Oink for Birthday Fun
By Meghan Kennihan

Final_9Hi Crafty Friends,
I'm sharing a darling Birthday Card using the Poppy Stamps Floral Cake Pop-Up Easel Die. I made for my father's birthday. He LOVES pigs and the Poppy Stamps Whittle Pig Die is my favorite animal of the Poppy Stamps Whittle Collection. This card is perfect for the Poppy Stamps August Challenge Anything Goes! I would love to have you join us! Later, this month I'll be showing off Christmas cards so it truly is ANYTHING GOES this month.

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: What is your favorite whittle animal?
A: Me? The Pig

Step #1: I started my card by die cutting the base of the Floral Cake Pop Up Easel out of kraft paper and using the Poppy Stamps Layer Cake Drip Icing in chocolate cardstock to mimic the mud that piggies love.

IMG_2710Step #2: I die cut the cake pieces out of shimmery light pink paper so that the metallic pigs would pop from it.

IMG_2710Step #3: I mounted all the pieces together so that I had my base cake to decorate with pigs and banners. I used the Poppy Stamps Vintage Mirror 6x6 Paper Pad and die cut 3 of the Poppy Stamp Whittle Pigs in a darker shade of pink and mounted them on each layer of the cake and one on the inside.
