Love U
by Rachel Duong

Hi! It's Rachel here sharing a Valentine card using the beautiful Poppystamps "Nordic Fancy Blossoms" and the "Scallop Pinpoint Hearts".  Soft pinks, sage and mustards may seem like an unlikely palette but it's fun to try something new and change up the traditional colors. This card creation is a little bit delicate and a little bit vintage with a whole lot of flair!

To create this card, I began with "Nordic Fancy Blossoms" and chose 3 shades of yellows from the Memory Box "Sunny Orange Collection" cardstock pack. Next I cut the stems from the Memory Box "Lush Green" collection. I used the green to diecut letters L,V, E and U from the "Marzipan Alphabet" set. I die cut the "Scallop Pinpoint Hearts" and the L, V and E letters with the Memory Box "Berry Red" and the "Vibrant Violet" collections paper pack.

As I combined the petals, I decided I wanted to add some glitter to give it some extra pizazz. I grabbed the Memory Box "Delicate Pastel Glitter Pad" shimmering cardstock and die cut the middle layers of the blossoms.

IMG_3946

I also die cut the border of the smaller heart and the "U" in the same pink glitter cardstock.

I found the perfect patterned paper for the background from the  Memory Box "Poinsettia Garland" paper pad.  It's a Christmas release but there are many papers that can be used for other occasions.

I love the gold foil paired with the glitter, awesome!

Arranging the pieces together, finding just the right design, I adhered it to the floral background and then onto a pale pink cardstock base.

Love Birds
by Birgit Noton

Nordic Birds3

Hello and happy new year to you and your family!  I hope you're staying well and finding time to make beautiful things.

Birgit here with you today with an anniversary card featuring some of the newest products available in the store right now.

Nordic Birds

My card is an anniversary card but it could also be used for Valentine's day, which is right around the corner.  I started by cutting the largest of the  Scallop Pinpoint Hearts out of white cardstock.  I brushed on just a bit of Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink around the edges.

Nordic Birds2

I cut the Nordic Bird Bunch out of white cardstock as well and colored them using Copic Markers.  I wanted a mottled look so after coloring each piece with the darkest color, I went over it again with the lightest tone, which leaves this natural mottled look.

Nordic Birds5

I assembled the heart and birds using liquid glue and adhered them over a panel of paper from the Anemone Grove 6x6 paper pad.  The colors and designs in this paper pad are so beautiful!  To finish the card, I stamped a sentiment from the Christmas Banners and die cut it using the coordinating banner die.  Even though this is labeled as a Christmas set, some of the sentiments can be used for other occasions.  I stamped the inside of the card with the words "Wishing you both a Happy Anniversary".  I think it works perfectly for an anniversary card!

Nordic Birds4

Thanks so much for visiting today!  I hope I've inspired you to look at your stamps and dies in new and creative ways.

Sending Valentine Hugs by Tricia Barber

IMG_3983 (1)

Hello!  Tricia here with you today to share a quick and easy Valentine's Day card using the new Scallop Pinpoint Hearts from the latest release.   I love any kind of heart die because they are so versatile and you can use them all year long!  I started by trimming some patterned paper from the Poinsettia Plaid paper pack from Memory Box to be my main card panel.   I die cut a white frame using the Scalloped Stitch Frames and adhere directly to the panel.

IMG_3984 (1)

For my focal point on the card, I paired the Scallop Pinpoint Hearts with the Large Stitched Envelope die.   I created the envelope and adhered it directly to the panel.  I then die cut the hearts from pink, hot pink and white cardstock.  The smaller heart was popped up with foam tape.   I love that with this heart die gives you both the scallops and the heart die cut out.  This allows for so much more versatility with the dies.

IMG_3984 (1)

To finish this off, I added a sentiment that was hot foiled with gold foil and die cut with the Modest Banner Greeting Foil and Cut set.   I added some gold jewels  from the Christmas Fairy Jewels set.  The sentiment banner up was added with some foam tape.  So simple but very sweet!   Hope you have a great day!

Hello Poppy Peeps!

Remember the card I made a few weeks ago? The Delicate Lace Card using the Nordic Border die set? Well, as usual - since I had the supplies out already, I cut out a lot more than I actually needed. And I figured, since these have the wedding vibe, why not make a wedding card? So, here I am with two wedding easel cards using the lacy goodness from the Nordic Border die set!

The prep work for this was pretty much the exact same as the Delicate Lace Card. The only difference is, once I had a panel with a number of rows of the border die cuts, I ran them through the die cutting machine again using the top tier and bottom tier cake dies from the 2469 Floral Cake Pop Up Easel craft die. The panel I had was very long enough for me to squeeze two top tiers and one bottom tier, so I figured I'd make two cake cards. I used some pattern paper with flock on it for the bottom tier of the gold cake card.

I couldn't make up my mind on the gold glitter card stock and the silver, so I figured I'd make one of each. I cut the glitter card stock from the GP1006 Festive Glitter Pad using the 2466 Layer Cake Drip Icing craft die for the icing on the cakes.

For the sentiment, I utilized the 2555 Sending Love Poe Script craft die. I cut some with the same glitter card stock that I used for the icing. However, to add a splash of color, I also cut some from festive green and festive red glitter card stock from the same pad. These colors happen to be the favorites and/or birthstone colors of my cousins and their fiancés, so it seemed like the perfect choice!

The rest of the card came together pretty much the same way as the other easel cards that the design team has made in the past. I had the hearts left over from the sentiment die cuts, so I used those on the inside as stoppers.

I couldn't help but take a whole bunch of pictures of these, so enjoy these scrolling gallery of pictures!

Delicate Lace Card using the Nordic Border Craft Die Set
by Sphoorti

Hello Poppy Peeps!

It's Sphoorti with a quick and easy card that takes very little time and still looks very elegant. Here's how to do it!

2676D8DC-ADC0-49A0-9DB9-A59A7D47A28F

I started with the 2595 Nordic Border Set craft die and cut some plain white cardstock as well as some vellum paper. Little tip: If you fold Vellum over a few times and then die cut it, you'll get multiples at once!

6147DC7F-AA18-48E3-9B75-CBEF7D6293AB

I applied some liquid glue and/or some dry adhesive at the tops of the borders and laid them on top of each other in a cascading effect starting from the bottom. I alternated between the vellum and the solid white cardstock, and I also used both rectangular options in the 2595 Nordic Border Set craft die.

23C0B3FF-8E21-4C20-B500-79746DED2D80

After getting to about three quarters to the top, I took some glitter cardstock and adhered it to the panel.

BCCA56B5-648D-460D-B6B2-E383928EB055

I used some Perfect Pearls in gold and in the Perfect Pearl colors to splatter some of that glittery goodness all over the laces. (I got some unintentionally on the glitter cardstock too, but hey, as long as it glitters!)

I took the 2555 Sending Love Poe Script craft die and cut out two, one from some gold glitter cardstock, and one from some silver glitter. I cut out the word "love" from the sentiment and adhered them together slightly offset. I adhered this sentiment at the top right above the gold glitter band, and that was it!

What do you guys think? I think it would make an awesome card for a wedding, don't you?

Mixing it up with Hot-foiling and Distress-Inking!
by Sphoorti

F810FA45-A6C5-42C8-96D1-1057AD377B68

Hello Poppy Peeps!

It's Sphoorti again!

A while back, I busted out my hot foiling gear and went all in on a creative binge. While in the zone, I whipped up this absolute beauty using the PSF809 Leaf and Tendril Hot Foil Plate, and some stunning Opal foil on a white card panel. Now, if you haven't dipped your toes in the magic that is Opal foil, prepare to be mind-blown – it's like the holographic unicorn of foils! When the light hits it just right, it possesses this ethereal quality. But, and here's the catch, when it's not vibing with the lighting, it practically disappears into the background.

In a moment of doubt, I came this close to ditching this beauty, thinking it was a total bust because the foil's wow factor on plain white card stock just disappeared. I wished there was a way to induce some serious color into that panel.

Then it hit me! Distress inks! Duh!

I reached for my beloved distress inks, including Wilted Violet, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Lucky Clover, Mermaid Lagoon, and Candied Apple, and went to town with some serious inking. I gotta say, the panel turned out absolutely gorgeous!

For the next step, I used the 2530 Large Stitched Envelope and Postage craft die to cut an envelope from vellum. Additionally, I utilized the 2464 Marzipan Alphabet craft die set to create a set of letters.

I stuck the vellum envelope onto the opal-foiled, distress-inked panel, and creatively arranged the alphabet letters both inside and outside the envelope, and bam - I ended up with this!

A

I shared it with a friend and she asked about the intention behind the letters. I clarified that I had intended for only the silver X and O to be prominent, The other letters were picked randomly to give it a cool, abstract vibe without any particular meaning. To lessen confusion for the recipient, I carefully mixed in different letters, letting them overlap so that it made it hard for anyone to try and figure out secret messages. That seems to have done the trick!

13434DB8-7F9C-497F-B061-E1129B6DCE58

I had these cute puffy heart stickers leftover from a previous project, and I decided to scatter a bunch of white hearts to make it look like they were spilling out from the envelope.

0316477F-5C9A-4057-85AA-B25804D5EF98

After that, I just used foam to give the X and the O a bit of dimension, and I was good to go!
