by Marybeth Lopez

Hello and Happy Weekend to you all! Marybeth here today with a card sending Hugs and Kisses ( this will go to on of my granddaughters ) I used the new Poppystamps Floral Lace Heart Split Border craft die along with Poppystamps  Valentine's Fun clear stamp.

A5C62F56-9C98-4452-99B7-F42D3BED13CE_1_201_a

I blended ink just behind the heart, I kinda made a mask with the negative of this die , as you can see on the right side of the heart. When taken away, the only blended ink will be under the delicate heart, simply done with out making a mask. On the left side you don't have to worry because it will be covered up with the Floral Lace Heart Split Border

See above, when the negative of the die is taken away all you see is the original watercolored panel.

I love this 3D Embossing Folder from memory box called :Heart Bouquet EF1006 Heart Bouquet  . It's so easy to use ... place envelope in folder on top of one plate and run it through your die machine.

3235755F-63E1-42E3-8A2B-2D33088EC463_1_201_a

After I was almost done with my card I decided to add two more layers to the top of my card, for more dimension.

D1ED1FF1-3CCA-408C-A3C9-CC7F7F02E725_1_201_a

You cant really see in the photo but I also went over the lacy part of the heart and used a shimmer pen.

I layered two sentiments on top of each other to create this , I wanted it to fill up the lower portion of the panel.

Thanks for the visit to day and God bless you.

Valentine's blog blitz - Love & Hugs
by Tina Wilstrup

Watermark1.57878356454E12

Happy new year, Poppy fans! We are continuing our valentine's blog blitz and I'm sharing 2 cards today showcasing the beautiful Grid heart frame die. Although the Danish flourists have long adapted the valentine's tradition, I myself have not. So instead I made cards of love and hugs.
Watermark1.57878356454E12

For the first card I ink blended a background with pink oxide inks and cut the frame 4 times from white cardstock. I layered the frames and glued them on top of the pink base.
Watermark1.57878356454E12

I cut and colored the Whittle panda. To avoid getting my black marker all over the panda I placed a piece of cardstock behind the eye.
Watermark1.57878356454E12

I cut the envelope, heart tag and love outline letters from white cardstock - the shadow from black cardstock. I ink blended the tag and also the little cut out heart. I stamped the sentiments and tugged the panda into the envelope so it looks like he's holding the tag.
Watermark1.57878356454E12

Both the envelope and love outline are popped up with craft foam and the panda itself is popped up as well. I ran over the tiny heart...
Watermark1.57878356454E12

... as well as the letters with a clear sparkle pen and then glossy accents for a shiny dimensional look. Isn't it pretty!?
Watermark1.57878356454E12

For a final touch I added some clear sequins.

IMG_20200112_000701

The other card is all about hedge-hugs. Here I also ink blended the base with oxide inks but this time I threw in a little purple as well.
IMG_20200112_000701

I cut and colored the Whittle hedgehog. Once again I stuck a piece of cardstock behind the ear to ensure not getting my light and dark colors mixed.
IMG_20200112_000701

I left the hugs heart white but popped it up and backed it with a piece of cardstock inked with the same color as the base.
IMG_20200112_000701

Although the light makes it a little hard to see the Grid heart frame is heat embossed with a pretty soft pink and sparkly embossing powder. Sooo gorgeous!
IMG_20200112_000701

And here's the finished card. I hope I have inspired you. But wait... the best is yet to come! You could win the Grid heart frame used on these cards.

by Dana Kirby

SavingPNG-1

Good Morning Friends and Happy New Week! I hope your New Year is off to a great start. Today we are continuing with out Blog Blitz and giving away more prizes!! Today we are giving away the Confetti Heart Plate...more details down below!

SavingPNG

I started my card by creating my background. I used Distress Oxide Ink in Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Cracked Pistachio, Tumbled Glass and Shaded Lilac. I ink blended the colors onto a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock.

IMG_6241

I then used the Confetti Heart Plate die and ran it through my die cutting machine.

IMG_6242

I used liquid adhesive and attached my die cut Confetti Heart Plate to my ink blended background.  I then used the Love Outline Die to die cut my sentiment from light gray (shadow) and white cardstock. I love how this die includes both the shadow and the word. I attached my sentiment to my card panel and attached everything to my A2 card base to finish my card.

O Holy Night
by Tina Wilstrup

Watermark1.572808249747E12

Hi Poppy fans! It's now 5 days till Christmas and I have a card for you that shows the calm of that holy night.
Watermark1.572808249747E12

I die cut and Copic colored the Whittle sleepy fox and the village houses. I picked out the windows from the houses and colored them individually so the houses look like they're filled with light and trees.
Watermark1.572808249747E12

I forgot to take a picture of the background (sorry) but before assembling I inkblended the backgrond with oxide inks and splattered it with silver acrylic paint. I hand cut 2 panels for snowy hills and inked the top of them. The top layer is popped up. I then popped up the houses and fox and shaded under them with Copic markers. Notice the fox' pawprints. He loves the silence and the squeeking snow.
Watermark1.572808249747E12

My plan was to use the O holy noght flourish as smoke from one of the chimneys, and so I wanted to heat emboss it. In order not to break the intricate cut I layered 5 cuts. I then heat embossed 3 layers of WOW! white twinkle embossing powder. It's white with silver glitter and perfect for the smoke.
Watermark1.572808249747E12

This is my last post this year, so I thank you for all your sweet comments and I hope your Christmas is as calm and cozy as this scene.  I wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Penguin shaker
by Tina Wilstrup

Watermark1.572810370585E12
Hello everyone! We are closing in on that one holy and so very special night and I'm here to share a cute shaker card with you.
IMG_20191127_213640

I first die cut the background and snowy hills of the snowglobe kit. I ink blended the background and the top of the hills using distress oxide inks. I flicked some diluted white acrylic paint over the background for a snowy look.
IMG_20191127_213640

I cut a panel and sprayed it with watercolors sprays. I'll admit this was my first time using them and the intencity of the color kind of surprised me. But I felt the look worked fine for a night time scene. Before the panel dried I also sprayed with a shimmer spray for a clear, frosty and sparkly look.

Poppy shaker2

I die cut the sentiment die and the snowflake tile from silver glitter cardstock. I cut off the frame so I had parts of the snowflakes. Making sure all the elements would fit I glued the sentiment and snowflakes in place. I also added a couple of stars with a white gelly roll pen.
IMG_20191127_213640

I placed the base and frame of the globe as well as the snowy hills. I then added the 2 darling penguins, colored with Copics, and lots of sequins, gems and chunky glitter.
IMG_20191127_213640

The frame of the globe I cut 6-7 times and layered them ending with a layer of acetate and one cut from silver glitter cardstock and placed over the globe. So pretty! I then added the stand of the globe, also Copic colored, popped up with craft foam.

IMG_20191127_213640

So there you have my holiday shaker. I appreciate you stopping by and would love if you would leave me a comment.

A Child is Born
by Marybeth Lopez

D92ABFCD-A932-4FB5-B787-53C009AE08DE_1_201_a

Hi there ! Marybeth here today with an ink blended Christmas card from Poppystamps and using a Merry Christmas stencil from Memory box . The Stencil is called: Christmas Cursive Merry. I thought is was from last year but I was wrong sorry it's from 2014  #88578 You can make this card using any Christmas stencil you have .

707FEBB7-18C5-4B0F-9CFF-01A8B9BF6C0A

I sprayed the back side of my stencil with : Pixie Spray I think I bought mine on Amazon but many places sell it. I started out ink blending with Candied Apple and wanted a deeper red.

761F33B5-2DFE-4749-9975-96F6E3875712

I went over my stencil a second time using : Festive Berries

E13A6116-F919-41F3-8E05-5E2A5EDC3034

Then one last time did the trick using Ruby red. I love that you can add to the card base with any color. This stencil is very detailed and so easy to do with a blending brush as pictured above. Now the fun part......

6DAD9798-E03E-4A26-888C-0A8F0D6307A6

Taking the stencil off! Without the spray to hold such a detailed stencil in place , it would be hard to have such a clean white image , I love how this turned out. I couldn't decide what color to frame my sentiment ( using the snow globe ) so the frame is cut 3 times and glued together. Then I added a bit of glue to add my two layer dove and olive branch .

5355C1B6-F69F-47ED-AB0B-E01FFA6017BC

My new and very favorite craft glue is : Art Glitter Adhesive.... It comes with a stainless tip and pin to keep the adhesive flowing freely and the tip is so fine . I love how precise this glue is. Many places sell that too , pretty sure I bought mine on amazon . No glitter in it it's just what it called.  I will share a picture of it on my blog. Here

32E1FB3C-D8CF-46A9-B2DD-0627A2FEE44E

I used the Snowglobe ,Christmas Time Stamps and Dove and Olive Branch from Poppystamps the patterned paper around the frame is from memory box Dashing Stripes and Dots.

Thank you so much for the visit today.  Hope I have inspired you in some small way and I hope you have a beautiful weekend.

Mouse warming
by Tina Wilstrup

Watermark1.572790422814E12

Warning! These mischievous mice are turning this cozy relaxing by the fireplace into a mouse warming party!
Watermark1.572790422814E12

I die cut all the pieces from white cardstock, except for the stockings that were cut from Memory Box patterned paper. The mice were colored with Copics and the rest were colored with Distress regular and oxide inks.
Watermark1.572790422814E12

I marked out where I wanted the fireplace and inked up the background with oxide ink. I extended the color from the fireplace to most of the background.
Watermark1.572790422814E12

I popped up the fireplace and as you can see the mice are hanggliding in the Christmas stockings.
Watermark1.572790422814E12

To prevent the watchful corgis to chase them away, a couple of mice have tied their tails together.
Watermark1.572790422814E12

I hope you like my inspiration! Thanks for stopping by today. Have a hapy crafty day!

Challenge Reminder: Fall Frolic
by Candice Crawford

Poppystamps November 2019 Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends,

Candice here reminding you there is still time to participate in this month's blog challenge. Poppystamps blog challenges are fun and so easy to participate. When you link up a project to our challenge you are automatically entered to win a $20 gift certificate to the store.  You dont have to have a blog to link your design - you can link to Instagram, Flickr or any other on line gallery. This month's challenge link ends November 28.

For a bit of inspiration with the challenge, I created this cute tag treat holder that can be used at your holiday place setting or gifted to your hostess at Thanksgiving. This treat holder is so easy to make and can be stuffed with candy or a homemade treat.

November Challenge 1

To make this project, start by die cutting a tag from the largest tag from the double stitched tag frames set in some kraft cardstock. Remember to keep your tag and tag frame together as one piece. Next die cut a strip of leaves from the maple leaf side strips and stencil set from white cardstock. Separate the leaves from the strip by cutting them with your scissors. Next color the leaves with your distress oxide inks in festive berries, carved pumpkin, spiced marmalade, old olive and peeled paint to create the image of fall leaves.

Set your tag and leaves aside, so you have space to create the treat holder. Cut a piece of coordinating kraft cardstock to 5 1/2 inches long by 2 3/4 inches wide. For the sake of my tutorial I am using white cardstock to display the instructions.

Cutting and scoring paper 1

Next score your paper on the 5 1/2inch side at 1/4, 1, 4 1/2 and 5. Then on the 2 3/4 inch side, score the paper at 2 1/4.

Scoring the paper

Next with a pair scissors cut off the two end squares along the score lines. With the two remaining squares, snip only the top portion of the two remaining squares on the score line so that it can be folded inward and attached to the bottom flap.

Cutting the ends

Next, while your paper is still flat, stamp your sentiment or greeting. I used the sentiment So very Thankful from the Autumn leaves stamp set. On the opposite side of the paper from your stamped image, fold all of your score lines to form an open box shape. Use either a strip of 1/4 inch score tape or 2 strips of 1/8 inch score tap on each of your folded flaps. Assemble the bottom portion of the box together first with the score tape.

Adding Score Tape

Now attach the open box to your tag using the score tape placed along the side flaps. Adhere your colored leaves to your box. Next fill your tag treat holder with candy, homemade baked goods, a gift card or whatever you little heart desires. The recipient will just love this adorable little holder as well as the gift. I filled my treat holder with a few Twix mini candy bars. My absolute favorite!

November Challenge 1

I hope today's project gave you a bit a of inspiration to participate in this month's challenge. Thanks for joining me today and Happy Thanksgiving!

Snow Speckle Washi Card
by Nancy Penir

DSC_0015

Happy Holidays to you! Nancy here, and I'm bringing you a card made with the new Snowspeckle Wide Washi Tape Poppystamps has available in the store.

DSC_0018_wm

I've used several of the new dies out this season, plus Mod Poinsettias. And here's a hint on a way to use the wide Washi.

DSC_0024

I covered a red card stock panel with the Washi, and die cut 3 smallest poinsettias. The width makes it easy to cover a panel 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.

DSC_0025

DSC_0019

The touch of softened red with the white dots went nicely with the pastel card. I added white die cut poinsettias, sponged inked with the same aqua behind my Bethlehem scene. The sentiment, O Holy Night was cut down a bit to fit on the bottom.

DSC_0022

Hope you enjoyed today's holiday post, and hope your holiday cards are well on their way to being done!

Have a wonderful, Happy, Crafty Holiday!
