So Thankful For You
by Dana Kirby

SavingPNG-2

Hello Friends! It is Dana here today and I am happy to be back sharing another card with you all. Are you loving the New Release? There are so many great things for spring...I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to use first.

For my card today, I decided to use the Country Garden Wheelbarrow along with the Floral Cluster Die Set. I cut them both out of cardstock and added a little ink to my die cuts with a small finger dauber. I have found these small finger daubers work great on small die cuts. On the Wheelbarrow I added some kraft ink around the edges to give it a little dimension and I added some dark gray ink to the wheel. For the flowers and vines I applied Distress Oxide Ink in some fun spring colors (Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron, Worn Lipstick, Carved Pumpkin and Mustard Seed). I also added a little Fairy Sugar in Berry Mist to the center of the flowers. Have you seen all the colors that the Fairy Sugar comes in? I am in love with it!! It adds just the perfect little touch.

Next, I began working on my card panels. I started by ink blending a little aqua ink onto a piece of white cardstock. I stamped my sentiment from the You Are Awesome stamp set directly onto my panel. I then used a little liquid glue to assemble my wheelbarrow and flowers, and once again I added it to my card panel. Don't you just love all the detail this die creates?

To finish my card, I added a hibiscus cardstock mat behind my card front. Lastly, I mounted everything onto a piece of patterned paper from the Cottage Meadow Paper Pad before attaching my card panel to an A2 card base.

Thanks for joining me today! I can't wait to see what you all create with the latest release.

Happy Crafting!

Graceful Heart
by Dana Kirby

SavingPNG-6

Hi Friends! I hope you all are doing well and having a Wonderful month. I am excited to be back today sharing a thank you card with you all. If you are like me, you never have enough thank you cards, so I always try and create a few when I have a little extra time.

SavingPNG-8

I started my card by creating my Alcohol Ink background. (Colors: Botanical, Sublime and Envy). I actually created two backgrounds. When I get the mess out for Alcohol Inks I usually create multiples. I did one background where I added the ink along with Blending Solution to a felt square and wiped it across my Yupo paper. I did the other one by using the same felt square but instead of wiping it across the Yupo I dabbed it onto the Yupo.

SavingPNG-3

Both background would work for my card, but I decided to use the one where I wiped the color across my Yupo. Next, I used the Grace Heart Frame Die and die cut it from white cardstock. This is such a gorgeous die...

SavingPNG-9

I attached my die cut frame to my Yupo paper with liquid glue. I then used the heart die cut and stamped my sentiment (from the Art Deco You Are Wonderful stamp set) directly onto the heart. I inlaid the heart back into the frame with foam adhesive.

To finish my card, I added a few clear sparkling jewels.

Thanks for joining me today and I will be back soon to share another project with you all.

Let's get started with my card, shall we?

SavingPNG-10

I started my card by creating my background. I used the Memory Box stencil, Drifting Hearts. I added Distress Oxide Ink (Worn Lipstick, Squeezed Lemonade and Tumbled Glass) to my background and then used the same colors along with the stencil to create a tone on tone effect.

SavingPNG-8

Next, I used the Love Heart die to die cut three hearts out from my card panel. I then attached my card panel to my stenciled background so the soft colors were showing through behind the hearts to create a soft pretty background.

SavingPNG-9

I die cut the Whittle Panda from white cardstock and used Copic markers (N2 and RV 10) to color the details. I then attached the adorable little panda inside the hearts. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment onto the bottom of my card panel before attaching everything to my A2 card base.

SavingPNG-11

I hope you get a chance to play along with our challenge this month!! You have until the 28th to enter... I can't wait to see what you create! And you never know, you just might be the lucky winner.

Banded Hearts
by Dana Kirby

SavingPNG

Hi Friends! It is Dana here today and I am sharing a Valentine's Day card using a few dies from the latest release at Poppystamps. I loved so many things from this release, it was hard to decide what I wanted to share! How about you? What is your favorite?

SavingPNG-5

I started my card by die cutting the Banded Hearts Die from white cardstock. I then die cut it again from a variety of colors...just look at all of those colorful little hearts!

SavingPNG-1

Next, I attached the Banded Hearts die to my A2 card base with a little liquid glue. I then inlaid all the hearts back into the die. This is a favorite technique of mine. I love the clean look that inlaying the negative pieces back into the die creates.

SavingPNG-2

To finish my card, I die cut the Love Flourish die from soft gray cardstock 3 times. I stacked them together for a little dimension and stability. Lastly, I attached my stacked sentiment to my card front.

SavingPNG-4

I hope you enjoyed my card today! I think this Banded Hearts die will make a beautiful wedding card...I can't wait to give it a try. Thanks for joining me today and I will be back soon to share another project with you all.

Valentine Fun
by Dana Kirby

SavingPNG-5

Good Morning Friends! It is Dana here again today sharing a set of Valentine's Day cards with you all.

SavingPNG-3

I started my card by using the Grid Heart Frame Die. I ran it through my die cutting machine two times, once with white cardstock and once with glittered cardstock.

IMG_6249

I then attached my Grid Heart Frame to my A2 card base and inlaid all the little hearts back into the frame with liquid glue.

IMG_6250

Next, I cut a piece of white cardstock .75 inches wide and covered the third row of hearts. * I did this to allow my sentiment to stand out and not be distracted by the hearts showing through to my sentiment. I then used the Valentine's Fun stamp set and stamped my sentiment onto a piece of vellum. I wrapped this around my card panel and attached it to the back with a piece of tape.

SavingPNG-4

I just love how I was able to create two cards with two passes through my die cutting machine.

SavingPNG-6

I am loving this die! I can't wait to create a rainbow of inlaid hearts in my next card.

Thanks for joining me today. I will be back soon to share another project with you all.
