Hello , Marybeth Lopez  here with you, again today. Yesterday was a Halloween card. I am sharing some of the brand new Poppystamps Holiday products.

Today I have this sweet :Nordic Deer card. The Nordic Deer die set has so much in one set. I also used one of the birds from the : Flock of Birds set. The deer is darling all by itself but decided to use one of the new Simple Rings die so that I could add just a bit of background  .

F618A652-DECB-4887-9586-427D94F2C766_1_201_a

I love the woodgrain cardstock , gives it just a bit of texture and feels a bit woodsy.

Not the best picture but this is how you line up the second set of legs.  I wanted to show you the back side of the die cut. Just match up the belly and front of the deer , it also helps to look at the picture of the package. When matching up the sweater just look at the placement of the one sleeve. Simple.

The greenery is also part of the Nordic Deer set. The woodgrain panel is from memory box . Most of the brown cardstock is from memory box Earth Neutral 6X6 cardstock.Using the East Neutral set helped with the browns blending together.

I didn't add a sentiment to the outside this time. I will add it to the inside. I didn't want take away from the simple screen.

Thank you for stopping by.  So many cute new Christmas , Holiday products.

God bless you.

Hello , Marybeth Lopez  with you today. I created this fun little card with friendly ghost floating by, even the " Boo" looks friendly.

I used Poppystamps : Halloween Assemblage,Whittle Scary Guys ( not :), Boo Poe Script and Autumn Fairy Jewels. All linked below.

I found this striped piece of vellum, it seemed just perfect for some light and airy ghost floating around on the card.

These Poppystamps ghost are just too cute ! At first I just had the 3 larger ghost then decided to add the two smaller Whittle Scary Ghost and love the way they added so much to the card. I love using the Autumn Fairy Jewels for the eyes , it couldn't be any easier. Just plop on. I used the same size on the small and large ghost.

I cut the boo out twice and layered it. Since it is so fragile I used spray adhesive to adhere together. You can still take your time and use glue. I have a small box I keep my spray in and I use that whenever I need to spray the adhesive to my intricate die cuts.

Thank you for the visit today friends. I hope you can find some time to enjoy some crafty time and relax.

I hope you have a blessed rest of September.

Scary Home

Hello, Marybeth Lopez  , here with you today. I can't believe Halloween will be here before we know it. I thought it might me a good idea to get started on creating some Halloween cards. I used some of the new Poppystamps Halloween dies: Neighborhood Home Pop Up Easel Set and Whittle Scary Guys ( they are sooo cute.

8B7DDB93-D165-463E-9157-B1AF3DCAD0BD_1_201_a

I layered the roof with four layers of cardstock, same for the porch  and roof. The pumpkins and ghost are adhered with foam tape. I place a piece of tape on the back  of the pumpkins and ghost so that the eyes , nose and mouth stay in place. It also helps if they fall out with the tape in back you can just place them back on to the face because the sticky side is facing up.

AFC622AD-F4B9-4665-AF06-9AC1E21A72E9

I used memory box :Rainbow Reflections Mirror Pad FP1003 for the accents , (top layers of the roof, windows and door.)

C4712D38-BACB-4107-8CE1-6FEBBA6D566E_1_201_a

I didn't want to add too many  different colors because  of all the detail. I kept my colors to shades of black , white and orange.

46A4A3D5-96FE-4B33-85F1-2AD3616C1CBF_1_201_a

I cut two leaves out, I used blending brushes with Ranger Distress Oxide ink. ( Peeled Paint) to get the color on the leaves.

I layered the two leaves just a bit off set.

86F23B6D-93F4-40C7-A85C-DAF39211208E_1_201_a

I adhered my sentiment with foam tape.  Lots of details  and it's  still a very  clean and simple card with lots of white space.

Meet our August guest, Karen Downs who was selected by design team member Janet Katz.  I noticed Karen's Instagram page a few months ago and was super impressed with her knack for combining color and die cuts with clean and simple design. Add to this her expertise in using solid color cardstock and vellum

I have been a crafter in some form since childhood and making cards as long as I can remember. I love to make Clean and Simple cards and definitely love to make rainbow cards or at least incorporate rainbows when I can. They make me happy!
