You Can Do It

All of the butterflies in the May release are absolutely gorgeous!  This is the Large Stained Glass Butterfly and Background die. (This card does not use the coordinating "background" which is the same shape as the butterfly to add whatever you would like behind it.  In this case, I wanted the colorful stripes to shine through so did not use the background.)  The release also includes a small version of this butterfly and full card front die full of butterfly cut outs.  All of the butterflies in the release coordinate beautifully with each other.

There's a separate die for the body which is wonderful because you can use an accent color and make it stand out.  In this case, I used gold foil to add some shine and elegance.

I framed the butterfly and sentiment with the largest die from the Double Scalloped Stitched Frames. This help draw the eye into that amazing butterfly. Because of the bold look of the butterfly and the cheerful stripes, I chose the "You Can Do It" sentiment from the Art Deco Inspiration clear stamp set.

This card was truly quick and easy.  I simply die cut the butterfly and the frame.  I cut six strips of paper to 4 1/4" and then every so slightly less than 1/2". Then I heat embossed the sentiment. I applied adhesive to each and it was together. That gorgeous die as the focal point gives this simple card all the detail and interest it needs!

There are many other samples with the gorgeous butterflies on the blog. Be sure to scroll through and check them all out. They truly are amazing and work in so many different ways! I hope you enjoyed my clean and simple version.Kim Floral Signature copy
