Welcome to the Poppystamps Challenge!  We're so happy you've stopped by and we sure hope you'll join us!  On the first of the month we announce a new Poppystamps Challenge  with a central theme.  The design team will provide samples for inspiration and you can play along through the end of the month for your chance to win.

The winner of our blog badge for last month's challenge Masquerade is Ionabunny

The lucky winner of the draw (chosen by random number generator)  for the  monthly prize is Paper Rx (Ali T.)

Please contact me (jeanne) at [email protected] to claim your prize.

Want to play?

The rules are simple - just create a project following the theme, use at least one Poppystamps image or die, and link it up here.  The design we love best will receive our winner badge to proudly display on their blog, and one lucky random winner will receive a prize.  You don't have to have a blog to play.  You can link to any on line gallery.   In fairness to other players, we reserve the right to remove entries that do not use at least one Poppystamps image.   We ask that you link a maximum of  3 entries to each challenge.   You are welcome to link your design to other challenges.  Grab our badge to post on your blog post or side bar!

Sweet Faerie Tag
by Jeanne Jachna

Sweet-Wishes-One
I'm starting to focus on more holiday projects - Christmas Cards and tags to dress up packages!  Today I'm sharing a cute simple tag that will delight the young at heart!
Sweet-Wishes
I started with a Tucked Corner Tag cut from white card stock.  I added a small snowy border made with the Stitched Hills die to the bottom of the tag to add some detail to the snowy scene.   It's the perfect place for the igloo from the Wintertime Faeries clear stamp set.
Sweet-Wishes-Two
I stamped all the images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers before die cutting them with the coordinating die set.  I adhered all the images with adhesive foam tape.  I wanted to give the faerie the appearance of flight.  She's waving her magic want and leaving presents for everyone nice!
Sweet-Wishes-Three
I
added a string of die cut stars hanging from twine strung through the holes at the top of the tag.  Most twine has a tendency to unravel at the ends so I like to finish the ends with a knot.  For this one I added some glass beads.  The holidays require a little sparkle and shine!
Sweet-Wishes
Have a great day!

Hello there!  I used the darling Wintertime Fairies Stamp and Die set from Poppystamps  to make this shaker card .

I used Memory box Pinpoint Rectangle Layers to cut out the window opening for the shaker.

See the one tiny light bulb in the set, its so fun because you can make anything with it.

I stamped the little Christmas bulbs then drew in the string with a fine tip black marker.

I raised my panel with fun foam added some sequins and then the holly on the outside of the window .

Everything is colored in with Spectrum Noir shimmer pens.

It's so fun making the shaker cards with the fun foam, I think it fast and easy. Hope you have a good weekend .

God bless you all!

Magical Fairy with Hidden Slider
by Jennifer Svare

Slider5

Hello!  I hope everyone is enjoying the slider week so far!  I have really enjoyed seeing all of the beautiful and fun designs.  I've always loved sliders, but they have seemed intimidating to me, so I never tried one until now.  I'm so glad I did!  They are not at all as difficult as I had imagined.  Super easy and fun.  I used the Straight Slider Grooves craft dies to create the slider track.

The slider track on this card is hidden behind the front frame.  The ribbon on the right pulls the message tab out, moves the fairy, and also reveals colorful dots of "Show" along the way!

When closed, there are no colors, but as the fairy slides along, colorful dots of "snow" are revealed along the way.

The Wintertime Fairies set is so cute and has so many possibilities.  I can't wait to incorporate more of these adorable designs perfect for sider cards!

Video for the slider card below shows how to incorporate the basic idea of this slider card mechanism into your dies and design ideas:

Don't forget to leave a comment for your chance to win a GREAT prize! You have until 12 am US EST September 13 to leave comments on the posts.

How to Make a Slider Card
by Rebecca Keppel

Poppystamps slider card 3

Interactive cards are so fun! But creating from scratch can be difficult and time consuming. Now, thanks to Poppystamps Straight Slider Grooves dies, you can make a fun, interactive slider card in a matter of minutes!

Poppystamps Slider Card 1

I paired the Straight Slider Grooves dies with the new Wintertime Fairies stamps to create two cards with interactive fairies that slide across the card.

Poppystamps slider card 2

Want to see how quickly the Christmas card came together? Check out this video to see step-by-step how easy it is to create a slider card with these dies!

These new slider dies are the perfect compliment to any character or critter stamp set, but I loved pairing them with the Wintertime Fairies! And of course it is never too early to start making holiday cards!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
