Corner Shop Pop-Up Easel Card
by Birgit Norton
I would love to live in a world where the streets are lined with darling shops like this! Wouldn't you? Birgit here with you today sharing a pop-up easel card using Corner Shoppe Pop-up Easel Set as well as coordinating die sets from the latest release. Let's jump right in to the details!
To begin with, I cut the pop-up die panel out of 80# white cardstock and folded on both of the score lines, to create the easel part of the card.
Next, cut one card front panel and adhere it to the small flap of the easel, using a strong double sided tape or liquid glue. Now, let the fun begin! Let's build the shop.
I cut the store front out of a piece of blue cardstock from the 6x6 Lagoon Solid Core Cardstock. I love the weight and thickness of this cardstock and it cuts like butter using Poppystamps dies.
I cut the detail pieces of the shop out of white cardstock and added color using Distress inks and blending brushes. A helpful tip: keep your cardstock pieces inside the dies, to use them as stencils. Poppystamps is brilliant in their designs!
Next, I cut elements from Corner Shoppe Wooden Cart and Flower and Leaf Sprinkles and colored them using my copic markers. I then arranged all of the planters using liquid glue.
Now it's time to decorate the shop!
A card like this deserves special attention on the inside, so I added a piece of decorative paper from my scrap bin and cut a white cardstock square to give the easel something to rest against to hold the easel open. For a finishing touch, I added the window box from the set. It adds a nice detail but leaves plenty of space for me to personalize this beautiful card.
Here's a pictures that shows the completed easel card in action.
I had so much fun building this flower shop easel card! I hope you'll give it a try!
