Did you know a group of giraffes boasts diverse names? It can be called a tower, herd, kindergarten, troop or a kaleidoscope of giraffes. When on the move, they can be referred to as a journey. Whatever you call them, this particular herd from the Whittle Racing Giraffe Kit is pretty darn cute! They're just milling around among the trees, their heads in the clouds enjoying summer life.
After die cutting all of the giraffes and trees I played around with placement in little groups. I tucked the giraffes into one of the trees and used a bit of scotch tape on the back to hold things in place. Once I had it the way I liked it, liquid glue was applied for the permanent bond. Then I adhered the two tree groupings together with the clouds added for the finishing touch. This all went onto an ink blended panel.
This little speedster was put together for the inside of the card. He represents a little boy from our son and daughter-in-law's neighborhood who comes over to play along with other neighborhood kids. He's about five or six years old. When playtime is over he ALWAYS has the same goodbye to the group....

I have always thought giraffes were cute and you just confirmed that with this darling card, Lisa. Their heads peeking over the tops of the trees is adorable. And yes, the inside is fun and funny.
This is the most fun, Lisa! Tee hee! I love both the front and the inside, especially that it's made with the one little boy in mind. I didn't know that about all the names for giraffe gangs. I'll have to try and choose one to stick with, but my favorite is "journey" for when they're on the move. How cool

This card is so much fun, and even more so, hearing the back story. I love this little cluster of giraffes, among the treetops and clouds. So adorable. But the inside really tops it off and yes, gave me a huge belly laugh! Wonderful card!
