A Moose Celebration
by Rachel Duong

Hi to all! It's Rachel here with an a-M00se-ing Poppystamps card.  I am super excited about this Nordic Wonderland release... I just love it!  The "Nordic Moose" die I used is great on its own and also comes with a sweater for the winter months.  I skipped it for now since I wanted my card to throw out summer vibes.

To create this card I die cut all the pieces out of  the Poppystamps  "Large Mushroom House", the "Nordic Dimple Trees" and the "Nordic Moose".

I loosely painted the pieces in bright, bold hues. I used Prang watercolor paints. After they were dry, I glued them together to form the images.

Using white woodgrain paper, I ink blended brown and teal distress inks over the surface. (listed below) Teal in the center and brown tones around the perimeter. I glued the woodgrain paper to a kraft cardbase and then the images to the cardfront. Because they are overlapping, some of the pieces required extra cardstock underneath areas where the image was not level.

Also I gave the moose extra layers to reinforce the legs and antlers. This definitely gave it a stronger appearance. This is what it looks like underneath.

Finally I stamped the sentiments-- "It's Your Day " in brown and "Let's Celebrate" in teal. I watercolored the latter. I glued them down allowing parts of the banners to stay lifted off the paper.

This card was so much fun to create. I hope you enjoyed it. If you are not fond of watercoloring, this card can be made with solid sheets of colored cardstock.

Please take a look at the new Poppystamps release. It is fantastical and filled with nature's treasures! You won't be disappointed. Thanks for stopping by, see you very soon.
