Nordic Times Three
By Lisa Elton

I was in a rush to get some Christmas cards made. You? So I set myself up a little assembly line and cranked out three cards in a jiffy. All three cards started with a vanilla card base, one of our pretty Nordic die cuts and a holiday greeting. I used just one 6x6 sheet of designer paper (MB) for all of them, accenting with a couple more bits and pieces of another.

Thumbnail_24 1112 002 copyI used gold paper from the Vintage Pastel Mirror pad for the sentiment and part of the ornament. It compliments the snippet of patterned paper (MB) making up the first layer on the ornament. The loops in the bow come in two pieces so you can add them to your liking.

Thumbnail_24 1112 004 copyThe Nordic Bell is the focal point for my second card. This time I cut the center of the decorative paper using the Scallop Pinpoint Rings. I added just the scalloped portion back in leaving the center open for the bell. The Lavish Merry Christmas, backed in vellum, was a good fit for the sentiment.

Thumbnail_24 1112 005 copyOnce again I used sage cardstock, gold Vintage Pastel Mirror paper and another snippet of designer paper (MB) for the bell. The Nordic dies come with a few layers. You can use them all, as I did, or not. It's up to you!

Thumbnail_24 1112 007 copyRemember that Circle left over from the previous card? Well, I added it here cutting another outer scalloped ring in vanilla to frame it. One of the cute Nordic Stockings takes center stage with some festive decorative paper behind it.

Thumbnail_24 1112 008 copyI created a neutral stocking so it didn't compete with the big pine pattern in the circle.

I do have a favorite Lisa but seriously, they are all FABULOUS! I love the color scheme you used with all of them and how beautiful the gold looks with the green! And what a great way to get 3 cards made all at once! Beautifully done my friend!! Hugs. :0)

Hi Lisa, I love all your three cards, but my favourite is No. 1, I absolutely love love love it. It is so elegant and so very impressive.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

What lovely designs and wonderfully color choices, Lisa. Those Nordic images are all so fancy and ready to decorate any card. I think my favorite is the bell although the others are fantastic too.

I'm having trouble picking a favorite! I love that Nordic ornament with the touches of Gold and the same with the bell! But then that stocking is adorable and all the backgrounds are pretty!

Fabulous trio of Nordic cards, Lisa - each so different using the same papers - love them!! As to a fave? The ornament one stole my heart - such a gorgeous patterned paper with the mint and gold!!

Oh, those pretty ornaments! The paper takes it next level. All three are clever designs, too. As a kid the bells were some of my favorite ornaments. Those and the birds which we clipped on the branches. Funny how I'm now sort of addicted to bird stamps and dies.

The papers you used make whatever you do with them sure to turn out beautifully. All of these cards are just wonderful and the gold is just perfect in bringing them up. notch. I am quite partial to the bell... they are all so wonderful though.

They're all wonderful, but I'm definitely partial to the ornament! Love every single element and the design! I think I may need to add some of these products to my stash!
