It's a Specail Day

Once a floral designer, always a floral designer! Imagine the joy I had when I discovered this pretty little Corner Shoppe Wooden Cart in the latest release. I knew immediately I would turn it into a flower cart. I didn't have a cart like this in my floral shop, but I would have loved a life sized one! The sentiment, from the Birthday Banners set, reflects the way I felt when I saw this darling new die. Let me take you back to the beginning and show you the process.
After die cutting the pieces for the cart, I colored some of them with Copic markers. The handles for the flower buckets are shiny silver paper. Next came the largest of the pretty Scallop Pinpoint Rings. It was cut from ivory cardstock. The center portion was ink blended with a soft blue.
I added these elements to an ivory card base that was covered with a Cortina Pinpoint Plate die cut panel. It's pretty as it is, but flowers made it even better!
The new Flower and Leaf Sprinkles die has a wonderful assortment of little blooms and sprigs. As you can see, I layered them up in the buckets, on the cart and on the ground. You can never have too many flowers! Also new in the shop is the Bunches O' Butterflies die. The sweetest little butterflies just the right size to visit my flower cart!

This wonderful little flower cart is just the sweetest. I did not know you were a floral designer, but it makes sense with your eye for design and color. Every little detail of this project is wonderful right down to those tiny butterflies. What a special creation, Lisa. I could not love it more.
