Hello everyone! Can you believe that tomorrow is already December? Yikes, Christmas is just around the corner! I have another holiday card for you that uses the Fairy Sugar Glitter Glue, this time with the Stained Glass Angel.
Just like the Holly Background card I created here, I die cut 3 layers of Neenah 110lb card stock, layered them and attached that to a piece of white card.
Next I filled all the open areas with glitter glue and let it dry overnight.
I die cut the angel one more time from silver glitter card stock and used that as my top layer.
For some visual interest I die cut the Double Stitch Scalloped Rectangle from white and glued that to my card base and added the glitter panel on top.
For the sentiment I went with silver heat embossing on white card stock using the Christmas Quotes stamp and die set.
Thanks for visiting with me today and wishing you a great week!
Hi everyone, Sue here with my first Christmas card of the season and I thought I would sparkle it up big time!
I couldn't wait to use the gorgeous Holly Background die and decided that all the open spaces in the design would be wonderful to fill will glitter glue.
If you follow along with my posts, you'll remember that I used glitter glue to create a Valentine's Day card that can be found here. Since that card was posted, Memory Box came out with their own brand of glitter glue which I'm using on this project. All the scrumptious colours can be found here.
First I took the Holly Background and die cut it 3 times from 110lb Neenah Solar White and once from gold glitter card stock. I adhered the white layers together and attached it to my card base.
I chose my colours of glitter glue and squeezed them into the different die cut areas. I used a toothpick to help get the glitter glue in the corners because the glitter glue does shrink as it dries. Because of this I make sure to use enough glitter glue so it comes to the top of the third layer of the die cut panel. It will drop down after it dries and if you get a little bit of glitter glue on the top portion of the die cut panel it doesn't matter because it will be covered up with the last layer, the gold glitter piece.
This technique is easy and quick and since there are so many fabulous glitter glue colours out there, the options are boundless!
I did my glittering in the evening and left it overnight and it was dry in the morning. Then I added my top gold glitter layer and a simple white heat embossed sentiment.
I had a lot of fun with this technique and I may be eyeing another Christmas die to use with the glitter glues. I hope you give this a try!
Have a great week!
Hello everyone, another take of this fabulous Poppystamps "Birdhouse Pop Up Easel Die", can be used for so many occasions, mine could be Christmas/Anniversary/birthday/New home celebration, list is endless..
I have used Kraft card and dark green card, red for these cardinals.
I cut another from the easel shape, rather than just use the next layer up.
This is how I layered up, used a pencil to add a bit of detail to the roof! Also along the wood lines in the green card. just ready to add a sentiment and glitter.
I wanted a green edging for the inside,
think it finish`s of the inside, when I have added my sentiment, I have place for my insert.
I wanted just Celebrate, so us tape to mask of, ink up then remove the tape.
Memory Box Glitters to add to the foliage.
If I had used this Easel card for Christmas, I would have added some snow detail.
Thank you for stopping by today Pam x.
Hello! Nadine here and today I am sharing a Christmas Easel Card I made using one of Poppystamps' new Christmas dies, the Bird House Pop Up Easel Set. For the birdhouse, I used the Memory Box Garland Paper and for the snow, on the roof, I used the Memory Box Frosted Glitter Paper. For the wreath around the birdhouse opening, I used some green cardstock and then used Fairy Sugar in Ruby Crystals for the berries on the twigs.
Above you can see how the card looks when it is standing but here is what it looks like when laying flat. It will fit perfectly into an A2 size envelope.
and here is a close-up of my card...
