You Really Know How To Shine!

You really know how to shine! Hi there, it's Rachel here with a Poppystamps congratulations card. I used the brand new release along with tons of metallic paper! The "Congrats Streamer Script" dies, "Brilliant Birthday Balloons" dies and the "Balloons Celebrations" stamp set make up this fantastic card.
To create this card I die cut the "Brilliant Birthday Balloons" using shiny gold, silver, copper, red, fuschia and magenta metallic paper from the Memory Box "Rainbow Reflections Mirror Pad".
Next I cut red cardstock to an A2 size and glued it to a white cardbase. I chose patterned paper from The "Birthday Fun" double sided paper pad. I trimmed and glued white paper with gold dots leaving approximately a quarter inch of red border.
I arranged the balloons and when I found a display pleasing to my eye, I adhered them to the cardfront. I started with the large balloons and then placed the small ones so that they overlapped and the colors were balanced and easy to see. I also glued tails to each balloon.
I die cut the "Congrats Streamer Script" --red for the border and the patterned paper for the congrats. I added a few layers to make the word show dimension. I just love this font! Then I stamped the sentiment on red paper and embossed it in gold. I cut out each individual word. I arranged the words in a wonky column configuration and glued it down.
Here is the card almost complete. Did you see the words fell off the card? Tip--when glueing your pieces onto the metallic papers, make sure to allow extra time to secure and dry. This is the card before the last step. Some of us might want to stop here.
To complete the card I splattered bright gold metallic acrylic paint concentrating on the area above congrats". I covered the all the words before splattering and then removed the mask to add a few small specks of paint.
I love the brilliant shine when the balloons are illuminated with a light source. The effects make this card extra special!
