Fullsizeoutput_10fe

Happy Monday to you!  Marybeth  here today sharing another card using some more of my extra alcohol blended ink papers I made . I used Poppystamps : Luscious Script Sending , Hugs and Picnic Plaid.

If you would like to see  how you can make your own , Jennifer McGuire shares a how to video .

This is the picture I have of all the first time tries with alcohol inks. I wasn't real pleased with them at first but so glad I kept them for smaller details and backgrounds.

IMG_1491

I  place the die, cut side down on the paper then run it through my cutting machine, then layered  on the larger background.

IMG_1513

Each die comes with the top and larger background die .

The  inside of my card  says "YOU" to finish off the front sentiment ( I forgot to take the picture). It is also from Poppystamps: Picnic Plaid Clear Stamp set.

This card is a bit bigger than A2, it measures  6 x 4 1/4 .

I hope you have a wonderful week! Hugs

Hello Cupcake
by Marybeth Lopez

IMG_1441

Hello sweet friends ! Happy June to you all!

I would like to say this was a simple card to make ( It should have been) but I had many mishaps along the way. I kept going and I am happy with the results in the end.

I used Poppystamps :Whittle Cupcake die,  Luscious Script Hello and Flower Garden Clear stamp.

IMG_1430

One thing that was easy was using some scraps of alcohol ink papers I made, that I saved. I die cut twice for the colors then just layered the extra pieces on top of the other, to firm it up a bit.

IMG_1428

Below are some of my first try alcohol ink papers, didn't really know what I was doing. I  used all kinds of paper, even photo paper because its what I had.  I saved them anyway and glad I did because they work great for dies.

For a little extra detail on my panel I scored it all the way around 1/2 inch.

One of the mishaps at the end was getting a tiny bit of ink on my hand that then ended up on the panel, I was able to use an ink eraser to get it off.

It was late in the day an I didn't have the best lighting for my photo.

I also used some of the leftover papers as shown above for the top layer of the hello then stamped with the sentiment from Flower Garden. I used the cupcake to represent sweet friend. I couldn't resist adding a bit of chunky glitter to the top of the cupcake.

I hope you enjoy your weekend. Hugs to you all!

Sympathy Card
by Marybeth Lopez

IMG_1211 2

Hello! Marybeth here today with a feminine sympathy card, using :Poppystamps clear stamps and dies.

I tried not to make it too busy  but wanted to add more than just the background  .

IMG_1184

I stamped the background with: Flower Garden and used : Tim Holtz distressed oxide inks. First I stamped lightly with the ink pad then blended the inks so it would not have any harsh lines.

IMG_1185

I kept doing it till I was happy with the results. I am using the MISTI Stamping tool.

The sentiment comes with the background  stamp set: Flower Garden, all linked below.

IMG_1186

I die cute the Garden Poppy Sidekick Frame a few times so I would have a few flowers to put around the :Whittle Hearts.

I randomly cut them apart then sanded with a sanding block to smooth the edges, then tucked them around the heart.

Mother's Day
by Marybeth Lopez

IMG_0969

Hi there friends of Poppystamps! Marybeth here today, with this square Mother's Day card made for one of my daughters , she has three girls . They also have a family of ducks raised in their back yard /pool for the last few years. I thought this sweet little Poppystamps Whittle Duck Die would make a sweet little note card for her gift.

IMG_0912

I stamped the center of the Whittle Wood  Frame with Picnic Plaid both from Poppystamps

IMG_0974

The frame is cut three times and glued together , I also cut and glued the mother duck three times.  I stamped the sentiment from Picnic Plaid .

IMG_0979

The Picnic Plaid has quite a few sentiments to choose from that go well with: Thank You

IMG_0981

The inside of the card finishes the front sentiment with a thank you! ( I know a bit backwards but it works for me)

It was about how the front of the card would look :)

IMG_0954 Watermark copy

This is a simple card with layered detail and subtle colors. I hope all the mothers have a wonderful Mother's Day! I am blessed to still have my mother with me. God bless all mother's everywhere.

Hello
by Marybeth Lopez

IMG_0886

Hello from this just hatched happy chick! I made this simple little interactive card using : Chick and Egg, and Luscious Script Hello dies from Poppystamps spring line. The little chick is on a mini wobbler that makes him move when you pull down or to the side of it. The chick is in movement it the photo above.

IMG_0646

I had some leftover alcohol ink blended papers from another project. You can go to Jennifer McGuire to learn how to create your own.

IMG_0648

I cut the top layer of the hello in white and adhered to the colorful background . Since I was going to add the white chick and egg to this background  I lightly blended some blue ink so they would show up better.

IMG_0653

I added this mini wobbler to the back of the chick so it would move when touched. It kinda makes him look even happier to be just hatched saying " HELLO"! I cute the shell out twice so I would have a top and bottom.

IMG_0656

I decided to lightly add some yellow on the chick. When you use a brush it's a much softer look.

The panel is watercolor cardstock to even a bit more movement . I hope you all have a Happy Easter and wonderful Spring!

Thank you for the visit today...happy shopping!

Flower Garden
by Marybeth Lopez

Fullsizeoutput_10b1

Hi there! Hope you off to a great start for April! I am using the new Flower Garden stamp set from Poppystamps . It's a full large stamp with lots of sentiments.  I stamped the background  in a soft pink .

IMG_0558

I also used the Greenhouse Potted Plants Sidekick Frame and Stencil , also from Poppystamps ! I placed the stencil over my die cut front panel then sponged with the same color as the background flowers. I made it a bit darker by going over it a few times.

IMG_0565

IMG_0576

I cut a few greens from the Poppystamps die Spring Pots Shelves. I didn't want the card too busy ,as I already have a lot going on with the background . I just added some greens to one pot, I sniped the greens off the pots and put them all into one.

Card With Matching Envelope Liner
by Marybeth Lopez

IMG_0284

Hello sweet friends, I hope you are all happy and well!  Marybeth  here today sharing this card and matching envelope liner I created with :Poppystamps Large Clear Stamp Picnic Plaid.

Fullsizeoutput_109f

The liner was easy to make I cut the paper about 6 X 5 1/4  (  the size  of your envelope ) then stamped using Picnic Plaid. You don't have to worry too much about  stamping the part that wont show below the flap, just make sure the upper part is stamped nicely.

IMG_0223

I then scored the upper part about 1 3/4 of an inch to match the fold of my envelope .  I  placed inside the envelope and only glued the top flap, then folded the envelope onto the glued liner matching up the fold lines as below.

IMG_0224

IMG_0293

The Whittle Rabbit and Luscious Scrip Hello are all layered a few times and stamped with the sentiment from Garden Blooms.

I am loving these large stamps with so many choices of sentiments. I also love the new script word dies  all from Poppystamps .

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Beautiful Love Die and Alcohol Inks
by Marybeth Lopez

IMG_9478

Hello and Happy February to you all! I have a new technique ( For Me) that I am using today. I recently learned about Alcohol Ink watching a video

by .  Jennifer McGuire I highly recommend you visit her blog and the link I gave you to see how to do this. It was so new to me that I forgot to take pictures as I was making the papers.

All the dies I used are from Poppystamps : Whittle Mouse, Simple Thinking of  You and the beautiful Seed Love Collage I layered the Love die twice for a bit more dimension.

Download-1

Above and below is a picture of one of the papers I created using Alcohol inks, each one will be  different, just play with it. I ended up adding alcohol to my glass work surface , I had lots of leftover ink on the glass . I turned my Yupo paper( the ink moves around on this paper) over and placed it on the drips from the first paper with ink, that's  how I ended up with a very soft look to my card and no wasted inks.

IMG_9558

If you are interested in learning please go to the pro.... Jennifer McGuire.... Linked for you above. It's way more fun that I thought but it is a bit messy.

I sure had fun making the background of this card and I love the added gold shimmer.  Poppystamps dies toped this card oh so many choices to make, I wanted to keep the dies white so they would stand out on the inked paper.

Thank you for the visit today . I hope you have a crafty day my friends.

Hello and welcome to the Poppystamps Blog Blitz!  You have a chance to with the Pinpoint Hearts from Poppystamps just by leaving a comment on this post. I love the 4 line pinpoint dots that from the heart on this craft die .

IMG_8973

I was going to use the embossed hearts altogether at first but later chanced my mind. If you want to give it a try don't cut them apart right away.

IMG_9084

I used the Pinpoint die to make the dotted heart then cut a few layers and colors for the center heart,, from Deco Shining Heart. The top pink heart has some fun foam on the back to pop it up.

I then cut the Happy Valentine's Day with the new Poppystamps Doodle craft die, all listed and linked below.
