Happy Easter! "Mixed Media Mash-Up" Challenge Reminder
by Rachel Duong

IMG_4281

Hi It's Rachel here with a Happy Easter card in Mixed Media Mash-Up style! I used the Poppystamps "Thoughtful Bunny Duo" die. I hope you will join the Poppystamps Challenge. Just scroll down to the Challenge on the blog and click for all the details.

IMG_4217

To create this card, I die cut the "Thoughtful Bunny Duo" using the "Delicate Glitter" and "Glitzy Glitter" pads. Next I die cut the "Proper Happy Easter" sentiment die from the "Rainbow Reflections Mirror" pad and the "Vibrant Violet" paper pad. (These paper pads by Memory Box are listed below.) I glued the pieces together and set them aside.

For the background, I used Open Studio Watercolor Paper, delicate finish. I layered distress inks mixed with generous amounts of water. Next I stamped "Banner Greetings" stamps over the lower portion of the cardfront. I used "Salty Ocean" distress ink and misted the sentiments with water to create a subtle, worn look. Then I ran embossing ink over the border and heat embossed silver powder to create a beautiful metallic frame. I roughed up the edges and wrapped teal jute string around the lower portion.

IMG_4228

I adhered the bunnies and sentiment to the cardfront and cardbase. Finally, I chose Open Studio "Fairy Jewels" to embellish the card in similar colors present on the background!

I hope you love this card, especially the layers of color. So much goodness!

Nordic Butterfly Wishes
by Birgit Norton

IMG_5554

Hello Poppystamps fans!  Are you enjoying the spring release?  These Nordic dies are all so beautiful.

Today's card is light and lacy.  Here's what I did.

IMG_5549

I started by cutting the Nordic Flourish Background out of white cardstock.  I cut the frame out of vellum.  I love how the vellum softens the flourish background.  I mounted them onto an A2 sized white cardstock base.

IMG_5547

Next, I cut all the pieces of the Nordic Spectacular Butterfly out of teal, aqua and Delicate Pastel Glitter cardstock and layered them up using foam squares.

IMG_5552

I glued one of the butterflies onto the card front.  Just look at the lovely layers and all that dimension.

IMG_5550

I stamped a sentiment from Christmas Banners and cut it out using the coordinating die.  I tucked it in under the butterfly with a little dab of liquid glue.

Belly Rubs
by Rachel Duong

IMG_4209

Hi to all! It's Rachel here with an adorable card full of puppy love! I used the Poppystamps "Holiday Corgi" and the "Playful Pups" dies. Do you like the corgi's sweater?!

IMG_4207

To create this card I die cut the dogs using scraps of grey, light grey and white. I colored the eyes and noses with a black Sharpie fine tip marker.

IMG_4199

I chose a green plaid from the Memory Box "Anemone Plaid" paper pad and die cut the sweater. Next I die cut the sentiment in Memory Box "Stormy Blue". Then I die cut the "Nordic Floral Plate" in a buttery cream cardstock for the background. I die cut blue, green and grey from the same plate to use pieces to embellish the background.

IMG_4197

Glue all the pieces together. The cream base goes on a white card base. Then the embellishments, the dogs, and the sentiment.

IMG_4203

Finally, I added Stickles glitter glue to the little hearts on the sentiment. Awesome!

IMG_4208

I hope you love this adorable card. I had a wonderful time creating it. I am excited to try making dogs in so many other colors. Until next time, take care and stay healthy!

Bunny Love
by Birgit Norton

Bunny Love8

Do you have a special "some-bunny" in your life?  Birgit here with you today, and I'm revisiting some of the previously released dies.

Have you been enjoying the spring release so far?  Sometimes I can get so caught up in the new releases that I overlook the timeless dies from previous releases.  So today, I've paired the darling Wishful Bunny and other previously released sets to make a card for some bunny special in my life.  Let's get started!

Bunny Love5

I started by cutting the Heartfelt Pinpoint Frame out of pink cardstock and mounted it to an A2 sized pink card base.

Bunny Love6

I cut the Lovely Fringe Flowers out of white and the same pink cardstock.   I also cut the Wishful Bunny out of white cardstock and played around with the layout.  I added a pink gingham ribbon bow to the bunny to dress her up.

Bunny Love3

Once I decided on the layout for the card front, I assembled the flower and mounted it onto a red paper medallion.

I cut a pink glittered heart from the Delicate Pastel Glitter Pad, using the Heartfelt Pinpoint Frame and glued that to the top of the flower.

Bunny Love7

For the sentiment, I cut the Peace, Love and Belly Rubs out of white cardstock and trimmed off just the "LOVE" section for the sentiment and glued that to a Colwell Label.

Bunny Love

To complete the sentiment, I cut the letter "U" from the Marzipan Alphabet and glued it onto the bunny's extended paw, thus completing my card.

Sparkling Wings : A Glittery Butterfly Birthday Card
by Jyoti Adhikar

GlitteryButterfly.3

Hi! This is Jyoti. Welcome to a world of shimmer and shine as we embark on a creative journey to craft a dazzling Glittery Butterfly Birthday Card! With a delightful lineup of products from  Poppystamps and Memory Box , we'll infuse this card with elegance, charm, and just the right amount of sparkle. Join me as we bring this vision to life, step by step.

Selecting the Color Palette

Every crafting adventure begins with selecting the perfect color palette. For this Glittery Butterfly Birthday Card, I opted for hues of red from the Blush Solid Core Card-stock pack. From deepest crimson to soft rose, these shades set the stage for a truly enchanting creation, perfectly complementing the festive theme.

Crafting the Butterfly

The centerpiece of our card is none other than the Nordic Fanfare Butterfly, a symbol of grace and beauty. With meticulous care, I die-cut the butterfly's wings from the selected shades of red card-stock, ranging from darkest to lightest. Adding a touch of opulence, I fashioned the butterfly's body from gold glitter paper, infusing our creation with a hint of magic.

Adding Nordic Borders

To frame our butterfly in elegance, I turned to the Nordic Border Set. Cutting two circular borders from the lightest red cardstock, I placed a piece of gold glitter card-stock behind each to create a stunning contrast. The intricate designs of the borders added a touch of sophistication, setting the stage for the card's focal point.

Building the Card Layout

With the foundational elements in place, it was time to construct the card layout. Centering the design on the charming Poinsettia Plaid pattern paper, I flanked it with rich red card-stock pieces, allowing the Nordic borders to shine. A delicate balance of colors and textures emerged, creating a visually captivating composition.

Sentiments and Sparkle

No birthday card is complete without a heartfelt sentiment! Using the Modest Banner Greetings set, I foiled the sentiment "Happy Birthday To You" in luxurious gold onto a piece of light red card-stock. This sentiment, adorned with a subtle offset gold glitter banner, found its place beneath the majestic butterfly. But why stop there? A touch of gold glitter stickles and shimmering lines along the butterfly's wings added an extra dose of sparkle and whimsy, elevating our Glittery Butterfly Birthday Card to new heights of enchantment.

And there you have it—our Glittery Butterfly Birthday Card is ready to dazzle and delight! With its shimmering wings and heartfelt sentiment, this creation is sure to bring joy to the lucky recipient. May it serve as a reminder of the beauty and magic that handmade cards can bring to any celebration.

Hugs,

Jyoti

Sending Love
by Rachel Duong

IMG_4176

Hi everyone! It's Rachel here with a fancy Valentine. I am so excited about the Poppystamps "Nordic Flourish Background" die. It has so many intricate details and can be used for many occasions throughout the year. Do you have your Valentines ready to send?! Here's hoping you might want to try this one out.

IMG_4170

To create this card I die cut the "Nordic Flourish Background" in white cardstock and adhered it to an A2 white card base. Next I used red glitter paper from the Memory Box shimmering cardstock "Glitzy Glitter Pad" and cut the second largest heart from the "Scallop Pinpoint Hearts" die. I die cut it two more times in white. Next I die cut the Poppystamps "Nordic Flourishes" using the Memory Box "Rainbow Reflections Mirror Pad" red foil paper and the Memory Box Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad in pearlized gold.  Then using the Memory Box "Lush Green Collection" paper pad in two shades, I die cut leaves from the "Nordic Fancy Blossoms" die. I stamped and cut the sentiment in black ink from the Poppystamps clear stamp and die set called "Sentimental Banners".

IMG_4145

Now for the arranging and gluing part of the card! I chose a few random pieces to glue on the existing white background. I adhered the heart frame to the background and arranged the leaves. Next I taped the leaves in place, glued the solid white heart, second white frame, and red heart on top.

IMG_4153

Finally, the gold accent flower grounds the sentiment!

IMG_4151

The pearlescent gold and the shiny red embellishments complement the gorgeous heart! I just love this card. It has so much character and movement when it interacts with a light source!

IMG_4175
May your Valentine's Day be full of love and happiness. Take care and see you in a little while with another card. Please take a look at the amazing Poppystamp collection full of endless creativity, it is spectacular!
