Good Morning Friends! I hope you all are doing well. I am excited to be back with you all today to share a Thank You card. I am always needing a thank you card... so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to get one made and hopefully share a little inspiration too. Let’s get started, shall we?

I started my card by creating my background. I used the Fractal Diamond Stencil and Distress Oxide Ink in Black Soot. I sprayed the back of my stencil with Pixie Spray to hold it in place, and applied my ink directly onto my stencil and card panel in an even motion. I just love the detail of this stencil!

I set my background aside and began working on my Thanks layered sentiment. I began by glueing .25 inch strips onto a piece of thin copy paper in rainbow order.

Next, I ran the strips through my die cutting machine with the Thanks Outline shadow die.

SavingPNG-10

Using the same Thanks Outline Die, I ran the top layer through my die cutting machine with white and black cardstock. I attached the two letters together, offsetting the black letter behind the white to create a shadow. Although the black shadow is a subtle detail, I think it helps my letters stand out a little more.

For my sentiment, I stamped You Are The Best from the You Are Awesome Stamp Set onto a black banner. I then added and heat set it with white embossing powder. This is such a great stamp set, it has the perfect sentiment for so many occasions.

To finish my card, I trimmed down my ink blended card panel and attached it to an A2 card base. Lastly, I attached my Thanks and sentiment banner to my card front with foam adhesive.

Thanks for joining me today! I will be back soon to share another project with you all.

Enjoy your day,

Good Morning Friends and Welcome! I hope you all are doing well and enjoying some spring weather wherever you may be.  Today, I am sharing a card that uses some of my favorite products from the latest spring release. Let's get started, shall we?

I started my card by die cutting the Grand Watering Can from Bristol Smooth Cardstock. I added Distress Oxide Ink in Hickory Smoke to create some depth and shading. Next, I used the Floral Cluster Dies. I ink blended Distress Oxide Ink in Mowed Lawn onto the vines and stems. I then die cut the floral images from Shimmering Cardstock (Twinkling Jewel Glitter Pad) in yellow. This glitter cardstock cuts like butter, and adds the perfect amount of sparkle.

SavingPNG-4

For my card panel, I used the Ring Tile Stencil from Birch Press Design. I used a soft yellow ink to create a subtle background.

SavingPNG-3

Next, I attached a one inch piece of black and white patterned paper to my card panel. I then stamped my sentiment from the You Are Awesome Stamp Set onto a white strip and layered that onto my polka dot strip.

SavingPNG-1

To finish my card, I trimmed my card panel down and mounted it onto an A2 card base. I attached my Grand Watering Can to my card front with foam adhesive. Lastly, I layered my Floral Cluster around the base of my watering can.

Thanks for joining me today. I want to wish you all a wonderful day. I will be back soon to share another project with you all.

For my card today, I started my creating my card panel. I ink blended my background with Distress Oxide Ink in Stormy Sky and Tumbled Glass. I then used the Whittle Cloud Border Dies and die cut my clouds from white cardstock. I stamped my sentiment from the Blooming Spring Stamp Set onto my bottom cloud border. Next, I attached my clouds to my ink blended background to finish my card panel.

SavingPNG-4

Next, I did all of my die cutting. I die cut the Whittle Gator from Bristol smooth cardstock and ink blended it with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink. I then used the Raining Frame to die cut my umbrella from a piece of Shimmering Cardstock. I am in love with this cardstock, it adds the perfect amount of sparkle without all of the mess of glitter.

SavingPNG-2

To finish my card, I hooked my umbrella onto my gator's tail and attached them to my card panel with foam adhesive. The little gator attached to my sparkly umbrella just makes me smile!

For my card today, I started by die cutting the beautiful Adriana Wreath from the white cardstock. Don't you just love all of the detail that this wreath has? It is so pretty!

SavingPNG

Next, I used the small flowers from the Floral Cluster Die Set. I die cut them in a variety of papers from the Rinea Floral Variety Pack. Although this paper is foil, it cuts beautifully in a standard die cutting machine.

SavingPNG-4

For my sentiment, I die cut the label from the Adriana Pop Up Easel Set. Next, I used the Colwell Label Set to die cut two more labels. These labels coordinate perfectly with the detailed labels included in the Adriana Pop Up Die Set. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment from the Birthday Blowout Stamp Set onto my label.

SavingPNG-3

For my card design, I attached my wreath to a soft gray card panel. I then added all of my little flowers to the wreath with a liquid glue. Lastly, I layered my sentiment with some foam adhesive and attached it to the bottom of my card.

SavingPNG-5

I think the foiled paper is the perfect touch, so pretty! Thanks again Rinea for all of the fun paper packs you sent me. I can't wait to create with them again.

SavingPNG-2

Thanks for joining me today and I hope you enjoyed my card. I also wanted to wish you all a Happy Easter! If you are like our family, your Easter will not be "typical" this year. We will be home with just our immediate family, doing our part to stay healthy. Take care my friends and I will be back soon to share another project with you all.

04-20 copyPSC#67 Puddle Jumping - April Showers bring May Flowers!  Anyone who says sunshine brings happiness hasn't danced in the rain.  Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass it's about learning to find the beauty in all things.   There has to be a rainbow somewhere behind the storm clouds!  As most of us are confined to our homes at the moment, it's about reconnecting with loved ones and making the most of our time together.  It's time to dig out the board games and family movie classics, have more family nights and appreciate the good things that  we have.

This month we're puddle jumping.. pulling out the boots and umbrellas, watching the flowers begin to sprout from the ground and laughing at the ducks making the most of the smallest pool of water.   Want to make a splash?  pull out the watercolors!   Cards, tags, treats, page layouts and home decor are all welcome just be sure to include at least one Poppystamps image (die cut, stencil, or stamp) on your project.

Need a little inspiration?  Here are some samples from our design team.  Want a closer look?   No worries.. we'll be featuring these projects on Wednesdays throughout the month, so you can see how each project was created.

Blog Blitz Thank You Card
by Dana Kirby

SavingPNG-9

Hello Friends! It is Dana here today with a Thank You card to share with you all.  We are continuing with our Blog Blitz today, so remember to leave a comment down below. Today you will have the chance to win the Colwell Label Set. This is such a great set of labels and a basic die set that you will want to add to your collection! Let's get started, shall we?

I started my card by spraying the back of the Chrysanthemum Stencil with Pixie Spray (from Therm O Web) to hold the stencil in place. Then I used purple tape and masked off the leaves on the stencil. This step took a little extra time but it was definitely worth it in my opinion. Once I started adding my ink I did not have to worry about the leaves, because I knew they were covered or masked off.

SavingPNG-6

I added Distress Oxide Ink in Mustard Seed and Carved Pumpkin to the Chrysanthemum. Once I was finished I removed the purple tape.

SavingPNG-7

I then lined the stencil back up over the Chrysanthemum and masked off the flowers.

SavingPNG-5

I added Distress Oxide Ink in Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn to the leaves. I once again removed the stencil and the purple tape. Once my card panel was finished I lightly spritzed it with water and set it aside to dry for a few minutes.

SavingPNG-4

Next, I trimmed my card panel down a bit to A2 card size. I then used a die from the Colwell Label Set and die cut a label from the bottom left corner of my panel. I stamped my sentiment from the You Are Wonderful Stamp Set directly onto the label.

SavingPNG-10

I then mounted my stenciled card panel onto my A2 card base. I added a little foam adhesive to my label and inlaid it back into the opening on my card panel.

SavingPNG-11

To finish my card, I die cut a green frame with the Pointed Rectangle Frame Die. I then added the frame to my card front. I love the way the frame finishes the edges on my card and ties everything together. Lastly, I added a few Lemon Drop Jewels to my card front as a finishing touch.

SavingPNG-8

Over the weekend I had some time, so I decided to use the Romantic Blooms Stencil and make a "bonus" card to share with you all. This time I just placed the stencil directly onto my card panel and ink blended Distress Oxide Ink with a rainbow of colors. I actually didn't even add ink to my sponges, I just used the leftover ink that had accumulated. Super quick and easy!

SavingPNG-5

Thanks for joining me today. I hope I inspired you to give the new stencils a try...I promise you won't be disappointed!
