Meet the Poppy Stamps Design Team
Birgit Norton
Crafting While I WaitHello crafty friends, I'm Birgit Norton and I live in the beautiful state of Maine with my hubby of 34 years. We are empty nesters and recently became adopted into the grandparents league, with two beautiful grandbabies, both born in 2022, just three months apart. I've always enjoyed crafting of all kinds since I could hold a crayon, but my passion is working with paper. I started my paper crafting blog in 2012 and have never looked back! Dies are my "go-to" tools and I would say that my design style is clean, layered and I adore anything cute! When I'm not playing with paper and ink in my craft room, I enjoy gardening, furniture restoration and DIY projects. I'm super excited to be joining the Poppystamps team and hopefully inspiring you along the way!
Candice Crawford
Paper Crafting EleganceMy name is Candice Crawford and I am from Southeast Michigan. I enjoy making dimensional handmade cards using stamps and of course, lots of craft dies. I began my paper crafting journey in 2011 as an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, then later expanded my craft supply collection and creativity with various other brands and mediums. I am really excited to join the Poppystamps design team and to share my love for paper crafting with all of you. When I am not in my craft room, you can find me working as a full time Human Resources professional.
Janet Katz
Tiny Paper BlossomHi there! My name is Janet Katz. I live in Austin, Texas with my husband, our two old dogs, and a pond full of koi. My long-ago professional background is in publishing, video production, and marketing. In the midst of my career, I joined a video dating service where I met my sweet husband, Steve. We are now empty nesters with two daughters who live about 3 hours away. We enjoy traveling in our 5th wheel RV and visiting state and national parks. My love of papercrafting started in kindergarten in Miss Ellen's art class. As an only child with little interest in sports, art was my favorite pastime. In my teens, my dad introduced me to 35mm photography and that became a passion too. I had few reasons to craft in my 20s, but after I got married and our first daughter was born, I was introduced to scrapbooking and it was an epiphany moment. In 2002, I was introduced to stamping and cardmaking and added that to my short list of passions. In 2003, I joined a local group of ladies who scrapbook and stamp together twice a month. For 18 years I’ve enjoyed crafting and traveling to retreats with these women, many of whom are now dear friends. I am thrilled to be a member of the Poppystamps Design Team. I love playing with paper, ink and dies, and really diving into the details of a card. I’m excited to share how much fun Poppystamps products can be.
Jeanne Jachna
A Kept LifeHi! I live in Northwest Indiana near Chicago with my DH Roger, and Akita dog Miss Moriko. My hobbies include reading, gardening, and cooking, but my obsession is paper crafting. And my favorite craft product to play with is CRAFT DIES! I love clean graphic designs, color block and adding blingy extras. I have been crafting for as long as I remember, trying everything from candle wicking and leaded glass to jewelry and crochet. I can’t resist a rainbow of colorful ink, paper or markers. My time crafting is a sweet escape and a fun way to express myself. I am excited to be a member of the Poppy Stamps Design Team and can't wait to share my love of paper crafting with you.

Patty Tanuz
Cards By Patty TanuzHi! I am a Mexican art and computer teacher, professional, wife and mother of 2: Hassive & Alberto, I call them My Tattishos hehehe:)))
My passion for art includes painting, drawing, music, photography and of course scrapbooking and card making.
Taking pictures is something I’ve enjoyed since I was a little girl (and even today). I am the photographer of the family .... If my lens does not capture what my eye sees and feels, then the picture is not right.
I’ve always been a scrapper, without knowing it was really scrapbooking. All my life I had a diary, and that's where I "practiced" my craft with materials that my mother gave me such as little buttons, pins, bits of cloth, etc.
I love to create and capture the great moments of my life in my scrapping work... People say that my style is characterized by a number of techniques and details that I apply on my cards and pages.... I love to make cards too. Kisses for all:)
Rachel Duong
Finding Peace StamperHi, my name is Rachel. I live in the Seattle area. I am a wife, a mom of 3 young adults and 2 small dogs. I have fond memories of coloring since childhood. I was introduced to cardmaking almost 25 years ago, but the obsession happened in the past four years! You can find me in my craft room daily. My style is a bit of everything from clean and simple to mixed media! Cardmaking is relaxing, therapeutic and it allows me a path into the world of art and creativity. I think of cards as little pieces of art that can be shared with someone to brighten their day.
Sphoorti
Stamp All The ThingsHello! My name is Sphoorti. It’s a hard name, so please feel free to call me “Sporty”. I’m based in sunny Southern California. I’m a software engineer in the streets and a crafter in the… well, you know! LOL. I started making cards (professional ones, as opposed to the pieces of copy paper I used to fold in half and stuck confetti to when I was a teenager) in 2017 (shortly after I started Calligraphy as a hobby, which led me to serious cardmaking). This is my first full-term design team gig and I’m beyond thrilled and absolutely honored to be a part of the Poppystamps team! I hope I live up to my name (which means inspiration in my native language, Telugu) and inspire you with my cards. My style is mostly clean and simple, but I’ll try to expand my comfort zone and provide different styles for more inspiration.

Tricia Barber
Diary of an Inky GirlI live in Georgia, just north of Atlanta. I have been making cards for over 10 years. I started card making when my two boys were young. It was a way for me to get creative and feel accomplished because I could actually complete a project! I made all their thank you notes, birthday invitations, you name it! I love doing all things crafty and have been crafty all my life (sewing, quilting, crochet, cross stitch – I have done it all) but would have to say that cardmaking has been the one crafty thing that I have done the longest! By day, I work in talent development and I have been with my organization for almost 30 years – so you can say I tend to stick with things! My kids are grown now and card making expanded from my creative outlet to connecting with others that enjoy this craft! My go to form of coloring is alcohol markers but I love to create cards and tags with stamps, inks and dies! I periodically teach cardmaking classes at local stamp store and the enjoy sharing this craft with others! I am excited to share my crafty creations with you!
