Springtime Sparklers
by Michele K. Henderson
Hello Poppystamps Friends!
It's time for a little spring sparkle with a pretty little Nordic Fancy Blossom and Small Stained Glass Butterflies created with glitter paper. Take a look!
I love the charming, oval shapes of the new Nordic Fancy Blossoms die. They remind me of a tiny snowdrop crocus pushing it way through the last little bit of melting snow. I started with a bright pink card base background, and then cut pieces of the flower and the butterflies in pieces of glitter and shiny white.
When I first began playing with my card design, I thought I would use both Nordic Fancy Blossoms from the set, and add one butterfly and a heart. But the more I played around with the layout, I finally decided on one flower as the counterpoint, and two pretty butterflies in the sky. I added a few glitter inlays in the butterfly wings to really bring out the sparkle.
I used shades of glittery pink, coral, white, bronze, and gold to add a few curly twigs and leaves to my small shiny bloom. It turned out so fresh and bright, and I love how cheerful it makes me feel. A few tiny Fairy Jewels add the perfect finishing touch.
Thank you so much for joining us today!
