Have a Magical Day
by Lisa Elton

When you think of Halloween colors, your mind usually goes to orange and black. I've added lavender to those traditional colors today to mix things up!

I started by adding the Pointy Lattice Plate die cut to the largest of the Double Scalloped Stitched Frames. After a little trimming, they were adhered to a white card base.

The Witches Shoe makes a fun focal point for this card. Make it sparkly... even better! A trio of spiders from the Whittle Creatures are crawling around while a happy little jack-o-lantern hides in the corner!

I got a bit creative with the sentiment. I did some selective inking for the words (Whittle Rainbow Unicorn Kit) and topped them off with big sparkly letters from the Marzipan Alphabet set.

A little sparkle and a little fun. I hope I've inspired you to get creative today. Thanks for visiting us here on the Poppystamps blog!

Spooky Day
by Tricia Barber

Spooky 1

Hello!  Tricia here with you today to share a Spooky Halloween card using a softer color palette.   I have seen so many cards this year with this type of color combination and just had to give it a try.  I started with a pink card base, masked off some stripes using post it tape and ink blended with a darker pink ink.   I trimmed the panel to 4 inches by 5 1/4 inches.   I layered this onto a white card base.

Spooky 3

I got out some scraps of light purple, pale yellow, some light oranges and pink cardstock.  My cat, of course, had to be black!  I used the Whittles Napping Cat and the Whittles Scary Guys to die cut several images using my scraps of cardstock. The moon and stars came from the Whittle Rainbow Unicorn kit.   I embossed the stars with glow in the dark embossing powder! So cool!

Spooky Glow

My sentiment was created with the Marzipan Alphabet die and I used a sentiment from the Whittle Rainbow Unicorn kit.  I die cut the Marzipan Alphabet letters from black and white cardstock and then stacked them onto each other.  I used some scraps to add the eyes to the Spooky!  I just love how it turned out!  Just by adding the word Spooky to the sentiment it turns into a Halloween sentiment!

Spooky 2

I hope I have inspired you to try a different color palette and look at your everyday stamps to create a Halloween card!   Have a wonderful day!

Twisted Witches Shoe
by Meghan Kennihan

Final_3 (2)Hi Crafty Friends,
It's almost SPOOKY SEASON! I'm getting started early with this bewitching card featuring Poppy Stamps Whittle Witch and Witches Shoe.

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: What is your favorite witch movie?
A: Me? Witches

Final (2)

I started my card by creating an inky blended background with Distress Oxide Inks Wilted Violet, Black Soot, and Twisted Citron. Then I splattered it with white Copic Opaque Paint and Distress Oxide Black Soot Ink.

Final (2)I framed my scene with the inside die of the Scalloped Stitched Frame Die. Then I place the Twisted Houses and little witch along the bottom of the frame and added green Fairy Jewels to her cauldron like the potion she is making is boiling over.

Final_2 (2)I finished my card by adding the EEK sentiment in black with a fluorescent green shadow using the Marzipan Alphabet Dies.

Another Clean and Simple All-Die Cuts Card!
by Sphoorti

CC52BB62-1F48-4D0F-B882-EDAA1AFE2300

Hello Poppy Peeps!

It's Sphoorti again! Remember my post from the other day? I made another card that's very similar with the extras I had leftover, and stepped it up just a bit.

This one's also clean and simple, and completely made with just die cuts. No stamping whatsoever!

I ran the 2464 Marzipan Alphabet craft die multiple times through my Big Shot. All my alphabets were connected, so I ran them through to save time for the next time I might need some alphabets. I stacked a few letters together (just random ones, but with at least two glued together for extra dimension). I stacked the letters H and E and Y about five times for some extra dimension. I used Candied Apple and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks to color the H, E, and Y.

I cut some silver mirror card stock using the 2478 Scalloped Stitch Frames craft die and adhered one of the frames to my card panel.

Then I used the 2530 Large Stitched Envelope and Postage craft die to cut an envelope out of vellum. I kept the top flap of the envelope open. I adhered some alphabets inside the envelope and also foam mounted the envelope by adhering some foam tape discreetly behind the alphabets in the envelope.

I took the colored H, E, and Y, and adhered them in a way that it looks as if they're coming out of the envelope. I coated them with glossy accents for some shine.

The card looked a little barren to me, so I adhered a bunch of little enamel hearts in red and white coming out of the envelope. And that was it!

Clean and Simple All-Die Cuts Card!
by Sphoorti

Hello Poppy Peeps!

It's Sphoorti, and I have a very clean and very simple card for you today - all made with just die cuts, and no stamping! And all you need is one set of dies, i.e. the 2464 Marzipan Alphabet craft die!

5717A4F9-4995-4D22-9D66-37AE191339F9

Although very clean and simple and easy to make, this card requires a lot of die cutting. It's not for the faint of heart. But not to worry at all - just grab a comfortable chair, play an old sitcom you like (I personally opted for The Big Bang Theory), and die-cut away! It'll go by very fast!

I ran the 2464 Marzipan Alphabet craft die multiple times through my Big Shot. All my alphabets were connected, so I ran them through to save time for the next time I might need some alphabets. I stacked a few letters together (just random ones, but with at least two glued together for extra dimension). I stacked the letters H and I about five times for super dimension. I used Candied Apple and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks and colored the H and I.

At first I planned to scatter the letters all over the card panel (with no rhyme or reason) around the letters H and I.

A

But I'm a control freak and not too big a fan of chaos. I used some washi tape and attached the letters H and I at an angle at the bottom of the card panel. Then I glued the remaining letters in front of, behind, above, and below. Nicely and evenly distributed and arranged and ended up with this.

B

I felt like something was missing, so I used some glossy accents for the H and the I. I still felt like something was missing, so I scattered some heart stickers and felt much better!
