Have A Magical Day
by Lisa Elton
Today is about looking at your dies in new ways! I've used two dies, normally used for for other purposes, to created something completely new. Lets take a look at what the pretty Scallop Pinpoint Hearts and Flowing curves dies have become, shall we.
Ta-Da... a shamrock! The hearts were die cut from green and gold plaid paper (Anemone Plaid by Memory Box) then adhered on a slimline marshmallow card base to form the shamrock. A fancy shamrock needs a fancy stem. Enter the Flowing Curves die!
The curves of the scallops on the hearts left a little opening where the three came together. I popped a Fairy Drop on to conceal it. A few more were sprinkled about the card for good measure! I found the perfect sentiment in the Whittle Wild Animals Sentiments set.
The playfulness of the curvy stem called for more added whimsy. A trio of sweet little Nordic Butterflies fit the bill nicely! They were created using deep green cardstock for the bottom layer and vellum for the top. The vellum was glued just in the center so the wings could be lifted.
I hope my playful card has inspired you to look at your dies differently and to create something fun. Thanks so much for stopping by today. We love it when you do!

Oh wow--so creative and absolutely love this card, Lisa! I was just trying to remember how I made a shamrock years ago and I bet it was with hearts. The fancy stem puts this over the top! Love how you did the butterflies, too!
So clever, Lisa! LOve your wonderful Shamrock! Like Linda, I made one with hearts years ago - thanks for this lovely reminder!
