Layered Tulips
by Candice Crawford

Poppystamps 2.23.23.2

Hi there crafty friends, Candice here on the blog sharing a card with you today using products from the Poppystamps new release. The new Layered Tulips dies is so stunning. This die set creates three lovely tulips with layers to the petals and varying lengths to the stems.

In addition to the new Layered Tulips dies set, I also used the new Pointy Lattice Plate for the background of my card that die cut from white cardstock. I also used the new Modest Banner Greeting foil and cut die set for the sentiment on the card. This die cut is super cool as it creates 5 folied sentiments with one pass of the die cut machine. The die set comes with a coordinating die for you to cut the sentiments out as a wavy banner.

To create a scene for te he layered tulips, I created a hilliside border for the flowers with the Poppystamps Hill and Valley Grass Border die that is unfortunately discontinued.  To make the tulips look a bit more realistic I added some leaves to the stems  of the tulips with the Graceful Heart Frame die. The leaves from this heart die set were die cut from green cardstock and added to the tulips.

I am a huge advocate for combining  dies and looking for nontraditional ways them to can create cards. In my opinion this card is stunning and filled with tons of layers. I hope you enjoyed today's card share and found inspiration. Until next time....happy crafting.
