washi Challenge was announced I knew she was the perfect choice because I consider her the Washi Queen.  I don't think I have ever seen a creation from her that didn't include a bit of washi tape - I consider it her trademark!
