Layered Lovely Flowers
by Kim Singdahlsen

I love a quick and simple card that still has lots of interesting details. The Layered Lovely Flowers die is the perfect die to use for this. This card consists only of a fun sentiment, three layered flowers, a strip of patterned paper and a sprinkling of lovely gems but the layers and details in the flowers make it look like so much more!

The Freestyle Hugs die has a wonderful bold look that works beautifully with those layered flowers. Then I cut out all four layers of the flowers each out of a single color and adhered them in the centers so the petals could pop up and add dimension.  I pulled my colors from the striped paper - giving it a warm summery look. The centers and the little accent gems are all from the Treasure Chest Fairy Gemstones  - I love the glow  and shine that these gemstones add.

With the four layers and the detail in each little petal, the Layered Lovely Flowers look so full and realistic. All four layers are on one die so it's one quick swipe through your die cutter, a bit of adhesive in the center of each, then just lightly bend up the petals.

I love these flowers and I can imagine them in so many ways - a soft card with pastel flowers, white flowers with colorful centers, a rainbow of different colors - they would even work in winter and holiday colors. It's  a simple and versatile die and I hope I've given you some ideas for it!Kim Floral Signature copy
