Hydrangea Hugs and Kisses
by Rachel Duong

IMG_7957

Happy Valentine's Day! It's Rachel here with a Valentine for you. Instead of the traditional Valentine colors, I forged ahead with soft beautiful colors and one of my favorite flowers, the hydrangea. I used the blossoms from the Poppystamps "Handpicked Bouquet" die set.

IMG_7957

I combined pale blue, lilac, chartreuse, teal, periwinkle and lavender to cut out the flowers. I randomly glued centers on each blossom. Next I die cut the leaves in 3 shades of green. All the colored cardstock I used is available for purchasing on the website under paper and 8.5 x 11 sheets. Then I cut out the heart border from the "Scallop Pinpoint Hearts" die set. (the largest one)

IMG_7957

I trimmed a pale blue cardfront to 4 x 5.25". I die cut the "Scallop Pinpoint Heart" out of the upper middle area. I cut out a periwinkle heart and glued it into the coordinating space inside the blue cardfront. To raise the border, a few extra scalloped hearts were adhered under the green heart.

IMG_7935

Then I arranged the blossoms and leaves inside the heart to form a hydrangea blossom! I glued them down and stamped the sentiment in lilac on a wavy greeting banner. The sentiment is grounded with two leaves underneath.

IMG_7935

I tied a pale blue organza ribbon on the lower left place on the heart border. There is something so pretty about a sheer texture. Finally, I embellished the card with Autumn Fairy Jewels --pale pink!

That's it for now, I hope you find my hydrandea card fresh and inviting.  Thank you for hanging with me and my unconventional valentine. Have a lovely day!

Layered Floral Congrats Tags
By Jyoti Adhikari

Creating handmade tags is a wonderful way to add a personal touch to any gift or celebration. Today, I’m sharing two beautifully layered tags—one in blue and green and the other in peach and orange. These tags feature delicate floral embellishments, a die-cut sentiment, and a layered design that gives them extra dimension. Let’s dive into the process of making these elegant tags!

Creating the Base Layers

96EEEFE2-0F16-4883-94E6-C7AC19452A34

To start, I selected two different color schemes—one in cool blue and green tones and the other in warm peach and orange. Each tag is composed of two layers: a smaller tag cut from patterned paper and a larger solid-colored tag to coordinate. The contrast between the patterned and solid cardstock helps the design stand out while keeping everything cohesive.

Adding the Die-Cut Sentiment

For a decorative touch, I used a Congrats Streamer Script  die to cut the sentiment along the side of the smaller tag. This technique adds an elegant detail and allows the solid background layer to peek through, enhancing readability.
Once both layers were die-cut, I adhered the smaller patterned tag onto the larger solid tag, ensuring the alignment was just right. The layered effect adds depth and makes the design more visually interesting.

Die-Cutting and Coloring the Flowers

To decorate the tags, I used the Daisy Trio Craft Die to cut multiple flowers from white cardstock. For a natural and vibrant look, I colored the flower centers yellow using COPIC markers. The bright centers bring a touch of warmth and contrast to the crisp white petals. I carefully placed the flowers on each tag, adhering some with glue for a flat effect and others with foam tape to add dimension.

Adding the Final Embellishments

To complete the tags, I added a few sparkling jewels as embellishments. These little details catch the light beautifully and give the tags an extra special touch.

These layered floral tags are perfect for celebrating a special occasion. The combination of patterned and solid cardstock, dimensional flowers, and a bold die-cut sentiment makes them both elegant and versatile. Whether used for a gift, party favor, or decoration, they bring a handmade charm that’s sure to be appreciated!

I hope you enjoyed this creative process. Which color combination do you like best—blue/green or peach/orange? Let me know in the comments!

Hugs,

Jyoti

A Birthday Bouquet
by Rachel Duong

IMG_7928

Hi everyone! It's Rachel here with a brightly colored spring floral card. I used the Poppystamps dies, "Handpicked Bouquet" and the "Celebration Banner". I absolutely love these dies and can't wait to create tons of floral arrangements.

IMG_7920

To create this card, I began by die cutting many colors of blossoms using the Poppystamps 8.5" x 11" paper packs in lovely gorgeous colors.  The paper is thick and cuts clean, I highly reccomend them. They are listed below and also on the website.

IMG_7920

. I narrowed down the colors  to work with.  For the wrap, I chose the darkest green. From here, I cut the flags in yellows, greens. I cut the base banner in white and adhered the flags on. I glued the blossoms together. Next comes the fun part of arranging the bouquet...it took some time because I wanted it just right!

I cut the patterned paper to leave a white border showing a small white border from the cardbase. The teal paired with the green wrap looked amazing to me. I glued the bouquet and banner onto the paper. Then I chose an Open Studio thick black gold foiled "Greeting Tab".  I grounded the sentiment over two leaves and overlapped it on the wrap. Added extra cardstock under the last half of the sentiment balanced out it's height.

Lastly, I glued one tulip blossom falling down from the bouquet to fill in the empty space and to give it movement.  I added Open Studio  "Fairy Jewels" in a light teal surrounding the bouquet.

I hope you are inspired to make a card today! The Poppystamps "Handpicked Bouquet" is a must-have. The possibilities are endless. Until next time, wishing you lots of crafty vibes!

Hugs
by Lisa Elton

Hello Poppy peeps, it's Lisa here today with a pretty little Valentine card to share. I've used the sweet Handpicked Bouquet die as the focal point of my card. Lets see how this came together!

I found an interesting little scrap of paper in my stash that was a little bit waxy. Perfect to wrap up a bouquet of fresh flowers! Next came the fun of adding the flower and greenery  to the wrap. I cut a few sprigs from glitter paper for a touch of sparkle.

Our wonderful Heartfelt Pinpoint Frame was the perfect background for my bouquet. I used that same glitter paper I mentioned then backed it with red cardstock from our Blush Core 6x6 paper pad.

Before adding the flowers to the card, I wanted to tie them up. The Little Bow and String die set had just what I needed. The smaller of the two dies has the string. I wrapped it around the back of the bouquet to the front then added the larger portion of the bow. A tiny Fairy Jewel hides the seam.

I chose our Hugs Moonlight Script die as my sentiment and backed it with a vellum shadow. Now that I think of it, this card would work well for more than just a Valentine. I can see using this for an anniversary, birthday, get well, thinking of you... so many options!

I showed this to my husband and his reaction was "Oh, that's pretty! Save this one for me, I have an occasion coming up that  I need it for." What do you think, will he use this as my Valentine or maybe our anniversary??!! He's so cute!

Lovely Thanks
by Birgit Norton

IMG_8200Taking time to make a heartfelt thank you card after the busyness of the Christmas season is a great way to show your appreciation to those you love.

I've made a quick and easy, CAS card for such an occasion.

IMG_8199I started by cutting the Simple Floral Bundle out of white cardstock, coloring the flowers, leaves and stems using Copic markers.

I made an A2 size top folding card base and covered the front with black cardstock.  This cardstock has a slightly raised texture and really makes a dramatic background for these colorful flowers.

IMG_8202I then assembled the flowers onto the front panel of the card, using the image on the cover of the die cuts as a guide.  This took all the thinking out of making this card, making it super quick and easy.

IMG_8201To finish the card off, I added one of the Black Greeting Thank You Tabs.  These little chipboard tabs make adding the perfect sentiment a breeze.

The colors of the flowers and greens pop against the deep black background and make for a stunning CAS design.  The perfect way to show your thanks.

White on White!
by Sphoorti

IMG_4220

Hello Poppy Peeps!

It's Sphoorti again! With December's snow and wintery vibes, I decided to create a white-on-white card. It involved quite a bit of die cutting, but I had a blast putting it together! And the best part is - you can use any die set you have that can cut flowers!

IMG_4218

I began by die cutting a bunch of flowers from white cardstock using the 2622 Flower and Leaf Sprinkles die. I also used some of the floral dies from the 2469 Floral Vase Popup Die Set. It helped speed up the flower die-cutting process. Next, I cut out some rings with the 2613 Nordic Pattern Ring die set. To make it easier, I added double-sided adhesive to the back of the rings, which allowed me to stick the flowers down without needing liquid glue.

IMG_4216

To give the flowers some dimension, I used a blunt-ended pointy tool and gently pressed on the centers of the flowers while they were resting on a mouse pad. This helped them "pop" a little more. After that, I adhered the flowers to the Nordic rings and added pearls to some of the flower centers for a bit of extra elegance.

IMG_4218

Once the rings were attached to my card base, I felt like the white space needed a bit more texture. So, I turned to the 2609 Scallop Pinpoint Rings die set and cut out a few additional rings from the same white card stock. These went into some of the open areas to balance out the design.

IMG_4214

Finally, I added a leftover sentiment from the PSF808 Modest Greetings 2 Hot Foil Plate and Die, which I had foiled in gold on plain white card stock. And that was it!

IMG_4213

It’s got a bit of a wedding card feel, don’t you think? While I don’t have any weddings coming up, I kept the sentiment general. What do you think of the finished look?

Hope you liked the card! Thank you for visiting! Please be sure to post a comment, we love seeing them!

Love,

Sphoorti
