Hey friends! Tiffany here. I thought I'd make a departure from holiday cards and use the Whittle Forest Reindeer kit to create a winter-themed birthday card. Have you checked out this adorable kit yet? The little deer and evergreen trees can create the cutest scene cards. The kit comes with several dies and a coordinating sentiment stamp set so there are a lot of card design possibilities. Let's get into the details of how to create this card!
First, create a mini slimline card base measuring 6.25 x 3.25 inches from white card stock. Trim a panel of patterned paper from the Jolly Christmas paper pad to 2.75 x 5.75 inches. Matte the panel with a piece of dark red cardstock from the Berry Red paper pad.
Next, with scissors trim two snowbanks from white cardstock. On the lowest snowbank, stamp a sentiment with black ink. Lightly ink blend the tops of the snowbanks with mint ink. Adhere the snowbanks in place with liquid glue and foam tape.
Die cut the pieces of the card - the trees and one deer. The trees were die cut from cardstock from the Vintage Pastel Mirror paper pad. And the deer was die cut from the Earth Neutral paper pad. The deer's hat was cut from the opposite of the patterned paper and the antlers were die cut from white cardstock and colored with brown dye ink. I added some shading to the deer with ink and cheeks with a copic marker.
Adhere the trees to the card front and add Fairy Sugar glitter glue in Mint Frost to the tops of the snowbanks.

Hi Tiffany, I love, love, love this card. The plaid patterned background paper is gorgeous, I love the snow-covered hills and the trees, the deer is absolutely 'darling' and I love how his head is tilted to the side, it looks like he is peeping round into the middle of the card to see what is happening, and the 'piece de resistance' for me is the deer's red plaid patterned hat, I love this.

Wow! Your card is fantastic!!! Love the design and colors. Definitely doesn't scream "holiday card!" I am just now making a January b-day card. It is a snow globe shaker to honor winter, with the Seattle Skyline to represent where it is coming from. :)
