Hello, and welcome to my reminder... a reminder that there's a challenge you don't want to miss! ABC or Anything But a Card.

DSC_0269_wm

3 tags for grandchildren going back to school. I'll pop these onto some new pencils or something fun that will start them off with a smile.

First, loosely watercolored my background on a taped down watercolor Cardstock. If you tape it down first, it will dry flat. Makes it much easier to work with.

After I stamped all my images, they were Copic colored and cut out.

Each tag was stamped with a sentiment and some waves, the given some bing with rainstones.

Specialized tags are a great way to say, 'You're special to me', and are so much fun to make. Hope you can play along this month. There's always a gift certificate to the Poppy store as the prize. And we love to see what you make. Have a great week!

Patriotic Otters
by Michele K. Henderson

IMG_6169-wm

Hello Friends!

Today I am sharing an adorable summer CAS card with the Patriotic Otters! Aren't they sweet? Take a look!

IMG_6165-wm

This is an easy breezy paper piecing card using the Whittle Otter and Heart Trio Showcase. Just cut out the otters and the squares and piece it all together, finishing with the Pointed Rectangle Frames. It's a fun way to add in a little patriotic color for the Fourth!

Thanks so much for dropping by today! Come back tomorrow for even more great inspiration and ideas.

Shaker Cupcake Toppers
by Olga

Hello and Happy 4th of July to all my US friends!

Hope you are having wonderful time - and here is the project to add to the holiday mood! I have made a trio of cupcake toppers (Stars and Stripes themed!) with a matching holder box. The toppers are actually shaped shakers filled with stars!

This project is not too time consuming and is a lot of fun to make. I guess it can also be adapted for Christmas or other events!

Patriotic Card
by Robin Tharaldson

PS April 30 CU2 With

I have a simple patriotic card to share with you today. I used scraps of cardstock to create my star strip, along with the Big and Little Star Border Layer dies from Poppystamps Spring Release!

My sentiment was made using Stitched Main Street Tags and Sending Love Stamp set.

Happy 4th
by Nancy Penir

DSC_0017

A big Happy 4th of July to all Poppy's American friends!

We celebrate the 4th with a traditional block party, including lots of bar-b-que, and friends.

Nancy here, and I'm sharing a card made with a new Poppy Stamps die called, Floribunda Collage.

They're flower images, but I love getting mileage from all my dies, and I know you do too!

1st, I made a stencil with the Floribunda die, cutting the image twice to cover the card front.

Then, sponge inked the stencil with Fired Brick and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Inks.

Kinda looks like fireworks!

Next, using Stitched Tunnel Tags, cut out the center, and center of the center.

Be sure to use the 2nd largest tag size, and the 4th largest to cut the stenciled card.

See how they're lined up on the magnetic sheet by size?

Perfect for the next step.

You're going to die cut the largest tag from blue card stock, and the 3rd largest die from

deep red card stock. For added dimension cut each tag 3 times, stacking and gluing together.

The 'Happy' and the 'th' are letters cut from Happy Birthday Background, first in white, then in dark blue.

I made the 4, first drawing what I wanted, applied red glitter, and when that was dry, added Glossy Accents.

Finished it off with sequins and some twine at the top. Looks like a firecracker, doesn't it?

Hope you enjoyed a look at one way to get more use from your dies,

and hope your day (and night) is full of fun!
