Pondering Layered Deer
by Candice Crawford
Hi there crafters! Candice here on the blog today to share a bit of inspiration for all of you.
Did you know that we are just 58 days away from Christmas? Boy is this year flying by. If you are planning to make and send out Christmas cards this year, today's blog post contains some Christmas inspiration for you. I personally love the look of pastel Christmas. I adore the light colors of pink, teal and green for Christmas so I created a card showcasing these colors.
For my cardsharp today, I am using some of the new products from the Poppystamps Holiday release. I am using the Pondering Layered Deer, the Wintertime Snowflake Frame and the Pondering Merry Christmas dies all on my project.
I die cut the deer 3 times from pink, teal and green cardstock, then assembled them each with liquid glue. I used my black jelly roll pen to color in each of the eyes.
The background was cut from white cardstock using the Wintertime Snowflake Fram die. Then I cut a piece of vellum and adhered it to the snowflake background frame for a softer look to the card.
Next I die cut the Merry Christmas sentiment using white cardstock for the letters and a darker shade of pink cardstock for the shadow layer. I just love this font for the sentiment.
Lastly I assembled with deer to the background with liquid adhesive and popped up the teal dear in the center of the card with some foam tape. The sentiment is also popped up with 3M foam tape.
This card is absolutely stunning. I just love how it came together so easily.
Thank you all for joining me today for some Holiday card inspiration. Until next time crafters....happy crafting!
