Hello, Poppystamps friends! I am excited to be up on the blog today sharing some of the new products in the adorable new Spooktacular Release! These cat ghosts are too cute, right? I am also continuing to embrace this month's "Clean & Simple" challenge. Don't forget to enter for your chance to win a $20 gift card to the store! You can always click on the Challenge badge in the top right hand column of the blog.

I love these cats so much that I really just wanted to let them do their thing all on their own. And they couldn't be easier to create! One die cuts the cat bodies, which I cut from black card stock. And the other die cuts the ghost "sheets", which I cut from white card stock. A little bit of glue, and these guys are ready in minutes! All I had to do after that was ink blend a spooky night sky for them to pop against. I took some masking tape and created a straight line across a white A2 card base. This masking tape keeps the ink from getting on the lower part of the card. I used Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry, and Prize Ribbon Distress Inks to blend the sky.

I chose the "Feline Spooky" sentiment from the new Bugs and Hisses stamp set and stamped it with black pigment ink onto the white portion of the card base. There are so many fun/punny sentiments in this set! I popped my cats up on thin foam tape and secured them to the card. And, we're done! All of this white space can be scary if you're not used to making clean and simple cards. But, I think it can be really impactful, especially when you have something adorable to highlight, like these cats.
