You are Truly Wonderful by Lisa Elton

I have placed a pot of geraniums on our front porch every summer for as long as I can remember. With the exception of a couple of years, they have always been red.  

The Brilliant Geraniums dies helped me to recreate those flowers to share with you today.

Just a few passes throught the die cut machine gives you all of the petals you need to put together pretty layered blooms.  A little drop of glue in the center of each layer allows you to lift the petals to give them fullness. The perfect spot for a butterfly to land!

My geraniums and butterflies were added to an inked woodgrain panel. The center was cut with an oval die from the Fern and Daisy Pop Up Easel set. That set had just the butterflies I needed to top off my card. They're cut from Mirror Paper. Once again glued only at their centers so I could lift their fancy wings!

The leaves were colored with Copics on green cardstock then I used the colorless blender to give them a more natural look. I didn't do anything extra to the geranium petals because, honestly, they look just like the ones one our porch... a deep beautiful red!

These geraniums are gorgeous! Much better looking than my straggly ones, although mine look better this year than they have in the past! The addition of the butterflies make this an extra-special summery delight!

I have bright red ones this year, Lisa! But WOW are these deep regal reds gorgeous! Love the oval window, woodgrain card, and OF COURSE your sweet little butterflies, too!

HI Lisa, A beautiful card, the geraniums look gorgeous and such a deep red. Would have loved to see a piccie of your geranium pots on your front porch, my neighbour has pots of red geraniums outside her front door lining each step and they always look gorgeous. I have hardy geraniums in my back garden which are pink.

Hi Lisa, I have been quiet of late as mu son had his ACL reconstructed and I have had my nurse hat on along with fetching things, cooking things and the like. I came over to leave you some love. These geraniums are so wonderful. I have several potted on my deck from white to pink to coral to red. Yours look so lush and beautiful. The woodgrain background is perfect, and the butterflies too. A beautiful composition, as always.

Gorgeous geraniums Lisa. I LOVE the deep red flowers with the soft pink butterflies flitting about. Your woodgrain background is just perfect and what a lovely sentiment. Amazing design as always! xx
