Hello Poppy Peeps!

It's Sphoorti with a gentle reminder of this month's challenge - PSC#104 Flower Garden! Everyone knows that April showers bring May flowers and this month we're ready to put the long winter months behind us and take a stroll down a garden path. Show us fresh florals in any color of the rainbow because YOU decide what flowers grow in your personal crafty paradise! Projects can be for any occasion, and you're not limited to making cards. We welcome home décor, page layouts, tags and everything in between! It's your choice, just be sure to use at least one Poppystamps die on your project! You must use a Poppystamps product to be eligible to win!

This was my take on the challenge. Hope you like it!

I started with cutting some tulips using the 2557 Layered Tulips craft die. I used copic markers to color them in. I stepped out of my comfort zone and use warm colors instead of cool ones the way I typically do. Once I was done coloring them, I adhered the petals of the tulips together.

My original thought was to layer the tulips on the fold of the card that's sticking up (the one with the Hello on it). However, it didn't look / work the way I had imagined, so I adhered the tulips to the inner fold of the card so that they look like they're peeking from behind the front flap. I topped some of the petals of the tulips with some glossy accents for shine and some others with a shimmer pen for sparkle.

I used the 2509 Hello Moonlight Script craft die to cut the sentiment multiple times with plain white card stock, and then layered them on top of each other to get a chipboard type of feel. The die cuts are very delicate for this sentiment and a bit hard to work with, but so worth it! I topped the layered Hello with another Hello that I cut out of some red glitter card stock in the Festive Glitter Pad. I used the same glitter paper to cut out a very thin strip and adhered it to the edge of the front flap.

I adhered some jewels from the Bright Jewels sticker set on the right side of the sentiment et voila! What do you think?

Hi there Crafters! Candice here with a friendly reminder of this month's challenge - PSC#104 Flower Garden! It's your choice, just be sure to use at least one Poppystamps die on your projectmto be eligible to win!

For a bit of inspiration for this month's challenge, I created a monochromatic birthday card using the Petite Blooms Flower set and the Birthday Wishes Moonlight Script die set.

E13D2AA5-27E8-4443-8183-62E94E09F313

The flowers for my card where cut from white card stock, which I layered three differnt ways to create a floral cluster.  to embellish my card, I used the Fairy Gemstones and a few rhinestones from my stash.

The sentiment on the card was die cut from gold card stock and the shadow for the word was die cut from white cardstock. Some of the flowers were popped up with foam tape while others were gluded to my card front layer. The sentiment of course was popped up with foam tape.

This design is clean and simple, but packs a lot of punch. Although I made this into a birthday card, I can easily see how this card can be made for a wedding or anniversary.

I hope my card has inspired you to join in the monthly challenge. Need a little more motivation? How about a prize? The winner (chosen at random) of this challenge will receive a $20 Gift Certificate to spend on their favorites from the store!

You have until 12 am US EST on May 29 to link up your design here! We'll start a new challenge and announce the winners on June 1!!

Thanks for joining us! We can't wait to see what you make!

A Floral Hello Card
by Sphoorti

Hello Poppy Peeps!

It's Sphoorti again, and today I have a card which uses the 2552 Floral Vase Pop Up Easel Set craft die in a different way than intended. And this one's so easy to do, too!

B92B41CD-E77F-4D9B-B8D9-0AF225BEBCCB

I started by cutting up the some plain white cardstock with the bouquet (largest die) in the 2552 Floral Vase Pop Up Easel Set. I glued a number of them together to get the "chipboard" like feel. On the top layer, I blended some distress oxide inks to get a pastel rainbowy look.  I cut the bouquet stems in the middle so that I could make it look longer than it is, and I put the sentiment in the middle. For the sentiment, I used a hello die and layered a number of die cuts to get a chipboard feel there too. I topped it off with silver glitter cardstock. I used the same silver glitter cardstock to mat the card panel on the right and left sides.

I embellished the card panel with matching colors of pearls around the bouquet, and adhered it to the card base, and that was it! The only tedious part of this card was the die cutting, but everything else came together really fast and easy!

Country Barn Whittle Pig
by Meghan Kennihan

Final_3Hi Crafty Friends,
There is still time to enter the Poppy Stamps Challenge Cute Critters for the month of April. I created this cute Country Barn Easel card with my favorite Poppy Stamps Critter, the Whittle Pig.

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: What is your favorite farm animal?
A: Me? I love horses but this pig is just the cutest

Final_1
Final_1I used kraft paper for the base of my barn card easel to give it that rustic farm look and finished the inside with the "Enjoy Your Day" sentiment from the Poppy Stamps Birthday Blowout Stamp Set.

Challenge Reminder
by Lisa Elton

23 0303 010 copy

Hello! I'm here today with a reminder that you still have time to enter our April challenge. It's all about cute critters this month!

23 0303 009 copy

I framed up a couple of those cutie patootie Whittle Squirrels for a sweet spring card. They're surrounded with a few Little Posie Layered Flowers and hearts from the Hearts Jumble die. I wanted a delicate little leaf and found just what I needed in the Floral Cake Pop Up set.

23 0303 007 copy

When die cutting the Whittle Frames, I cut both the small and large from a mossy green paper then another set from white paper. I ink blended a soft blue sky for each squirrel to pose in!

We would love to have you join in the fun and share your cute critters in our challenge gallery!
