Rainbow Cat Collage Card!
by Sphoorti

Hello there, Poppy Peeps!

Sphoorti here with a mixed medium card using the stunning Cat Collage die from the 2022 Fall release! Let's jump right in!

For this card, I took a card base sized 4.25 x 5.5 and used the Cat Collage die on the top flap and cut right through it. So, this card actually "sees through" to the inside. On the inside, I took a circle mask I made (took a piece of card stock and cut a circle out of it) and ink blended using some Concord and 9th inks that I had on my desk at the time. Then, I took some Nuvo Dream Drops in the Cloud 9 color and squirted it all over and evenly spread a thin layer before removing the mask.

I wanted my kitty to stand out more, so I took some silver foil card stock from the FP1002 Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad 6x6 pack and cut out the kitten from it and adhered it to my card base on top of the white kitty.

The front of the card looked a little bare to me, so I took the stitched rectangle frame from the 2478 Scalloped Stitch Frames craft die and cut a few layers and stacked them up and adhered the chip-board like frame to the card base.

For the sentiment, I used the Playful Hugs die and stacked a bunch of die cuts together to get the chipboard look and feel and adhered it below the kitty. I scattered some clear rhinestones for some shine too. This card was quite fun to make and I really liked the see-through effect with the texture paste in the back.

Here are some additional pictures that show the see through / cutout effect, and the effect of the Nuvo Drops on the ink blending.

Thoughts? Questions? Epiphanies? Let me know if you liked it! I have a variation of this card coming up very soon! Hint: It's Halloween themed, and it'll make you shake! See you soon!

Love,

Sphoorti
