Joyful Bunny

I'm using some of my favorite older dies for this Easter card.  As much fun as new releases are, there are always old favorites that will always have a place in my stash.  I used one of the two Spring Bunnies - they are both so cute and so perfect for sitting with their eggs in a field of flowers (especially with a fluffy white tail!)  Then the Farm Fresh Eggs dies are basic egg shapes in different sizes that you can do anything with - papers or inking techniques or, for my card, lots of glitter!

I wanted my glittery eggs in a field of flowers so I used a variety from the Potpourri Flower set.  This set is fabulous but there aren't flower centers so I had planned on gems for the centers, but everything about this card is so soft and delicate, gems just didn't seem right. I pulled out the new set Layered Pointy Petals which has a variety of centers. I used the same pastel glitter colors for the centers.

I framed everything with the middle frame in Scalloped Stitch Frames. I used a soft blue cardstock outside the frame and a slightly darker blue in the inside. I love the way the pastel glitter and the whites look against the beautiful blue.  I added one little butterfly from Teardrop Butterflies since any meadow of flowers and bunnies (and eggs) just has to have a butterfly!

I had so much fun playing with my favorite Spring Bunnies and Farm Fresh Eggs. And I love the variety of flowers that Poppystamps has that I could choose from to give them a beautiful spring-life field.  I hope I've given you some ideas for your next spring card.
