Hot Foiling Galore and Christmas in July!

Hello Poppy Peeps!
It's Sphoorti again, and today I have four cards to show you, each created using hot foiling techniques. These were made almost two years ago—time flies! I completely forgot to write a blog post about them. While some of the products I used have been retired, there are still some adorable ones available. Grab 'em before they disappear!

Backgrounds:
Let's start with the backgrounds. For my first and favorite card, I hot foiled some white card stock using the Leaf and Tendril Hot Foil Plate using some Opal foil. This stuff is magic! For the other three - did you know you can hot foil with your existing dies? I used the 2489 Snowflake Background craft die to foil ink blended cardstock. The result was this thin but beautiful outline of the snowflakes.
Card Components:
I did a ton of diecutting for these cards, and I even have leftovers to create more! Essentially, I used dies to cut out envelopes, pine needles, poinsettias, and holly leaves. The envelopes were cut from vellum, while the other components were cut from white cardstock and colored using distress inks, or from glitter and foil pads (listed in the supplies section). Then came the fun part—at least for me—assembly! It was incredibly enjoyable arranging the needles, leaves, and flowers as if they were emerging from the envelopes.
Sentiments:
I also did plenty of diecutting for the sentiments. I used sentiment dies like Hello and Joy, although they are no longer available. You can find similar options linked in the supplies list below. Essentially, I cut multiple versions of each sentiment from plain white cardstock and layered them to achieve a chipboard-like effect. I finished off the sentiments with a layer of glitter or foil. For the shadows on the Joy cards, I used vellum.
Embellishments:
Can we ever call a card complete without some embellishments? I went wild with all the goodies I had on my desk at the time—Jewels, Drops, Pearls, Crystals... you name it! It was like a bling buffet for my cards, and it was the holidays, so why not make every card feel like a celebration, right?
