Time to Celebrate

May 30 Celebrate Full WITH

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by the Poppystamps blog! This card is one of many I try to keep in my "any occasion" stash! With the addition of a simple sentiment this card could be used for weddings, birthdays, promotions, etc!

May 30 Celebrate CU1 WITH

I used the Finial Circle die and cut it out two times with coordinating cardstock. I then "wove" them together and attached to my card panel!

May 30 Celebrate CU2 WITH

My sentiment is from the Birthday Blowout stamp set. I heat embossed it with a copper embossing powder onto a piece of vellum that I wrapped around a light grey cardstock.

I really like the wreath encircling the sentiment. I purposefully did not adhere the entire wreath to the panel; I wanted a bit of dimension with the sprigs.

All products used are listed at the bottom of my post and I hope you will give this "generic" card a try!

Bee-lieve in Yourself
by Robin Tharaldson

PS June 18 Full With

With graduations happening all over the city, I created a card to encourage any graduate!

PS June 18 CU1 With

For my background I used the Honeycomb Curve die on a panel of white cardstock. I then backed the panel with a honey colored panel.  I cut the Believe Loose Script die three times and stacked together to create a dimensional word. I also sponged a little Fossilized Amber to the bottom for more interest.

My little bees are from a blog hop Poppystamps had with Buttons Galore! The shanks, on the back of the buttons, are easily removed with wire snips. The following video will show you just how this card went together!

I hope you enjoyed my card and tutorial, thanks for stopping by and I'll see you next time!

Blog Blitz & Mod Hex Background

Thanks for joining us for another great day of Blog Blitz inspiration!  Aren't the newly released dies and stamps amazing?  You can see them all here.

Poppystamps Mod Hex Background

I'm using the Mod Hex Background on my card today.  Since it's such a fun die I thought water colouring would go great with it.  And what better person to give it to than a young high school graduate!

Closeup Mod Hex Background

I used Distress Inks to watercolour the card stock, then I flicked on some paint, die cut the hexagons and placed them back in their spots with foam tape.  And I couldn't resist adding a sprinkling of sequins!

Mod Hex Background

The blog hop continues until April 25th with daily inspiration.  Leave a comment on all of the blog posts to win the product being showcased in that particular post.  I am giving away the Mod Hex Background!

Thanks for joining me today!
