Napping Kitties
by Nancy Penir

Have you all seen what's new in the Poppystamps store? Hi, and welcome. Nancy here, and I'd like to introduce a few new dies, available in the store, right now!

Too cute, right? The napping kittens are from a new set called, Whittle Adorable Kitty Kit, and are just two of the sweet kitties that come with the set.

If you're a Whittle fan (and who isn't!) then this set is a must. Poppystamps gives you an  assortment of kitties, hearts, and accessory dies, and, some  cute sassy sayings stamps all in one kit!

We all know someone who can take naps in the middle of the day (sadly, not me), and this sentiment would tickle the funny bone of nappers. You see the rug they're napping on? Here's how I did it:

I die cut the smaller bright red circle from the die included in the kit. The larger circle is from an older set called Pointed Circle Frames. The circles were the guides for my fringe around the rug. I used ecru embroidery thread and a sharp needle, pulling the thread through every other hole, and securing with a drop of glue. And guess what? The fringe ended perfectly spaced!

My kittens were cut from white cardstock, and sponged with distress oxide ink. I darkened their eyes and whiskers a bit with a pencil, then added some 'blush' to their cheeks. The cute paw prints stamp is also included with the stamps.

Hope you enjoyed today's post, and have had a chance to add some of the new release to your Poppystamps collection!

Hi Nancy, Gorgeous !! This card is adorable, the Kitty Kit die set is a definite buy for me as I have a kitty of my own. I simply love your composition on this card and the papers and colours you have used have culminated in a gorgeous card.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Darling card design, fab technique for creating your rug for these kitties to nap.
