PSC#111 Challenge Reminder - Cool Yule!
by Sphoorti
Hello Poppy Peeps!
It's Sphoorti with a gentle reminder of this month's challenge - PSC#111 - Cool Yule! The holidays are officially here! Outside you'll find displays and outdoor decorations, and inside everything is comfy cozy! All of us at Poppystamps are wishing you a Cool Yule and want to see how you celebrate and create for the holidays. Happiness is home made after all! Are you adding home made tags to your gifts and baked goods? Maybe you're making some extra special cards for friends and family. We'd love to see what you're up to!
Projects can be for any occasion, and you're not limited to making cards. We welcome home décor, page layouts, tags and everything in between! It's your choice, just be sure to use at least one Poppystamps die on your project! You must use a Poppystamps product to be eligible to win!
This was my take on the challenge, and such a quick and easy one - you can totally mass produce this for the holidays! Hope you like it!
I cut a panel of white card stock using the 2574 Scandinavian Snowflake Plate craft die. I took some perfect pearls in the gold and perfect pearl color and made a solution out of them with water and sprinkled it all over the panel. Honestly, you don't even need to do this - the die is SO beautiful, it can be used fully clean and still make a huge impact. I just love the extra sparkle and shine.
I cut out a panel of glitter card stock from the GP1006 Festive Glitter Pad and adhered it behind the 2574 Scandinavian Snowflake Plate craft die cut panel.
Using some silver mirror cardstock from the FP1003 Rainbow Reflections Mirror Pad 6x6 pack, I die cut the innermost scalloped frame from the 2474 Double Scalloped Stitched Frames craft die. I took a piece of vellum and adhered it to the back of the frame.
Then I used the 2475 Small Freestyle Merry Christmas craft die to cut a few merry die cuts out of white card stock. I adhered them all together for dimension and the chip-board like feel. I topped the layered merry with another merry that I cut out of the same glitter card stock I used behind the 2574 Scandinavian Snowflake Plate craft die cut panel from the GP1006 Festive Glitter Pad. I absolutely LOVE this color, don't you?!
And actually, that was it! So easy-peasy!
Now it's your turn to take on the Cool Yule challenge! Need a little more motivation? How about a prize? The winner (chosen at random) of this challenge will receive a $20 Gift Certificate to spend on their favorites from the store! Remember - projects can be for any occasion, and you're not limited to making cards. We welcome home décor, page layouts, tags and everything in between! It's your choice, just be sure to use at least one Poppystamps die on your project!
Love,

Hi Sphoorti, I love your card, and I believe this could be an ideal batch-making card, I love the use of glitter card behind the snowflake plate background, and also genius to use vellum behind the sentiment which shows the snowflakes behind.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
