Fall Sneaks In
by Michele K. Henderson

IMG_4766-wm

Hello Friends,

Fall is starting to sneak in. Are you ready? These sweet little ghosts from our latest release are delivering cheerful greetings in bright colors to welcome in Autumn. Take a look!

IMG_4764-wm

I started with our woodgrain paper card base, and added an orange stitched border. I used a light beige for the Large Stitched Envelope from the Large Stitched Envelope and Postage set. Then I created a bouquet of Fall flowers using the Potpourri Flower Set, Delightful Daisy, Dandelion Stem, Layered Lovely Flowers. and Layered Fringe Flowers, all in shades of orange, yellow, and ivory.

The little "HI" in the corner was made with the Marzipan Alphabet. Tiny white ghosts from Little Scary Guys peek out from around the envelope to say hello.

A few sparkling Fairy Gemstones in Fall colors add the finishing touch!

It's easy to start getting ready for Fall with this new release!

Thanks for joining us today!

Christmas Gnomes
by Nancy Penir

DSC_0259

Christmas Greetings, Poppy Peeps! Are you a fan of gnomes? Jolly 'ol bearded folk that bring. a smile every time. I've brought you a couple of cards using the new Poppystamps Whittle Gnome.

DSC_0244_wm

For the background oval I used a die to create a stencil.

DSC_0241

I die cut Snowflake Flurry Collage with a heavy piece of cardstock, this one is vellum. Then lightly sprayed the back with Pixie adhesive. The die cut can be used successfully twice. Then if you need more, cut another stencil. The image creates a great textured background.

This card was stenciled with Ranger Stickles Glitter Gel. My gnome has a felt cap with red felt brim and pom. His beard is the fun part! I applied Fun Flock (Stampendous) onto wet glue, added more glue and sprinkled on glitter and mica flakes. It's a 'snow' I've had for a long time and use for background photos at Christmastime. Gnomes' nose is cut from pink shimmer.

See his sprig on his cap brim? That's the top piece of Poppystamps Pine Needle Shoots.

Card 2 has my gnome with a red felt cap and white felt brim and pom. This time the background stencil is with opaque paste with the Stickles mixed in.

Don't you love his fuzzy blingy beard? See the snowflake on hat brim? It's a piece of the die cut with Fairy Sugar. If you like the Oval Frame, it's created with Poppy's Basic Oval Set. Peeps I've use that die set so many times! One of those 'must haves!'

Spring Dream
by Jeanne Jachna

Wishful Bunny-Poppystamps-Jeanne Jachna-CU1

Hi friends!  I hope you're having a great day.  I love that Spring is in the air!  I'm seeing daffodils in the yard and everything is turning green!  Spring just couldn't get here fast enough this year.  I'm excited to be outside in the sunshine!

Wishful Bunny-Poppystamps-Jeanne Jachna-Side

I'm sharing a card today that's perfect for an Easter or Spring greeting! You know I love  a card with a scene and using Poppystamps dies it's easy to find images that are proportioned well to work together.

Wishful Bunny-Poppystamps-Jeanne Jachna-CU4

I wish you could touch my card because the Wishful Bunny is cut from felt.   To help stabilize the soft material I used double sided adhesive.  I adhered the adhesive sheet to a scrap of cardstock, and then to the white felt.  The die cut through the assembled material beautifully.

Wishful Bunny-Poppystamps-Jeanne Jachna-CU2

I started my card by cutting some grass using the Woven Basket Pop Up Easel set.  I adhered the grass to a cardstock panel of blue sky.  A large Scallop Stitched Frame is adhered next and the sweet scene is placed inside.

Wishful Bunny-Poppystamps-Jeanne Jachna-CU3

I think details really make the difference so I added a pink egg in the bunny's paws,  lots of flowers with gem centers, some butterflies and even a google eye for the bunny!

Wishful Bunny-Poppystamps-Jeanne Jachna

I hope you'll try adding a little felt to your designs.  If you do, it's a great time to join along with the challenge this month.  Maybe you'll be our lucky winner!

Have a great day!

PSC#91 Add Texture!  Looking for an easy way to take your cards from ordinary to EXTRA-ordinary?  Just add a little contrasting texture!  We want you to go beyond smooth cardstock - add some dimension with contrasting textures like paste, embossing powders, embossing folders,  or with the addition of fabric or ribbon to make a big impression.       What a great opportunity to use something you already have or to try something new. like foundry wax or  glitz gels and glazes.  The challenge is not limited to cards - we'd love to see your page layouts, home decor, tags, and mixed media.   It's your choice, just be sure to use at least one Poppystamps image (stamp or die) on your project!

Need a little inspiration?  Here are some samples from our design team.  Want a closer look?   No worries.. we'll be featuring these projects on Wednesdays throughout the month, so you can see how each project was created.

Hello, I am a transplanter from Hong Kong, have been living in Canada for over 40 years. I am retired from being programmer analyst and spend most of my time paper crafting. I am addicted, I know!! LOL I also like making travel album and lately venturing into mix-media projects. I find my inspirations from challenge blogs, and Pinterest. But sometimes, when I am really stumped, I picked a product and start from there.

I used the Poppystamps : Scribble Daisy Heart Frame. I cut it out a few times, once for the felt heart , I just cut around the heart from the inside of the frame.  Second time I cut the die I decided to leave all the pieces inside . You could change out the color if you wanted .

This is a simple card , I usually leave the sentiment off until I know who my card is for or what the occasion will be. This simple large heart could be use for more than Valentine's Day.

My unicorn, cut out of felt, it's beautiful!
