A Flower Shoppe Thank You!
by Rachel Duong

Hi everyone! It's Rachel here to share a thank you card I made. I used the Poppystamps "Corner Shoppe Flower Pot Shelves" and "Flower and Leaf Sprinkles" die sets. I had the best time watercoloring these awesome plants and pots.

I die cut the shelves, plants and pots out of watercolor paper. Using distress inks in shades of green, teal, browns, reds and yellow, I loosely painted the pieces allowing colors to run into one another. What a delight!

Next I die cut the larget circle from the "Simple Rings" die in a nice peach cardstock Memory Box "Sunny Orange" cardstock pad. I die cut it again in a heavy vellum for the outline it automatically cuts with the circle. I die cut the "Snowglove Bases" set in kraft and I decided to used the smaller base. I blended brown distress ink over the base.

Then I picked out a soft plaid paper for the background. It is so pretty and the dark lines are purple. I adhered the patterned paper to a white card base leaving a thin white border. I adhered the globe over the plaid paper.

I spent quite a bit of time arranging the plants and pots on the shelves. I moved the pots around and a tip is to take pictures of the final arrangement to look at for reference. It comes in handy when gluing the pieces down.

Then I glued the foil tab on the base and added coordinating purple Fairy Jewels.  Finally I wrapped burlap twind at the fold of the card. That's it and so many sentiments can go on this card!

This card was such a joy to create. I love gardening so working with paper plants just makes me happy! Yay! Please take a look at Poppystamps latest release. The dies are amazing and the pieces work together perfectly.

Have a great day and see you very soon!
