Birthday Wishes
by Lisa Elton
Flowers and hearts are a lovely way to send birthday wishes, don't you think? I wanted the focus to be on those elements, so I kept the rest of the card very clean.
The Criss Cross Heart Foil plate was the jumping off point for this card. I used gold foil on green cardstock then held my breath that it would work, and it did! I've foiled on white cardstock, but this was my first attempt at colored and I love the way it looks! Next, I played around with the positioning using a large oval die and cut the panel.
After adhering the oval to a white card base, I arranged the Layered Fringe Flowers around the birthday sentiment. Once I was pleased with the composition, I glued everything into place then popped some Fairy Gemstones into the flower centers.
I just love the fresh green on the crisp white background. It's a clean and layered card that really packs a punch!

Such a pretty card Lisa and I love the foiling on the green cardstock! I have mixed results with colored cardstock...sometimes it works and other times it goes in the trash! But anyway, it's a lovely resting place for your beautiful blooms and the birthday sentiment!! :0)
Beautiful card Lisa. Your foiled heart background is so pretty against the bright green. Love the dimension from your layered flowers.
Hi Lisa, A really beautiful card, I adore the 3-D flowers, so pretty.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Beautiful flowers and I LOVE the background!
Well, it turned out beautifully Lisa. Such a fabulous bloom too.
I was surprised too when I first foiled on colored cardstock. It came out beautifully just like yours, Lisa. The green is so pretty with the hearts and made a great place for your wonderful fringed flowers.
I haven't had your luck every time, Lisa, but when it's right WOW is this pretty! The green and gold makes for a lovely garden to plant your pretty yellow layered flowers! Someone is going to be very lucky to receive this birthday card from you!
