Hello Friends!

It's a beautiful day for some bright and cheery blooms and butterflies! Celebrate summer with one of our newest dies from Poppystamps, the Small Stained Glass Butterfly and Background.

I started with a pale pink frame from the Scalloped Stitch Frames set, and cut a piece of light blue for the background panel. Then I cut the Perfect Posies Bouquet in a juicy lime green. I cut pretty butter yellow flowers from the Potpourri Flower Set, and adhered them to different spots on the vines. It feels fresh and summery already!

I cut the Small Stained Glass Butterfly and Background in shades of blue, and added it to the upper right corner.

Once everything was in place, I added tiny pinkish Fairy Jewels and Fairy Gemstones to the centers of the tiny flowers using my favorite craft tweezers. I then mounted the pink frame onto a soft ivory card base in a wonky tilt for a fun effect. Once the glue was dry, I carefully lifted and bent the petals to make the flowers look like they were blooming right off the stems. Pretty and perfect posies for a warm summer day!
