Nordic Bells
by Rachel Duong
Dashing through the snow... Fall is in the air but before long, the leaves will blow away and the snow will fall. Hi crafty friends! It's Rachel here with a colorful holiday card with musical bells taking center stage. I love the warm, cozy feels of this time of year. What better time to start crafting in preparation for all the hustle and bustle ahead?! The Poppystamps "Nordic Bell" is a definite "must have" die. If you keep scrolling, you will find one more card using these bells for another celebration.
To create this card I die cut the "Nordic Bell" in platinum, red and green glitter paper. I used gold mirrored cardstock for the bells. I glued the pieces together and set them aside. Next I chose a beautiful poinsettia printed paper and cut it just slightly smaller than a white A2 card base and glued them together.
I die cut the "Scallop Pinpoint Rings" in white and then again in a thick vellum. I glued the center pieces of white cardstock on the base and then the vellum circles over it. The last ring in white cardstock is glued over the vellum one. Finally I chose the "Jingle All The Way" gold foiled sentiment strip. I placed it under the bells, overlapping the circle.
I love this card and I can hear the bells ringing in the distance.
I made a second card using the Poppystamps "Nordic Bell" die in gold and silver. What a beautiful wedding card! It is classic, elegant and love the detail.
I die cut the bells in platinum glitter, gold and silver mirrored card stock and another gold bow from the Poppystamps "Nordic Wreath and Bow". Next I die cut the "Nordic Fancy Background" die in white and adhered it onto a creme A2 card base. Finally I chose a "Sending Warm Wishes gold foiled sentiment strip. This card is so pretty and just perfect for a happy couple! I love the background overlay die so much. It reminds me of beautiful lace.
The Poppystamp "Nordic Bell" die is timeless. I am excited to use it in many ways. One card that comes to mind is that if I know wedding colors ahead of the occasion, the bells can be personalized to match the wedding colors!
Until next time, enjoy your day and hope you have time to get crafty!
