For this month's challenge, our theme is "Good Day Sunshine", so we're looking for cards featuring sunshine and warmth for any occasion.

My card features the Whittle Racing Giraffe Kit.  I used a patterned paper from Glimmering Gladiola 6x6 paper pack for the background and framed the tall chap using a frame from Scalloped Stitched Frames.  The sentiment is from the Whittle Tropical Gator Kit.  I love how all the elements in each of these kits can be interchangeable.

Hey, y’all. What an honor it is to be chosen as a Guest Designer.  I live in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. I’m married to my best friend, have children, grandchildren and the best pet in the world. His name is Woolfie the Bear. He’s a stuffed teddy bear and he knows he’s not real. I’ve been making cards for close to 15 years.  I think it’s a lot of fun to teach other people how to make cards.  I wish that I could find card makers in my area so I could get together with them.

Challenge Reminder - Birthday Cake!

Floral Cake Pop Up Easel-Poppystamps-Jeanne JachnaHi Friends!  I hope  you're having a great day!  I just wanted to remind you that there is still time to play along with this month's challenge.   On the first of every month we announce the challenge and you get most of the month to join us!  Just link up your design with an on line gallery like Flickr, Splitcoaststampers or Instagram.  We select one card that we like best as the monthly winner, and then randomly select one entrée as the winner of a $20 gift card to the store.

Floral Cake Pop Up Easel-Poppystamps-Jeanne Jachna-CU2This month's challenge is called "Take The Cake". We're looking for cards that feature cake, or celebrating occasions where cake is appropriate like birthday, weddings, etc.  Basically we're looking for reasons to celebrate!

Floral Cake Pop Up Easel-Poppystamps-Jeanne Jachna-How ToI wanted my cake to have painted flowers on the side so I stamped this beautiful bouquet from Memory Box's Cheerful Floral stamp set on a piece of white cardstock and cut it with the bottom layer of the cake from the Floral Cake Pop Up Easel set.  I colored the flowers with alcohol makers.  I'm not a big "blender".  I like to color each petal in a different shade of color to a stained glass look.

Floral Cake Pop Up Easel-Poppystamps-Jeanne Jachna-CU1I added a Scallop Pinpoint Ring as a "doily" to set the cake on.  A simple Happy Birthday Poe Script in gold looks like icing on the cake.  I embellished the cake with Bunches O'Butterflies layered butterflies in yellow and topped with fairy gems.  Layer Cake Drip Icing in chocolate looks like ganache!

Floral Cake Pop Up Easel-Poppystamps-Jeanne Jachna-CU3The background is the white card base topped with a Penelope Pinpoint Frame in soft coral topped with a Pointy Lattice Plate in a darker shade.

Hello! I am Hilda Luevano.  I am married, we just celebrated our 35th anniversary, I am a mother to 3 boys and little more than a year ago I became a grandmother for the first time! Becoming a grandma is something that fills my heart with joy and happiness!

Since I was a child I really enjoyed doing crafts. I practiced scrapbooking without knowing what it was called, I've officially been scrapbooking and cardmaking for about 12 years now and I love it!  I really like cutting paper, card making and making boxes of all kinds.  I try to keep up with all crafts and new trends, I enjoy learning new techniques.  It’s my happy place, it’s very therapeutic for me.  Thanks to this magical hobby of crafting I have met wonderful people whom I love and from whom I have learned a lot, some personally, others virtually.

Geranium Gatefold & Challenge Reminder
by Birgit Norton

IMG_6771

Good morning Poppystamps friends!  Birgit here with you today sharing a card to remind you of the current challenge that's going on right now, themed "Bloom Where You're Planted".
IMG_6771

I enjoyed bringing out some older dies that are still available in the store, hoping to inspire you to pull out those older supplies and use them.

For my card, I brought out Brilliant Geraniums Flower Set and Picket Tall Curve Borders.
IMG_6771

I cut the flowers out of Blush 6x6 Solid Core cardstock and the leaves out of Greenery 6x6 Solid Core cardstock.  I added colored details and depth using copic markers.   I added sugared glitter to the outside edge of the flower petals and added Fairy Jewels to the centers of each of the flowers.

IMG_6771

On each of the gatefold flaps, I added a piece of cardstock from the Greenery 6x6 Solid Core cardstock and cut the Picket Tall Curve Borders out of the same color, adding them to both flaps.  This gives the look of a garden trellis in the background.  I added a white cardstock oval, gluing it to the left flap and adhered the geraniums, covering the oval.

I so enjoyed bringing out the tried and true dies that never go out of style for this challenge.  These geraniums are gorgeous in any color and they're so easy to assemble.   I hope I've inspired you today with this lovely geranium card.

Challenge Reminder

Hello there! I'm here today with a reminder that you still have time to play along in our Poppystamps Challenge. We're looking for your take on "Bloom Where You Are Planted". I've paired some of our pretty Nordic Fancy Blossoms with the perfect sentiment from the Colorful Life stamp set on my inspiration card.

After stamping the sentiment in the center of a vanilla card base, I framed it with the medium die from the Double Scalloped Stitched Frame set. The pretty paper is from the Anemone Grove paper pad available at our parent company, Memory Box.

Several of the Nordic Fancy Blossoms were cut using papers from the Sunny Orange paper pad. A few of the dies were cut with the same vanilla cardstock I used on the card base. I think these might just be my favorite of the Nordic flowers available in the shop! I love their size and shape! After arranging the flowers around the frame, I added a golden  butterfly and a few Fairy Jewels. It's a layered card, but still a clean and simple design.

I hope my sunny blooms have inspired you to join in our challenge! Two winners  are selected every month. One design is the favorite and the other is randomly selected to win a $20 gift card to the shop. You have a couple of weeks left to join us and we hope you do!
