Winter Wishes: Two Cards
by Tiffany Pryce

Hey friends and welcome back to the blog! Tiffany here, and I'm sharing two cards today. Both cards are an ode to winter and can be used for holiday cards or generic winter well wishes. If you're like me, you're still working on your holiday card stash. I'm looking for designs that are easy to make, but still impactful and pretty. Using the new Poppystamps holiday release fits the bill! If you haven't seen the gorgeous new products, head over to the shop after reading. Hopefully I can inspire you with these easy to make card designs.

CARD 1:

Start with a panel of smooth white cardstock trimmed to 5.25 x 4 inches. Ink blend three blues around the edges of the panel leaving a sort of highlight area for to bring the focal to the bears. Splatter the panel with clean water, diluted blue dye ink, and liquid glitter. Lastly, I used a white paint pen to dot around the panel.

Next, die cut snowflakes using the Snowflake Flurry Collage die. Keep the whole snowflakes for use on the inside of the card. Back the panel with a piece of glitter cardstock from the Glitzy Glitter paper pad. Adhere to an A2 card base.

Die cut the adorable polar bears from the Whittle Polar Bears die. Die cut them a few times for dimension. The top layer uses matte white cardstock from the Polished Foil paper pad.

Inside the card, stamp a sentiment from Wintertime Sentiments stamp set. Around it, adhere the snowflakes you saved.

CARD 2:

My second card is another sentiment-less winter card. Don't you love the warm and cozy vibes of the holidays?! The new Whittle Cocoa with Whip is perfect!

First, I adhered patterned paper from the Christmas Jolly paper pack to an A2 card base. I love the traditional colors with the twist of mint. Next, I die cut the Whittle Cocoa with Whip a couple times so it had dimension. I die cut the whip from white cardstock and lightly ink blended some brown ink on the side. I added liquid glitter on top. The cup was from red cardstock and again, I ink blended brown ink to add shading. Brown ink on red cardstock makes a deeper shade of red versus using a dark red ink. I also die cut two layers of the Snowflake Loop and adhered them together. I used the snowflake to die cut layers from white and gold cardstock.

I adhered all of the components together on the card front.

Inside the card, I used the negative piece of paper that I cut the individual snowflake from to create my own stencil. I ink blended several mint colored snowflakes. The sentiment is stamped from the Wintertime Sentiments stamp set.

Hope you enjoyed these cards and I'll see you next time. Happy Sunday!
