A Spectacular Spooky Gift Card Holder!
by Rachel Duong

Hi everyone! It's Rachel here with noneother than a spooky gift card holder! I am excited to share my project. Are you ready for some Halloween surprises?! Let's begin... Using Poppystamps dies from the latest release are the "Whittle Napping and Purring Cats".  I die cut them from Open Studio Black Glossy Paper. Next, using the "Basic Junk Journal Set" I die cut the holder in navy from the Memory Box Festive Glitter Pad. Having so much fun, I glued the one cat's tail over the other cat!

So many pieces from the "Basic Junk Journal Set" to choose. This is a must have!

As the gift card holder opens, the left side is where a gift card can be tucked into the pocket. The grey insert is for a message to the recipient. Continuing on... a second card holder is die cut from black cardstock and glued to the inside. I decorated it with images cut from Memory Box metallic, pearl and glitter papers. I am a fan of the pearlized ghosts!

Now when the message piece is lifted.....BOO! What a shocking surprise. I splattered white acrylic paint on the background and adhered the letters from the "Marzipan Alphabet".  On the right side, the "Poe Script For You" die looks fantastic in gold glitter. The "Jack O Lantern Frame" fit perfectly on the page. I pieced together the elements using orange metallic, green glitter and purple pearl paper to complete the desired look.

Not quite finished the back needs embellishing... The monster in green glitter and the pumpkin in purple metallic paper will do just fine. These images (the ghosts too) are from the Poppystamps "Whittle Scary Guys" and yes, they are scary! I adhered them to complete the card holder. The ghost peeking out is my favorite.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you find this creation absolutely terrifyingly awesome! Take care and see you on my next post.
