You Are the Sweetest
by Nancy Penir

DSC_0241

Hello and welcome! Nancy here, and I have one last summer card for you, before pumpkin season takes over.

DSC_0249_wm

I have geraniums in my garden, do you? Our extreme dry heat takes them out in late summer, so I couldn't find one plant blooming, to post a picture of their beauty for you. Their thick lush leaves grow together blanketing the soil, and the flowers grow high on sturdy stems. I wanted to capture that for my card.

DSC_0225

All pieces were cut from white cardstock and sponge inked. That way I could assemble the blooms from deeply inked to pale.

DSC_0229 2

The sentiment is black embossed onto clear cardstock. Be sure to use heat resistant clear cardstock so the heat doesn't warp it.

Layered and dimensional, I will certainly handmake a custom envelope.

Are your cards taking a turn toward autumn? Sometimes saying goodby to summers bright colors is bittersweet. At least my cards are still blooming! Have a wonderful week!

Hello there!

It's Sphoorti with a gentle reminder of this month's challenge - PSC#94 - Over the Rainbow! Summer is always a feast for the eyes in a rainbow of  color! Bold, beautiful flowers, sweet summer fruits, and a trip to the pool / the beach. This month we want you to add ALL the colors or maybe even an actual rainbow to your project. Your project can be for any occasion, just be sure to include at least one Poppystamps image (stamp or die) on your project!

2022-07

This was my take on the challenge. Hope you like them!

Card # 1:

EC6B4A31-DD06-4A61-A209-9FCAA0D58F1C

For my first card, I took the leaves from the Maple Symphony craft die and colored them with distress inks. I used my usual favorites: Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover, Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet, and Picked Raspberry and ink blended over the leaves (in that order).

I foam mounted the leaves along the bottom of my card base.

18BCDD70-295B-4416-BCEA-32A2F8C08C42

I took some Perfect Pearls in Gold and Perfect Pearl (silver / whitish) colors and splattered them over the leaves and bottom border of the card.

18BCDD70-295B-4416-BCEA-32A2F8C08C42

Then, I took a Sakura Quickie Glue pen and drew little dots around the leaves on the card base. After they were fully dry, I took some Therm O Web Deco Foil in the rainbow color and applied it to the dots (so that the colors of the foil match the leaf colors). Absolutely loved this effect! I couldn't capture it on camera but it's really fun to see in real life, and pretty too!

18BCDD70-295B-4416-BCEA-32A2F8C08C42

I took a hot foiled sentiment from the PSF802 Modest Greetings 1 Hot Foil Plate and Die (the "Just a Note" one), cut it out in shape of a banner and foam mounted it on the right side above the leaves. And that was it! What do you think?

Card # 2:

82BD407A-34C1-40F5-A7EF-BE92650A8311

For my second card, I took the Leafy Garden Border craft die and cut out a number of die cuts from it. I layered them on top of each other in order to create a chipboard-like die cut (for stability and a raised look because as Laura Bassen sings - "Dimension is liiiiiiife!")

DCB0D608-8466-4867-90C2-70300BBF7FB6

I used the same distress inks that I used on the first card to ink blend over the leafy border.

I took a hot foiled sentiment from the PSF808 Modest Greetings 2 Hot Foil Plate and Die (the "You're so kind" one), cut it out in shape of a banner and foam mounted it on the right side above the leaves. And that was it! What do you think?

Kitty Kit
by Candice Crawford

Poppystamps 6.23.22.1

Hi cr afters, Candice here on the blog showcasing the new Whittle Adorable Kitty Kit from Poppystamps.  This stamps and die kit is super cute. It contains several 5 kitty die cut images a circle image for a rug a box and two hearts. There is a coordinating stamp set that has seven punny sentiments and a miniature paw print image.

Poppystamps 6.23.22.2

I used several elements from the kit to create today's card. First I created my own pattern paper for the bottom portion of the card, by stamping the paw print in a random pattern with versfine onyx black ink.

Poppystamps 6.23.22.3

Next I die cut three of the cat images from black cardstock and adhered them to the white card front panel with 3M foam tape. I cut a 1/4 inch strip of teal cardstock from stash and adhered it to the card front just above the stamped paw print images.

Poppystamps 6.23.22.4

Then I die cut the smallest heart from white cardstock and colored it with my R29 Copic marker. Lastly I created the sentiment Just a Note using the new Modest Greetings 1 Hot Foil plate and die.

Poppystamps 6.23.22.5

I simply love how clean, simple and easy this card came together. I hope you've enjoyed today's card share and found inspiration. Until next time, happy crafting.

DSC_0188

Hello! Hope your summer's off to a great start. Are you playing along with Poppystamps' Challenge? Here's a reminder that this month's challenge is Summer Solstice.

DSC_0198_wm

I love playing with bright colors, so I reached for my magicals. They start off as a powder, and when you add water, POW! They explode with color.

DSC_0189

Did I mention they're (the Magicals) bright, sparkly, and summery? Just perfect for a Whittle Lizard and Cactus.

Hope you play along, we love seeing your take on the theme. The rules are simple - just create a project following the theme, use at least one Poppystamps image or die, and link it up here.  The design we love best will receive our winner badge to proudly display on their blog, and one lucky random winner will receive a prize.  You don't have to have a blog to play.  You can link to any online gallery.   In fairness to other players, we reserve the right to remove entries that do not use at least one Poppystamps image.   We ask that you link a maximum of  3 entries to each challenge.   You are welcome to link your design to other challenges.  Grab our badge to post on your blog post or sidebar

Just A Note!
by Candice Crawford

Poppystamps DT 5.28.21 1

Happy Friday Crafty Friends!

Hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to the long holiday weekend here in the US. My thank you card stash was getting low, so I decided to replinish my stash and make a few note cards. This note card die from Poppystamps is a staple die for making quick and easy Thank you cards or general A2 size note cards.

Poppystamps DT 5.28.21 2

The supplies I used are the Stitched Envelope die, the Double Stitched Rectangle Frames die, which is my go to die for all of my cards, and lastly the Greeting Basics Stamp set. I used a small heart punch from my stash to add the teeny tiny white heart to the envelope flap.

Poppystamps DT 5.28.21 3

I die cut the stitched envelopes from a rainbow of scrap papers from my stash. Then I die cut the stitched rectangle frame from some white cardstock. I assembled each envelope with some liquid glue then popped them up on some foam tape for added dimension. The sentiment was stamped with Versfine Onyx Black ink. The entire card panel came together by  reassembleing the white frame onto a white A2 size card base with the envelopes attached.

Poppystamps DT 5.28.21 4

I hope you all have enjoyed today's card share and found some inspiration. Until next time, Happy Crafting.
